Before we left Colorado Springs, my husband wanted menudo for breakfast and this was listed first. It's in a small shopping center. Love the bright colors along with the sunlight streaming in. As we were waiting to order, it was cool that someone brought a Dutch oven to purchase a pot of menudo. Like many restaurants we have been to, they seemed short staffed so we were very patient. My husband loved the barbacoa taco and his menudo was excellent. My son and I enjoyed the huevos rancheros. The potatoes are French fries so I was happy when they made my salad a little larger. I thought salad was a great touch. Colorado ranchero sauce is thinner with probably New Mexico red chilies. It was very good. Oh and be sure to check out the bakery in the store. read more

I am giving a 2 Star just because The place was very dirty and I came here on a short notice because I was very hungry from a long trip. Right when i came in it was very awkward and quiet with no music and dirty from the start. It didn't mind dirty because I thought lowkey the dirtiness was lowkey going to suprise me with the food but absolutely not. Im giving a 2 star and not a 1 star because they do have a OG Bakery here and it looked pretty good. The young lady Was helping a lot covering both the bakery and the food area and The old lady was there standing on her phone not even cleaning up the area. The food was just OK. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the two female waitresses seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but there. When we walked in there was no one to greet us so we waited for a while and eventually just sat down at a booth. We waited the booth for another 10 minutes as the waitresses served other guests and gave us weird looks. eventually one of the waitresses came up to our table and asked us if we were going to eat there... Kind of an odd question if you were sitting down at a table in a restaurant waiting for a menu or to be served. We told her that indeed we were there to eat and she said well you have to order up at the counter we don't have menus. OK... That's fine we already knew what we wanted so we didn't have to go to the counter. Our drinks were eventually brought to us and slammed on the table and the waitress just walked away. I'm not sure if she was mad at us, her job, life, or a combination. When the food eventually arrived it was just OK nothing spectacular nothing that makes me crave it and want to go back. No one ever checked in on us during our meal or asked us if we needed anything. No one brought us the check or took our plates away. We paid and left and left a big fat zero dollar tip. read more

I went on a quest to look for good Mexican food again and wasn't at all impressed with La Sinaloense. The concept is pretty cool with a restaurant that has a small Mexican Bakery attached. We tried a few breads and the only thing we really liked was the Cream Cheese Empanadas. I was pretty disappointed with the Flan because it was burned on the bottom. As for the main food, the Asada meat was terribly bland and dry. They make their own tortillas but they were also really dry. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno plate and it was a little on the Tex-Mexy side. Overall, I probably won't be going out of my way to try this place again. read more

We went to eat here today my husband and I. We ordered a menudo with bread, caldo de mariscos with tostadas and kids mini breakfast. It did take a bit but the place was packed, when our food arrived it was delicious. The menudo was great and smelled delicious not like other places we've gone to that the soup smells like the tripe like not washed not here absolutely delicious, and the mariscos were very tender and delicious the heat was just the perfect amount. We got some bread we always do every time we go and it's the best sweet bread I've ever tasted not even in Mexico have I had bread this good. We bought conchas, this jalapeño bread with cream cheese, empanadas, and donuts. 10/10 recommend and definitely will be my go to spot from now on read more

My review is for the panaderia (bakery) strictly, as it's the only part of La Sinaloense I've utilized. I was looking for a local panaderia, since the closest I could find was dried up breads from local grocery stores. I tried this place on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! They have a large selection that always taste fresh. At home, I just stick the bread in the microwave a couple of seconds to get if soft again and it's good for days. I was waiting for my laundry to finish in the morning and wanted to try this spots sweet bread. I was lucky to get there right when the bread was still warm from being freshly baked. I could've taken a whole bag of sweets with me but I tried a cuerno. Only 85 cents and it was bigger than the size I am used to but that's a plus. oh my god, me and the wife finally found one... We found one!!! a mexican bakery or as it is known a panaderia. We walk in and our literally opened up, it was so beautiful, it was a climax for our eyesight and our nose. We wanted to buy the entire display, only down fall on this bakery is that they charge per bread, back in Los angeles they charge per dozen. Delicious horchata that reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk. We ordered chicken and cheese enchiladas in the red sauce, and a cup of the green sauce on the side. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. We didn't wait more than ten minutes, and the temperature was perfect. The beans and rice were full of good flavor, and I didn't have any problem eating until I was stuffed. The spicy green sauce was good, but I liked it as a condiment and not smothered over the enchiladas. My personal preference is a medium hot salsa, so someone who likes hot salsa would like this. Amazing place I'm from SoCal and just moved up with my husband. He's Mexican and I'm Salvy and this place hits both our cultures! The pan is sooo good and their food too! The staff is great the girl who helped us out with our food was really nice the other girl who is usually at the Pan section isn't so courteous but I'm there for the food! The prices aren't so high as other people say. If you're from Cali you know high prices. My husband and I have eaten there and had pan and we have never gotten sick. It's a great spot I love it! the mexican food here really is quite good, if that's all they had they would pull a 4 star review no problem - where they really shine is the bakery/pastry shop that's part of the restaurant . A dizzying (and amazingly cheap ~35 cents for a pastry cheap) selection of fresh baked treats, doughnuts, eclaires, and other creations I don't even know the name of but gobble up with complete disregard to my diet. Grab some breakfast or lunch here, and if you need tasty treats for that meeting at work, skip the mega doughnut chain and try this place out! read more

I will preface this by saying that I didn't try any of the food. I was there for the pastries! Mexican bread is yummy. I've bought the Bimbo conchas and while they're fine they just can't compare to a concha from a panaderia (bakery). This panaderia had quite the selection, and I should know since my dad sells bread back in California. I like that the place is clean, as is the area where the bread itself is actually kept. I've seen some rather shady looking panaderias and I'm quite picky, so the cleanliness was super important to me. My husband and I ended up with about 8 pieces of bread and the total was about $6. Pricier than I'm used to (my dad used to sell them at 25 cents, but I recently found out that price has gone up (hasn't everything?)), but worth it. I got a cuernito and a concha and both were yummy. I may snag some of the ones my husband has left. :-) The only bad thing about this place is that it's rather far and I can't see making the trip often. Still, may rethink that because good Mexican bread is hard to find. read more

I recently moved to Colorado about a month ago and I was looking for an authentic mexican restaurant when one of my coworkers recommended this place and I gotta tell you its absolutely delicious! The bread served there is made fresh everyday and it's to die for especially the conchas and cuernitos with sugar on top. The tres leches cakes are delicious as well as the food. I had the fried fish and it was delicious well seasoned, and perfectly cooked; the owners are great people and very friendly as well as all of the staff. Defenetly recommended this place. read more

My recommendation is to eat somewhere else. La Sinaloense is advertised as a Mexican food with bakery. This is an 'order at the counter' place. We decided to try them out for late breakfast, and found they serve the most blah meals we've ever had anywhere. Apparently the people who work at this eatery don't share a tastebud between them. We were so disappointed with our meals that we decided not to buy any baked goods afterward thinking they would probably be as tasteless as the meals had been, although they did smell very nice. He ordered Huevos Rancheros which arrived with cool, not hot, refried beans on the plate. It's sauce had a few sliced jalapenos in it, but no flavor or spiciness. No garlic or chili adorned the meal. A couple of paper salt/pepper pkts, napkins, catsup pkts, plasticware, 1 metal fork, and 3 disposable cups of salsa were brought in a plastic sandwich tray for customers to share. There were no condiments such as pickled onions, radishes, sliced cucumber, or fried whole jalapenos. No salsa bar. I ordered a grilled chicken burrito after having to ask the waitress to give me prices on various menu choices, which she had to repeatedly look up on the cash register. After finding that most plate meals were $15 and up I just chose a burrito. I thought the sign showed grill markings on the chicken, so I was not very thrilled at receiving carnita chicken instead, a little tough to chew, but it was warm real shredded breast meat that should have been delicious. However it was as unseasoned as everything else, without even any pico de gallo. There are a lot of ways to dress up a chicken burrito and make it wonderful. The burrito also contained some pink rice with no garlic or other flavor, and some melted white cheese with no flavor, and a small amount of refried beans. It sure could have used some cilantro at least. Salsa cups on the side were even more bland if that's possible. The green salsa was tasteless green liquid, and the red had a little smoke taste reminiscent of canned chipotle peppers, but again no actual flavor or any heat, just some reddish liquid. If you love very bland food this is the right spot for you, that is if you don't mind no prices posted on the menu board, and an offhand attitude from the waitress like you are taking up her time. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else to eat. We're still looking for the "Holy Grail' of Mexican food. If anyone knows where that is, please let me know. read more

Only ate there once. It's a small family type place with a Mexican bakery on one side. I had the fried tilapia and my husband had the caldo blanco. Both were very good and we would definitely go back for the same. I would not recommend the beans or the rice. The have no liquor license. I placed an order a week ahead, asked them to please have it ready at 9:00am, but when I arrived they were placing the cake in the oven. I had to wait One and a Half hours for my order to be ready. They didn't offer a discount or even one small piece of bread while I waited. They just didn't care that it was not ready. I had my guest waiting in my home while I had to wait for 1.5 hours. First visit to this city, looked to Yelp for a suggestion. The place is hard to get to due to traffic patterns but I say it's worth the extra effort. Very satisfied with simple meal, enchiladas, all fresh ingredients and served nice and warm. Wait staff was very pleasant. Oh, and check out the bakery for something to take home for dessert too. The food is really good when it is good. The main issue seems to be a lack on consistency. Some weekends everything is super good and seasoned well and the next week, its alright and somewhat bland. The menudo is delicious when its done well. It often lacks salt and hominy though. I've also really missed the green avocado salsa, for some reason they stopped serving it at all the past months, but it was the best. Ramsey is always great though.
