Water down beans on a soggy tortilla, meat had off flavor, very undercooked and tough.

We've tried this taco truck a few times giving them a second chance, but to no avail, their tacos are literally disgusting, see photos. The beans they serve are the consistency of water, fajita meat had a foul flavor and very tough, bacon on their taco was very undercooked. We showed the window lady these tacos, and hope they would offer to remake or refund which she did not but agreed and stated she would let her cook know. I Would not recommend, will not return.

Great new food truck in front of Los Cazadores hunting store in Stonewall. If you're a fan of the restaurant in Fredericksburg, definitely check this place out. They do a brisk lunch business, but you can call your order in ahead of time to reduce your wait. We love the street tacos - you get five soft corn tortillas (OK, technically 10 since they're doubled up) filled with your choice of asada, pastor or fajita meat. A fiery grilled jalapeño is included, as are some chopped onions and cilantro. They also have bigger tacos available with more fixings, not to mention quesadillas and burritos. Competiton for the two shaded picnic tables can be fierce, but we usually take our food to go. Conveniently located on the wine trail between Fredericksburg and Hye.

Waiting at this delightful little roadside stop.

However, they will charge you for a cup of water and there is a $.40 service fee which I cannot explain. At least there was no credit card fee, but the tip screen was waiting. To be honest, their bacon and egg basic taco is pretty average, nothing special, but their red spicy sauce definitely took it up a notch. Their potato sausage and egg taco barely had any discernible sausage to it. It's the communal salsa bar that really makes the tacos extra special. They do have a fountain drink station, bottled soda on ice and a pot of coffee by the order window. You can get quite a variety of mixed drinks like margaritas along with numerous beer choices, although no local beers. Because of the value and sauces, I would definitely come back to this spot again. And just so you know, they do not have a public bathroom here and they are closed Monday. Ten informative photos to fill in what words miss.

There is a covered attached patio that helps during their busy times (weekends). Even though they have gotten more popular, their service and food quality have not suffered one iota. You may arrive hangry, but you will not leave hungry. Their portions are generous, and you can even order a breakfast mimosa to jump-start your day. Our Chilaquiles and Huevos Divorciados were cooked and served perfectly. The chilaquiles sauce, always red, was outstanding. Dis and Dat: They are open until 2 PM for lunch, and they have expanded their weekend hours. Verify via their website. Parking is offstreet and the lot is fairly large. Service is exceptional. Their young waitstaff are all well-trained. Don't be surprised if the manager stops by to check on you. We were bummed when Nury's on Main closed as their Pizole was 5-stars but this location is an easy 5-star review.

We ordered coffee ($3 per cup) and water. We were brought the coffee and waters and we ordered. I had the Huevos Rancheros ($17) and my wife had the Fruit Granola Yogurt ($13). Our food was brought out after a bit and it looked good. However, there were problems with both dishes. My wife's dish, advertised a Greek Yogurt was more like they scooped some Yoplait into the bowl instead. There was some fruit chunks, but not near enough to justify the $13 cost. She said the carved strawberry was the best part of the dish and the granola was good, but certainly did not taste homemade. My dish was barely warm, the beans were way too soupy, and I had asked for over-medium eggs, but they came over easy. I sent it back and told the server the dish was lukewarm and the eggs were not prepared as requested. She quickly came back with another plate that pretty much had the exact same issues. Lukewarm beans and potatoes and over-easy eggs. Rather than send it back again, I ate less than half and called it quits. Our bill came to ~$40 and it was probably worth less than half that. Another tidbit is that we had to ask twice for coffee refills. The place was not really busy either. Not sure why it gets 4+ stars because I struggle with giving it 2. Overall, not worth the price and the quality of the food was lacking. Service was decent, but aside from that it doesn't rate another visit. Well more like everything else on the road didn't look to appealing. Let's get straight to it. The service was great, the bathroom was clean, and the tables were clean. It could use a little update, but that's not what I'm reviewing this time. We had the papas locas, quesabirria, and fajitas chilingas and of course corn tortillas! The basic chips and salsa were brought to the table. The salsa literally tasted like only black pepper. I thought there is no way anyone on purpose puts that much black pepper in a salsa. Maybe an accident? It was inedible. Kinda of scared us with the start. The next dish was good but not good. Let me explain. The papas locas are just fries, with some type of white cheese sauce, guac, meat, and sour cream. It just felt lazy. It needed something to tie it all together. It wasn't until they brought our mains, with the spicy table sauces that it hit. It needs some type of spice, to mellow out the richness and balance and meld it all together. The portion was great for the price. Maybe add jalapeños and you hit something. The mains on the other hand were dang good. Especially the birria. In this world of food trends, the quesabirria is the current star. Most places have their own version, but the top two mistakes, is that the make its either entirely too salty or they don't add enough spice and it feels more like a broth for soup rather than a true consume. This place did neither. The munchkin has never said any birria is as good or better than mine. Well looks like the day came. It was absolutely fantastic! The corn tortillas, spectacular alone, elevated this to the point it's probably in the top three birria tacos I've ever had anywhere! Bravo! The fajitas chilangas were great. But the problems I always have resurfaced from time to time. First, this was cheap bistec, they just seasoned it perfectly. NOT fajita. The chicken was good, and the chorizo and jalapeno were a great new way to have it. The problem is there was neither enough chorizo nor jalapeno to take it to the level of the birria. It was almost good enough, but with the beautifully executed corn tortillas, it was more than adequate for our hunger pangs. The charro beans I asked for were actually undercooked. That is a first for me. They are usually overcooked. They had decent flavor, just needed more time. The table salsas were also good. Just enough spice, and just enough heat. Not salty at all. I work stop by again if I was in the area! We had great dessert, but can't give them credit since it was a third party.
