This cakes slices used to be double this size. Now they're half the portion and $7

I always try to keep my money local and don't get me wrong I love their cakes. But today it's the first time I was really disappointed. The slices used to be about $6 if I'm not wrong , now they're $7 but the portion was split in 2 so realistically I'm getting half of what I used to , for more money. From now on I guess I'll have to look for another place where I can get my cakes. This portion is ridiculous, also the tres leches I bough my son had no leche. Go figure

Walk straight from the entrance to order under the overhead menu before sitting at a table. A large horchata is two sweet servings in a glass. I ordered a chimichanga last time, but we had huevos rancheros and machaca chilaquiles rojo for late brunch. It looked better with them on, but they unexpectedly turned off most of the lights in the afternoon because it was daytime. Many people were picking up cakes for Father's Day this weekend.

The machaca breakfast burrito is amazing! Fast, courteous service, delicious food. Worth a stop.

The food is delicious. It has really good flavor.. highly recommend the bacon breakfast burrito. Also the torta Cubana.. you get what you pay for an it's worth every it. I would say over all the prices are really reasonable. The Champurrado has a really good flavor, I just wish it was a little warmer.. The service was wonderful, we were treated and sat immediately.. when we got here there wasn't that many people but slowly it started to get busy still the ambiance was great.. highly recommend this place.. we will be back

We ordered ahead for pickup and got the cactus and eggs torta with everything, and the torta cubana with everything. Cactus and eggs torta: It was a bit spicy from the jalapenos. It was creamy and mild overall in flavor. I do wish it was a little more strongly flavored (not just by the jalapenos) but otherwise it was decent. Torta cubana: It was also a bit spicy from jalapeno, and was definitely quite a bit saltier than the cactus and eggs one, probably because of the meat. Overall, both were good and I appreciate the amount of options on the menu.

La Tortuga is a local favorite serving Oaxacan style food. They also have some dessert items to go also. I loved the Oaxaca Flauta Plate. My friend got the beef flautas and I got the chicken flautas. Nice large portion with black bean sauce, rice and salad. Service is excellent. We also ordered 2 shrimp tacos that had grilled peppers. Everything tasted great.

Definitely recommend this authentic Mexican/ Oaxacan restaurant! This was our first time and we will definitely be returning.

Just almost perfect .. If you don't read any more, I highly recommend and we will certainly return. If you read a little more, the 1 star drop is the fact my lunch came way after my wife's of which I asked her to start and she was 3/4 way through by the time mine arrived. .......ok... I had La Tortuga on the bucket list along with a couple more Mexicans in the Seaside area. I suggested to my wife we should go out for lunch and try La Tortuga. Parking is easy, restaurant is canteen style with plenty of seating. Menu was a little overwhelming at first glance as it's split between two walls with some being text and some being pictures... the staff were super helpful and very accommodating leading us to a shrimp ceviche style dish and a chorizo sandwich. My wife's came out first (Ceviche) which is totally understandable, it tasted fresh and put a smile on her face which is all I could really ask for. My sandwich arrived a little later which was almost the size of a small planet .. a total monster ... It was really interesting, the bread was so light it was hard to discern it was actually bread with a lovely background kick from the Chorizo. I managed to get half way through before throwing in the towel and taking the 2nd half to-go. We both washed the food down with Horchata which again was on point. All in all it was a great suggestion, it might not make it to the top of my list but judging by how packed it got I suspect a couple more visits and different options and I might very well change my mind. Thank you La Tortuga... great job and you were all so so nice we want to come back !

Stopping by Seaside for our favorite El Molcajete Oaxaqueno dish! It is still the best although the bean gravy taste has changed slightly. I like the new version but the old version is definitely better!

Really disappointing experience. I ordered a dish that included nopales, which wasn't mentioned in the description. I politely let the staff know I didn't like it and that I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known--but I was completely ignored. The girl at the front even rolled her eyes at me, which was honestly shocking. Poor communication and even worse customer service. Definitely won't be coming back.

This place is so authentic. Out of all the places me and my girlfriend ate out here, this place is the best. The food has so much flavor and the dishes they offer are as real as it gets. Please do yourself a favor and give it a try. Will come back if I'm ever in town. The ladies running this place are so nice and sweet.

Check-in was easy and prompt. It was quite busy for a Friday check-in but there were 5-6 workers checking people in so it went pretty fast. They were providing water bottles to those who were waiting, and also let people know that there were s'more kits to use at the outside fireplace facing the golf course. You may have to drive to where your room is as there are various buildings in the hotel, so perhaps wait to get your luggage out of your car until after check-in. There looked to be quite a few kids at the property as well as they had some ping pong tables and life size chess available near the main building. The room itself was really spacious and clean. Nothing was really wrong in the room. Perhaps the AC wasn't the best (maybe we were using it wrong), but there is a fan right above the bed which was VERY cool/strong once turned on. WiFi was a bit spotty throughout the stay. TV in the room had Google cast which was nice.

We had the option of indoor or outdoor dining. Based on previous yelp photos I decided to try the Cappuccino and I am glad I did. Made with LavAzza coffee I felt like I was in Italy again. The meat was in cubes with veggies & a white sauce. Given that information, it had no flavor. The sauce was watery & barely added anything to the dish. On multiple occasions, they checked on other groups around us, but not us. This was slightly upsetting as we felt invisible. -Overall: This place was just average. Nothing was particularly stand out about the food & the staff wasn't attentive during our visit. We were hopeful as it had great reviews.

The Experience & Service: There was some noticeable confusion when our meals were served. A food runner brought out my husband's plate first, then turned to me and asked if I had ordered anything. When I told her I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, she asked if our server had mentioned they were out of it and if I had picked a replacement. He hadn't told me anything of the sort. A few minutes later, our server came by to reassure me my food would be out shortly, bringing a small bowl of fruit to tide me over. My plate did eventually arrive, but the miscommunication up front was a bit awkward. The Food: Crab Cake Benedict: Unfortunately, the dish was just okay. The crab cake itself tasted like a pre-breaded, frozen patty rather than freshly made. Smothered under the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, it was fine, but nothing special. Omelet & Home Fries: My husband really enjoyed his omelet. However, his side of home fries was a letdown--they weren't cooked through properly and had an off-taste of old fryer oil. Final Verdict: The staff is nice and trying hard during a busy rush, but given the service hiccups and average food execution, I'm not sure we would return if we're in the area again.
