Wow is the only word I can use to start this review! My partner found this spot while we were visiting as we love trying plant based meals in new cities. Visiting from Miami, the Latin food standard is high and this was perfection. The restaurant has great decor, staff is really friendly, and the menu is super ample and diverse. We ordered the take on ham croquetas and they were so delicious. Melt in your mouth, explosion of flavor delicious. We also ordered their salad which came with a vegan feta and that was so good and fresh. For the entree we shared the cubarrito and it was delicious. Really generous portion. I will say food is a little pricey but worth the flavor and ambiance. Unfortunately we didn't get to try dessert as the kitchen closed but it seemed delicious. Would definitely return to La Semilla when ATL.

La Semilla is a chic, pan-Latin vegan spot. The menu emphasizes replicating non-vegan flavors and taste profiles more than it leans in to offerings that are already vegetable forward. For example, guacamole is conspicuously absent from the menu. In its place, you'll find a creamy (still vegan) Queso Blanco. That's a bold choice, but the dupe delivers. My favorite taste dupe, however, is the crunch wrap. It is spot on. It tastes identical to the much more famous, much less vegan version.

Atlanta is so blessed to have a restaurant like this in its ranks now. If I could give more than 5 stars on this app, I'd be lighting it up! I went on a holiday, which was super busy, but even so, service was prompt and attentive. I ordered a pasaflora to drink, which had a beautiful flower in it, queso blanco with chips, al pastor mushroom tacos, chochoyotes, and flan for dessert. Every single dish was inspired, layered with flavor, creative, and truly unique. The presentation was also lovely and each bite felt thoughtful and well-executed. I would order everything a million times over! One thing that especially stood out was the flan's texture, which was silky, delicate, and perfectly balanced. I was also pleasantly surprised to see fried green tomatoes on the menu. It felt like such a special nod to the restaurant's Southern location, blending regional influence in a really cool way. The owner was super nice, which made the experience even better. The decor is gorgeous and so inviting, with intimate, cozy lighting. The whole space feels clean, artistic, and thoughtfully designed. This is an amazing date-night spot that I truly hope sticks around for a long, loooong time. Everything about the atmosphere and experience makes it perfect for a special evening out. I'm already planning to go back and explore more of the menu, but based on my first visit alone, I might even dare to say this is the best vegan restaurant in Atlanta. The jury's still out, but I'm more than happy to keep doing the research to confirm!! lol Last thing I'll say is that I was so grateful not to have to wade through a bunch of non-vegan menu options to figure I it what I could actually order. I also don't have to wonder if my food was being cooked next to a slab of dead animal, which is not the case most places I go. So, thank you for being ALL vegan. The food is so good that there is no chance a non-vegan will feel they've missed out on meat anyway. Logistical stuff: I saw a little bit of street parking, but not a ton. Parking in the deck is definitely the easiest option. You could theoretically bike/skate the Beltline and just walk a couple of blocks to get there. The space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend making a reservation to be safe if you're visiting on a Friday/Saturday night.

Food was excellent, well done. Came in at 6:30, no reservation, seated right away. Street parking was okay. Nothing we ordered missed the mark-definitely want to go back and try other offerings!

We enjoyed sitting at the bar for a light Friday dinner. Ambience is fun and tropicalish. Bartender was very pleasant and explained the various menu items along with his recommendations. Personally, the menu is fairly limited in scope with the same ingredients presented in different dishes. Not very healthy either with plenty of fried options. Despite the plant based hoopla, it does not come close to similar concepts. Meh

This place is so cuteeeee, it was my first time here and I didn't get to try everything but I loved the yuca fries, they're so gooooood and very shareable. Owen was my server and he was a delight, everyone here was so nice! I also got the crunch wrap and I felt like it needed a little more seitan beef, but overall nice choice. The mojito was okay, in my opinion it was missing the sugar like in a traditional mojito not sure if it had any. Overall a great experience and I will come back again to try other dishes!

We found La Semilla on google maps as a highly rated dinner place, and we decided to try it out. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival, and our server brought us water almost immediately as well. We put in our orders quickly since they were closing earlier than expected-- the kitchen's HVAC system was down, but that didn't stop them from caring for us! :) We also got the food in a seemingly record breaking time. The beans were a tiny bit too spicy for me, although I'm sensitive to spice. My boyfriend enjoyed them very much. The lemon that came with the beans was so incredibly juicy?! It was so fresh. My Crunch Wrap's flavor was awesome, and the sauces were fantastic (although be aware for those with nut allergies, there are cashews in a lot of the sauces). I put some more chips in the crunch wrap for an extra crunch. The Cubarrito was . I wish there was a little more pico in it though. The Cubarrito was my personal highlight of the evening!! The texture... the flavor... all of it really hit the spot. Overall, this was a great find. I'm personally always open to trying something new. I have never been opposed to trying vegan food--I hope those who are reluctant to try it, give this spot a chance!

Don't know why it took me this long to try this place but it was so worth the wait! This restaurant is all plant-based, but their cocktails are also top notch. I did make a reservation and would recommend. We got there 15 mins early but were seated right away. We ordered their agua Fresca of the day (peach) and juarez (pretty much like an old fashioned with mezcal). For food, we ordered the fried mushrooms (my personal fave - the cracked black pepper elevated this dish for me), Crunchwrap (their most popular food item and tasted just like the real thing), cubano (another one of my faves, the pickles were so good and the melted cheese!!!) and chochoyote (very very rich dish but super comforting). Overall, we loved everything we had. Service was good. We were so full by the end of our meal and skipped dessert. We will definitely come back for more! They do validate 2 hour parking at the Modera parking deck, which is a plus!

Truly one of the best vegan/food experiences I've ever had. 1000/10 to be frank. The service was impeccable from arrival to departure. They truly care about your interests and how your experience is going throughout the entire experience. The decor and vibe is beautiful and very picture perfect. Would highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans. We ordered the following: Beach Bunny cocktail Flora mocktail Sikil Pak - spicy salsa Fried Green Tomatoes - a must! Delicious, crunchy, refreshing, saucy, etc. Mantequilla beans - very well seasoned & cooked Carne asada tacos - amazing taste Al pastor tacos - different and juicy Peach empanada w/ ice cream - the most perfect dessert

Queso blanco, carne asada tacos, Cubano

Love the vibe in here, the servers were great and had recommendations on the menu. I agree with previous reviews that the menu is limited, but I don't think a limited menu is necessarily a bad thing (generally means a restaurant is focusing on doing a few things very well). I went to La Semilla with a friend who is not vegan and she enjoyed her meal as well.

Omg! Just what I was looking for while visiting Atlanta . The best plant based Latin food ever. We had croquetas that were smoky and delicious, fried yuca and a Crunchwrap. We also had an apple empanada with ice cream and an agua Fresca which was apple cinnamon for the fall. The atmosphere was beautiful. Really cool place. Our server was great! She made really good suggestions for our meals.

I've visited La Semilla twice - once for a sit down meal and again for dinner at the bar. My favorite is the Cuban but we ordered 3 - 4 other items, including the taco crunch, shrooms and grits + plantain & dessert empanada. Overall, the food is great. The ambiance is nice and the location is convenient.

I drove in traffic for over 1 hour to dine here so I had high hopes. We ordered the queso blanco which came with chips, the carne asada tacos and the crunch wrap. Everything was delicious although the carne asada tacos were excessively greasy and the portions are on the smaller side. Unfortunately it seemed as if the bartender was having an off night because I had to send my mojito back. My partner and I were a but surprised by the small business fee that was added to our bill. This was our first time seeing this in Atlanta.

I felt the heft of the food in the bag immediately when I pick it up to deliver up out of it the deliciousness of everything inside. It felt like a heavy plate from the cookout or from Grandma's house after Sunday dinner. This is true food for the soul. I loved the sweet potatoes. I loved the mac and cheese. I loved, loved, LOVED the vegan chicken-like protein. I felt in love with it and the hot sauce that came with it. I was not a fan, in particular, of the collard greens--not because they lacked meat seasoning. They were a little too spicy for my liking. Otherwise, this is good food. It is Black-owned and-operated to my knowledge. Support, eat vegan, and be ye healthy.

There is a free parking lot a few steps away from the business and it's large so you shouldn't have a problem finding parking. I had the south of the border with a chili wrap and all ingredients. I had the half size which was extremely large and enough for two people to share or enough for two days. It's such a beautiful wrap but personally not my favorite. We got: - Chicken Satay: The chicken itself was so believable, stringy and smoky! And crunchy (though I'm used to satay meat being grilled). The sauce was tasty too- peanut-y, sweet, hint of curry. However, for $8, I'd expect at least 4 skewers. - Shrimp Chow Kway Teow: CKT is one of my favorite noodle dishes ever, and Mamak's version certainly did it justice. The wok hei was so present, the noodles perfectly chewy, and the veggies (snow pea, onion, carrot, bean sprouts) well-cooked. The shrimp was insane, so bouncy and real-feeling. - Olive Fried Rice: Can't say I've ever had olive leaves before, this dish was delightful! Lots of great toppings (tofu, carrot, green bean, mushroom) that gave some textural diversity. - Black Pepper Beef: The black pepper essence was clearly distinguishable, but the sauce was too sweet for me. The beef was truly reminiscent of the actual thing. Lots of tasty veggies again (cauliflower, celery, jicama, carrot, bell pepper). Overall, taste-wise, all of the dishes were great; however, we did not feel portion sizes matched prices. Service could also stand to improve, with regards to attentiveness. To note, the restaurant is self-seating (I wish there was something that said this at the entrance).
