Salad is delicious, burrito was big and the best! Salsa bar is a win win

Great Mexican restaurant. Everything on the menu is 10/10. Made fresh to order, great customer service. Stay local

If you want authentic Mexican food, eat here. Every single thing we ordered was made from scratch, fresh, DELICIOUS. Even my daughter's cheese nachos tasted amazing. And the drinks! I had the mango margarita and husband had the strawberry margarita. So so yummy! I highly recommend you try this place.

What a lovely lunch during a day of wine tasting in Buellton. We were greeted warmly and seated at a table of our choice. The dining room is filled with light, and although you'll see a sign at the checkout counter to "order here", it's table service for dining in. We had heard about their mole sauce and had to try the mole enchiladas (chicken and cheese, plus really good rice and beans - $17.95). Mole sauce was legit! A solid dish. We also had the Chile La Tequila ($19.25), a poblano pepper stuffed with beautiful, fresh shrimp, creamy cheese sauce, and chipotle sauce. Delicious. Served with their La Tequila salad - which was amazing! Crisp, fresh greens, avocado, dried cherries, mango, fresh mandarin (tangerine?), and their housemade tequila dressing. I would go back for this salad alone. Housemade salsas at the salsa bar are great; chips were just okay but they're merely a delivery vehicle for these gorgeous salsas. We didn't partake of the adult beverages here but they had a list of wines, bottled beer, and some cocktails made with agave wine. They also have a kids menu. You take your check to the counter to pay, and if you're lucky you may see the chef in the open kitchen making a batch of her chile rellenos: big, beautiful clouds of light batter embracing the fresh peppers. I want to try those next time! A real gem. Do visit.

Foods were tasty but there's no ac inside the restaurant. It was impossible to enjoy our meal when i felt like i was suffocating in dead heat with two little ones sweating bullets and crying they were hot. Order to go or wait until sunset to dine outside.

My wife had the special Michelida with shrimp.

Great service, excellent service, friendly and makes you feel like family. We had the fajitas, one was shrimp and the other plate was steak. Also had a salmon plate and it was greay

Combo plate w/ two enchiladas. One green sauce, one red. Rice & Beans (in a cute little tostada cup).

Girls Trip to Solvang... ended up in Buellton on the way back home, stopped for a quick bite here. I never say no to Mexican. Cute little restaurant, clean, good amount of seating. Service was quick. We ordered at the counter, grabbed a table and didn't wait too long for our food. I got the Combo plate (Enchiladas, Cheese). The plate came with two enchiladas (choice of sauce), beans, and rice. I got one green sauce and one red sauce. The enchis were good, but not the best. Rice was okay. Beans were good. My sister got the Tacos Maya and my friend got the La Tequila Enchiladas. I think they both enjoyed their plate for the most part... but, again, could've been better. The presentation of the food was great though. Didn't leave completely satisfied but I also didn't hate it. Not a bad stop for a quick, decent bite.

Stopped into the Tequila yesterday for lunch. Not only was the service amazing and friendly but the food is absolutely delicious. I had the asada wet burrito and my wife had the chicken tacos. Definitely recommend!

Amazing mile enchiladas ! And the salsas were really authentic and taste like my grandmas home cooking service was amazing and friendly

Visiting Solvang we saw this restaurant. Nice little patio area to enjoy the fresh air. Service was awesome and friendly. Enjoyed our refreshments and stayed a while. Chips and salsa, entrees were great. On the outskirts of the main touristy spots. A cool little stop I would return to.

Colorful pictures brighten the place up.

Super clean, service was excellent and a friendly waiter ! My husband had the wet burrito not a bite left. I had the pork verde was the best ever and enough for dinner. The corn tortillas were made in house when I ordered and the salsa bar has something for all tastes. The have beer, wine and fresh tea! Will definitely be back.

Either that or I got the wrong staff on a Thursday afternoon. My order: 1ea of a fish and shrimp taco, chips and guacamole, model especial. The Good: nothing beats a cold modelo after a round of golf at Zaca Creek GC with family. I got a variety of their salsas from the salsa bar and they were all very good. The Bad: everything else. The breaded fish and shrimp were just that, breading. Whatever was inside perpetrating sea food was nonexistent and fried to oblivion. I didn't finish either. The Ugly: chips and guacamole were a complete disaster. The texture was loose, liquidy, and bland. It was most likely store bought. The chips were the worst thing I ate, and that's saying something. There were 2 types in the basket; stale and ridiculously stale. I believe that they reuse chips as the lighter of the two looked and tasted like they had been out for a couple of days while the darker ones were made maybe a day before. I don't complain in the moment as the last thing I want is a remade version of that garbage made by an angry cook. However, while walking the meal back inside to put it where it belonged, the employee asked if I had an issue with the chips. I told her they were extremely stale and got an apology. Good enough earning the 1-star. Overall: now that I'm writing this, we were one of the first customers of the day and maybe they weren't ready and cut corners to get caught up. Not excusing it but trying to find anything redeeming about the experience. Safe to say that I will only go back for the modelo.

After looking through photos and reviews, I decided to give Burrito Lalo a try. It was only about 1.4 miles away, right off McMurray. I ordered the menudo to-go and decided to go without "pata" (pig's feet), along with a bottled Coke. My order was ready in about 5 minutes, which was impressive. The young lady who helped me was friendly and packed everything nicely in a cardboard box, including all the fixings and a bag of chips. I have to admit, the menudo was very good! The broth tasted clean, flavorful, and delicious. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I would have preferred a little more hominy to balance everything out. There were also plenty of large chunks of tripe. Depending on how you like your menudo, that could be a positive or negative. Personally, I prefer my tripe cut into smaller pieces. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Burrito Lalo to anyone looking for a good bowl of menudo in Buellton. My only advice is to make sure you tell them exactly how you like your menudo, especially the size and amount of tripe and hominy. That part was my mistake for not asking. Either way, the menudo was delicious, and I would definitely give Burrito Lalo another try the next time I'm in the area!

It was a beautiful, hot and sunny day, so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We ordered the shrimp taco plate, chicken taco salad, classic burrito, and some additional shrimp tacos that unfortunately didn't make it into the pictures. We were welcomed with fresh chips and had the opportunity to try as many salads as we wanted from the salsa bar. I also enjoyed a nice, cold Corona while we waited for our food, which was perfect on such a warm day. When our food arrived, everything was fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. Everyone in my family enjoyed their meals, and there were absolutely no complaints. We were all full and satisfied when we finished, but instead of rushing out, we simply sat around and enjoyed the moment together. That's what makes a family meal even better. Our server, Ms. Gutierrez, provided excellent service. She was friendly, attentive, and consistently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was very busy, but the service remained great. The restaurant was also clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. And the prices were very reasonable! Our bill for four people, including food and drinks, came in at under $85, which I thought was a great value. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Rudy's. The food took a little while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and full of authentic Mexican flavor. You can tell care went into the dishes. The only thing to keep in mind is the portion size it's a bit small for a Latin restaurant, especially at around $20 per plate. Still, the quality makes up for it. Customer service was okay. It didn't have a public restroom. I decided to give it a chance. I'm really not sure what made this location a five star win. I ordered two jalapeno and cheese pupusas. I thought it was quite generous yet somewhat deceitful of the establishment to add 2 single papusas with a plate of rice and beans with the cabbage like sauce that's provided to go along with the papusas. I also ordered a chicken burrito along with the sparkling water. Through my reviews, it's obvious that mexican food is my go to dish. So I'm being quite fair when I say, it's a three star rating for me. The food alone came up to $29.90 and a sparkling water cost me $3.81. So from the total, I figured the food must be pretty good. However, the food was quite salty. The pupusas appeared to be prepared in a very sloppy way. I'm assuming those who dine in recieve better treatment according to the pictures featured in the reviews of others. Also I never experienced a freshly cooked burrito that's wrapped up in foil become soggy within minutes. Most Spanish restaurants ask you what you want on your burrito and if there is anything you don't want. I didn't get this treatment from this particular location and the burrito became soggy even faster because they put guacamole in it. I ended up throwing it away. That was a total waste of $30.

The vegetable tostada was loaded with grilled vegetables and the freshly-made tortillas were incredible! My friend and I swapped a taco from each of our plates, so I was able to try their tacos al pastor and tacos del mar with halibut.
