Came here before hitting Monterey Bay Aquarium. Wait time on a Saturday morning was from 30min to an hour. The food here is really good. Love the pancakes is probably one of the best dishes they have. The rice as well is good wish they would just add more veggies, and it would be a solid 10/10. However, good flavor overall, and good service.

Make sure and join the waitlist online. Super convenient. We were 22nd in line and seated within 30 minutes. Service is friendly and helpful in decision making. Food did not disappoint! Large seating area. Clean! Didn't leave smelling like "breakfast".

The shipping and grits were delicious and I loved that they have a wide variety of mimosa flavors during brunch. I had the peach bellini and my friend had the lavendar mimosa which were very good. The service was great also.

The menu had a lot of choices with some Filipino influence items. I had the pork belly fried rice recommended by the server as their favorite and it was very good. I also ordered a short stack of pancakes, which was plenty since the pancakes are very large they use real butter, which is a plus and faithfully lives up to the name.

We really enjoyed our breakfast at The Butter House. Cozy ambiance and the staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu offers a great blend of classic American breakfast with a Filipino twist. Also loved the butter theme because who doesn't love butter. They have cute stickers and apparel. "You're my butter half" stickers are too cute. I had the breakfast burrito- I'm vegetarian, and they were so thoughtful to swap in avocado and mushrooms instead of meat, absolutely delicious! The breakfast potatoes hit the spot. My friend had the pork belly fried rice and loved it. A satisfying meal to fuel a day of exploring Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey Bay. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

10/10 recommend this spot! We went there for breakfast, and every meal was AMAZING. My favorites were the asada fried rice and fried chicken Benedict.

Stopped by The Butter House in Monterey for brunch and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The place was busy, which is always a good sign, but service never felt overwhelmed. Staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly. Here's what we ordered: California Benedict Rich and satisfying with perfectly poached eggs, creamy avocado, crispy bacon, and a well balanced hollandaise. The side potatoes were seasoned well and had a great crisp. Corned Beef Reuben Golden and crispy on the outside with tender corned beef inside. The ratio of meat to sauerkraut to sauce was on point, and it paired perfectly with the side of soup. Waffle Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. A classic done well. We also had two mimosas, blueberry and peach. Both were refreshing and not overly sweet, which made them easy to enjoy alongside the meal. Overall, The Butter House delivers on quality and consistency. It feels like a reliable Monterey brunch spot where the portions are generous, the flavors are solid, and the ambiance makes you want to come back.

Adobo pork belly was perfectly "adobo-y" salty, sour, and crispy. It was served as a large piece, I had assumed it would come cubed in the fried rice, but was a good portion size. Chicken and waffles were tasty. They fry the chicken thigh so it stays nice and juicy. The gravy wasn't my favorite, but everyone has a preference on their breakfast gravy, I'd prefer more salt and heavier on the pepper. Lumpia was alright, assuming it was deep fried because it was soaked in oil. Ground beef and bean sprouts, so a fairly traditional mix, not the skinny Shanghai ones. We will all say our Lola's is better, but it wasn't bad. Looking forward to trying the lemon curd pancakes and traditional Filipino breakfast the folks next to us had. We will definitely be back. Fun menu and staff were great, love the online check in system, makes the long wait easy to plan around.

I definitely recommend getting your breakfast at The Butter House. Despite being fully occupied with customers, our food was ready in 10 minutes. Both of the fried rice were balanced in flavor! The carne asada was full of flavor, and the sauce on the side added to the whole dish. I left the restaurant fed and satisfied. It was a good meal to start our day.

Holy moly AMAZING food, excellent service, Butter House is my new go-to in the area! If you are looking for some delicious breakfast/brunch food with Filipino flair, THIS IS IT! We had the Filipino Breakfast (spam, longganisa, eggs, and rice) and I upgraded to fried rice. There is something insanely comforting about fluffy eggs, salty sweet sausage, crispy spam, and chewy fluffy fried rice. It's a fantastic way to start the day. The loco moco was also excellent! The meat patty was really big and the gravy was rich and flavorful without feeling greasy or heavy. You can choose from a variety of gravies (if I remember correctly: onion, chorizo, mushroom). The server was so sweet and attentive. They even noticed when we went to the restroom and saved our food for when we returned so it could come out piping hot. Now THAT is a testament to how much they care about the quality. I was texting all my friends from the restaurant that they needed to come here. I know I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Good size restaurant with a coffee shop vibe, Lunpia is a must, great variety of breakfast items that crush flavor. Staff is always welcoming, friendly and accommodating to even large parties, our folf group has made this a lock go to every year. This trip I tried the Banana Chocolate Chip French Toast and heavy on flavor, but surprisingly not a heavy meal. Other awesome items are Lemon Curd Pancakes and Pork Belly Fried Rice.

The Butter House is absolutely one of the best breakfast and brunch experiences in the greater Monterey area! While technically in Seaside, it's worth the short drive from Monterey proper for truly exceptional food and service. From the moment we walked in, the experience was five-star. The service was incredibly friendly, prompt, and attentive--even when the place was packed (which it usually is!). Our server was great about offering recommendations and kept our coffee cups filled without us ever having to flag them down. Good service is so crucial, and The Butter House truly nails it. Equally impressive is the menu selection. They offer a fantastic blend of American breakfast classics and unique Filipino-inspired dishes, giving you so many delicious options! Whether you're craving traditional eggs benedict, a hearty breakfast burrito, or something more adventurous like the Pork Belly Fried Rice or their amazing Lumpia, there is something to satisfy every craving. It's truly a destination for a delicious and varied meal. Just get here early or check in on Yelp to avoid a long wait--it's popular for a reason! An easy five stars.

For lunch, I went with their Big Sur pizza on gluten free crust. The crust was impressive. Not my favorite I've ever had but still a really good job. The pizza was vegan with fried oyster mushrooms, baked white mushrooms, various veggies, and a red sauce with white sauce drizzle. Pizza was great. Really sold me on coming back the next day. As for brunch, they did not have the GF biscuits. The gravy was still vegan and they offered to serve it on GF focaccia bread. However, at $22, I couldn't do it. When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Monterey area and you want to treat yourself to some upper echelon breakfast burritos-do yourself a favor and stop at 3 Mundos sandwich shop-a top tier food experience awaits.
