If your are traveling from San Anton or HTX to Fredericksburg, or back, MAKE ROOM FOR Leroy's TexMex. This place has more to offer than really good food (the pulled pork is amazing), there are swings, picnic tables, and seasonal offerings like ice cream, peaches etc. I'm just saying, you should try LeRoys!

Limp Brisket delicious!!! I did it all for the brisket!

I'm calling this place Bruce Leroy's cause they are kicking arse! If you park in the back be careful. I learned the hard way, the first door you encounter is actually the kitchen door. I walked in and saw the cook. He saw my embarrassment and said "hey come on in I've got some dishes for ya" lol! This spot is next to a field with all types of goodies like pumpkins, squash, okra , etc and behind a cute little shop so it can be confusing. But I'm here for it and ready to be part of the crew since I'm already on dish duty ha! I ended up doing the brisket tacos (the Limp Brisket tacos, love the name.) These are so tender and a must if you are out this way. The assortment on wines was spectacular. The prices were very reasonable. The bartender was a lady who made me laugh so hard I was crying. And the customers were so much fun. I can't wait to see if they will expand like the word on the street says. This spot is going places and has checked all the boxes I look for when I go out. Thanks for an unforgettable fun experience.

The menudo was amazing--perfectly seasoned with tender pork belly that took it to another level.

I've been to a lot of BBQ places in Texas, both the famous ones and the hidden gems, but Leroy's in Fredericksburg really impressed me. The menudo was amazing--perfectly seasoned with tender pork belly that took it to another level. Luke, the owner and pitmaster, brought us some end cuts, and they were incredible. Also, a big shoutout to Ed behind the bar. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our experience even better. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

This spot was hidden behind Jenschke Orchards and was a great find on our way into Fredericksburg! You can tell this spot is a regular visit for people who frequent Fredericksburg or stop by the peach stand. The nachos and the burger were both delicious! My husband and i decided to split the two items and end of with a peach ice cream from Jenschke Orchards. The service here is super sweet and helpful! The workers had great suggestions and explained the menu in detail! Will definitely be back when we come back to Fredericksburg!

Carnitas taco. Huge. I got another tortilla and made another taco to take home.

We finally stopped here for lunch. It always looked packed but there is actually lots of room inside and out. They have beer/wine/ and agave margs. Started with a small queso and good chips. We both got tacos. The wife had pork belly and I had Carnitas. Lots of meat and slaw on fresh hot tortillas. Very tasty. The ladies working were very nice and friendly. We want to go back for smash burgers. Lots of BBQ. Breakfast tacos on the weekends. Bar and TVs.

Food is outstanding. We ordered the bean bowl which comes with chips and was delicious. Service is friendly. We love this place.

My son and daughter-in-law treated me and her mom to a Mother's Day weekend in Fredericksburg where we had a great time making memories together. We made the rounds, but our favorite stop had to be Leroy's Tex Mex BBQ. We'd already had lunch, so we just sampled a few apps--but wow. The chips, salsa, and queso were so good. I honestly wish my local taqueria had Leroy's salsa recipe! We also tried the blackberry and peach margaritas (amazing), and the ranch water hit the spot too. We loved the vibe, friendly service, and reasonable prices. It won't be our last visit to Leroy's Tex Mex BBQ!

    Pork Belly Taco

The food here was fantastic plan on stopping by again before we leave town. Best of both Mexican and BBQ favorites. Service was quick and friendly - the indoor dining space is small so would avoid peak hours. Lots of outdoor seating but it is July in Texas. We had two tacos a brisket and pork belly along with a bowl of the brisket menudo- make sure and add the ramen! The chips and queso were really good as well. Definitely adding to our must do list for Fredericksburg.

    Muddled jalapeño margarita

This place is amazing! We have driven by countless times but didn't even know it was there. The food is so delicious. Do not skip the award winning queso! The tacos are large. One was plenty for me. I had the carnitas and it melted in my mouth! The smoke flavor was excellent. Our friends had the street tacos (three different kinds) and the bean bowl. Both were incredible. If you are a margarita fan, theirs are remarkable with freshly muddled fruit or in my case jalapeños. Truly an amazing find!

Full order of chicken nachos with margarita flight! Perfection!

Saw this place on Instagram and thought a mix of Tex-Mex and BBQ would fit my family perfectly. Small inside but food was excellent! Great flavors and nice folks! The margarita flight was just right to change things up from all the wine. Had a Rita flight with peach and pineapple!

Our first time at Leroy's after wanting to try it for so long. It's really cute inside and not noisy or over-crowded, which I like. They serve wine and beer which was a plus! The pulled-pork sandwich was just okay, as it was dry and hardly had any flavor. The charro beans were delicious, but not served hot. We really wanted to love it, but will have to try something else next time.

Limp brisket taco and elote with brisket

At first I was skeptical of a bbq joint outside of Austin but I was so hungry after the 1.5 hour drive to get to Fredericksburg that I was willing to give it a shot. I'd have to say it's one of the best bbq places I've been to in a while. I dare say even better than most bbq places in Austin. It's an order at the counter and pick up the food yourself type of place. They had a pretty extensive menu but I opted for the limp brisket taco and the elote with brisket. The brisket taco was amazing!!! The meat here was just so well prepared. Even the beef fajita taco that my friend got was amazing. For the price of $6 per taco, it was pretty decently priced. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Fredericksburg to check out the rest of the menu.

Tiny building, huge flavor! I almost don't want to write an overly glowing review because it's such a cute little (not so secret anymore) spot to grab GREAT food and enjoy the friendliest service, but here I am. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. Nachos, yes! Tacos, also yes! Enchiladas, daydreaming now. If you're passing by, stop in. If you're local, you already know.

Fruit store. The white building is where the restaurant is located.

ChatGPT raved about Sunset Grill, so we hopped in the car and zoomed down. Upon arriving, we walked into the cramped restaurant, and we were greeted by a nice hostess. She put our name on a list, and we had a brief 5-10 minute wait before we were seated. We were handed menus and left to peruse the menu. After a brief wait, we were greeted by our waiter and he took our drinks. In good time the waiter was back with drinks and he took our order. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. It came with potatoes and toast. The wife ordered the plate with eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and potatoes. The wife and I sat and had a nice visit. We should not have drank our drinks so fast, as they stayed empty the entire time we visited. Our waiter not once made eye contact so we could get a refill either. After an average wait time, our food came. Our waiter noticed the drinks and then refilled them. My omelette was undercooked and watery, the cheese was not melted, and the bacon was chewy. Furthermore, the toast was also very dry. I would have gotten butter to put on them, but the waiter never came back to check on us. The wife's eggs were cooked over hard, the bacon was rubbery, and very underwhelming. Our drinks went empty and we never got refills, again. We paid the bill and went shopping. I was glad to get out of there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but I think they missed the mark here. ChatGPT did me dirty on this one. I don't know if they just were having a bad day, or what the deal was, but this was a one and done for me. I cannot say I recommend this one. I was very disappointed.

I was very excited to write this review about the positive experience and I had here. In my images, I showcase a beautiful French omelette. It is so easy for people to get omelettes wrong and overcook them until they are a rubbery mess. But mine was very soft, decadent, and fluffy with a very beautiful balance of all flavors present in the dish. I also appreciated the salad that came with it because I think starting the day off with some fiber is very healthy for the body. In the past, I've had the steak and eggs and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. But when I came to visit on this specific day, they were out and happily recommended the omelettes instead. It can get crowded, but I don't agree with the reviews here that say the restaurant gets too loud. Let's be honest. Fredericksburg has a certain type of demographic and at times I feel they are unfairly nitpicky to the local businesses. When the restaurant is crowded, it's lively and full of smiling faces and servers who are eager to serve and make sure that you enjoy your meal. Restaurant was also clean on our visit and the restrooms were well taken care of. I can't wait to come again for breakfast!

I love the set up of the main dining room. I'm always a fan when you can see the kitchen preparing the dishes from your table. Hill and vine pairs their excellent food with some amazing local wines. We tried the William Chris to pair with the pork chop (which was excellent). We started the meal out with the mahi ceviche. What a flavor bomb! Highly recommend. Service was perfect. Attentive, but not overly so. I always think the price is very fair considering the quality of ingredients and the care put into the dishes. Will be back for sure when in the hill country.

We had Kristen as our server, she was so attentive and sweet. To start we tried the sweet cornbread, lavender mint lemonade, and regular lemonade. The lavender mint lemonade was one of the best drinks I've had in a while. For our meals he had the BLTA with fries and I had the avocado and lime salad with tri tip steak. Absolutely stellar food, quality ingredients and great flavors. We had leftovers for sure, lol, something to eat on the drive back to DFW the next day. For dinner, we sat outside and had Jess as our server. She was also really nice, she had quite a few tables and still managed to give us plenty of attention. We had carnitas nachos and the ground beef soup. The carnitas nachos are... unnecessarily large. lol Luckily the soup bowl was very small so I was able to help the boyfriend with some nachos. But my small effort was not enough and he tapped out of the nachos at the halfway mark. Highly recommend the nachos if you have four friends with you. =D This was a great restaurant with a lovely outdoor space. If we lived in Fredericksburg, I could easily see us making this a monthly hang out on Friday nights. If you have the chance, make sure to get in with Kristen or Jess, you won't be disappointed.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.
