Had dinner here one weeknight with the hubs family. I had the fried shrimp and we shared an order of their house fried rice. My husband ordered their whole tilapia (fried), the king crab legs and crawfish. My son got the chicken nuggets with fries. He only ate the fries. I thought the fried rice was very good and the fried shrimp was great too. It didn't have as much flavor as I would like but it was good enough to enjoy. Their condiments come in squeeze bottles that the whole table can share. I actually mistook their ranch for the tartar sauce and didn't even realize it till two shrimp in. It didn't taste all that different to be honest. They should probably label their bottles though. I do remember thinking the red bottle should hopefully be ketchup and not cocktail sauce when I poured it on my plate - which it was, thank goodness. It's very simple decor here. They have flat screens on the walls to watch shows/games. It's a small dining area but they make good use of what space they have. This was a very very mild winter and still charging $7.99 for crawfish is just too much. Online says they close at 10, but I took it upon myself to call just to be sure. No one answered so I drive 30 minutes to get here making it around 9:35 just for them to say they were closed. I am honestly trying to wrap my mind around the good crawfish that everyone keeps posting about here. The staff was okay, for what I can say about this place! Crawfish however, I wouldn't recommend if you're a creole as I am. The crawfish was not seasoned at all and tasted gritty and not worth the market price they were selling them by. This place only places 3lbs at a time ONLY!! I do and must repeat ONLY 3lbs at a time and no flavor. I ordered garlic butter crawfish on a Sunday and they were 7.99lb, with a minimum of 3lbs every time you ordered. I live 12 minutes from this lovely establishment! I called and literally as I'm driving here I am placing my order. There was a gentleman that answered the phone and he was extremely helpful with me finding this location! When I arrived I called to let them know I was parked out front and he let me know that my order was ready. I went inside and the young lady who finished helping me practiced social distancing perfectly with great customer service and a smile. When I got home BABBYYYY the crawfish was everything! Great food. Great spicy level. Never had any issues with wait time. I have not sat inside to dine probably never will but I love to take it home. Food stays nice and hot and never over cooked. If I'm correct, the owner of the seafood department in the Hung Dong Market nearby also owns this restaurant, so you know he got the hookup for great size crawfish. We tried a pound of two of each flavor of crawfish because of course, it's called LA spicy crawfish afterall. They had the cajun and the garlic butter with your choice of heat, how spicy you want them. Both were good but we preferred the garlic butter extra spicy. It was even better when you mixed both batches. Yum yum with a kick. Crawfish was 7.99 a lb when we went, A few bucks higher per lb compared to other places but it was worth it to give it a try. Oh how it hurts to make this updated review. My family has been coming to LA Spicy Crawfish on a regular for years, and we have also brought and referred friends here as well over the years. We have stayed true to them even through covid19 togo times and had nothing bad to say since I initially left my 5 star review with them a couple of years back. But tonight, something was just totally off with our togo. We always do anywhere from 10-15 lbs of spicy garlic butter crawfish anytime we order as they have been our "go to" place since longer than I can remember. My kids always loved the food here and often requested for it. I always had the joy of watching them tearing the food up at location or at home when ordered takeout. Today, I ordered 11 lbs of spicy garlic butter. To start, when we got home, it didn't look anything like 11 lbs. Mind you, we always order 10-15 lbs every order, so I have an idea of what 11 lbs should look like. Then, when the kids started to eat, they started to pick out, complain, and throw out many dead ones. They are seasoned crawfish eaters as my wife and I have trained them growing up, so they know the difference between live and frozen, as well as live and dead. My daughter also exclaimed that the taste is nothing like what we have ordering from them for years. Needless to say, they ate in disgust instead of jubilation as I have been accustomed to watching them whenever I order from here. It purely was a disappointment tonight and I'm not sure what went wrong. We might come back one day as we always loved this place, but it just won't be anytime soon. In the meantime, well have to look for somewhere else. When everyone else is having crawfish special for $5.99 per lb or less and I stay true to your $7.99 per lb and order 10-15 lbs every order, I need to see the consistency, but more importantly, I need to see my kids happy when they eat. Moved to Houston couple months ago now and tried several crawfish restaurants ,finally came here since my friends said this is really good. We order 3 pounds crawfish garlic butter mild and one order of calamari. Oh my god , it taste so yummy , a lot of garlic which I really like and the crawfish are fresh. I've been coming here for years. I've lived in the Willowood area for 15 years. Today 7/24/2020 had a very bad experience. It closes at 9 I understand because of the Covid-19. I went in at 8:45 and the girl in charged told me they were closed and walked away to go trash out. I waited till she came back and asked her if I can order to go. She had a very bad attitude and talk to someone in the back and came back and said only crawfish or shrimp. I order 5 pounds of crawfish and brought them home. When I started eating the crawfish was not cool thru it was hard and has no flavor whatsoever. My husband ate some also and same thing very bad taste. I had order the garlic butter but it tasted like washed up water. I saved them and I'm taking them back tomorrow since it closed already. Bad taste in my mouth!!! read more

This was my first time here and I must say that it was better than expected. My wife and I were actually headed to another place, but I remembered I had seen this place passing by one time and thought we should give it a try. We were so glad that we did and will definitely be returning. The crawfish tasted amazing and so did the snow crab. The flavor and spiciness was perfect. Also ordered house fried rice which had crawfish in as well. The corn, potatoes and sausage, was just the right flavor. The location is decent in size, has tables as well as booths, and was very clean. The waiters were very nice and attentive, had good sense of humor, spoke very good English, and checked on us more than enough times. The owner told me that the business is related to New LA Crawfish, but... #drama. I've been going to back to this place and they have consistently good crawfish. Even one of the owner I guess he was looks just like the owners dad that hangs out a lot at NLACB lol. But I think when comparing apples with apples they are very similar. Except I think I like this place just a tad bit better! Their crawfish was garlicky and buttery just like its sister restaurant except it has a Cajun taste when you get the juices from the heads that the other restaurant lacks.
