I really want to like this place, but they make it challenging. We were really excited about their "Free Dinner Friday" offer - purchase $20 in drinks (easy!) and get two free pasta dishes. We were promised Cacio e Pepe (my FAVE!), but that was no Cacio e Pepe. It was good. It was a perfectly fine alfredo sauce, but it wasn't what I was excited to have for dinner that night. I would have easily overlooked this, though, if we'd had a server who was hard to track down and the dinner didn't take 45 minutes to come out to us (and honestly, she didn't know what the free dinner offering was for the night). We did order an appetizer (the artichoke dip - and it was super yummy), so I get that our dinner was being timed to come out after that, but I think we waited quite a bit longer than 20 minutes *after* we were done with our appetizer to get our dinners. And we were the second table to arrive for dinner service, so it's not like we caught them during the dinner rush. It was kind of a bummer. This was my second time there. I recall not particularly loving my first experience when it was still the Rusty Grape. I might give it a third (and final) try, but I'm on the fence. We'll see. read more

I went here for my birthday and I love the ambiance inside! Super cute! Most everything they make is in the wood fired oven and their food tastes fantastic!! The pizza tastes like it's straight from Italy (I actually don't want to eat pizza from anywhere else) and their bacon wrapped jalapeños are also delicious. The stuffed mushrooms are good, however, very small and not that many for the price (quite expensive!). The mock tails and drinks are also super good! The owner is a great guy and I got to chat with him a little bit. They now have a food truck at the BG food cart pod, secret happy hour days and outdoor movie nights in the summer! We attended a murder mystery event at La Uva Fortuna last night, the roaring 20's a Great Gatsby's murder mystery dinner. From the arrival at the door, the ambient period decor transported us back in time. The dancing flappers were a big hit. The food, headlined by Chicken Oscar, was to die for along with the tasty sides and some amazing drinks including a signature cocktail. Prizes awarded very were generous. This is truly a hidden gem. The ambiance is very low key and casual but the food is far from it. Everything I have tried here has had me in awe. The owners are first rate folks and go out of their way to make you welcome and feel like friends. I was part of a group that held an event here and it was our best event yet hands down. Be advised!!! So much to say about a couple bad experiences but it would take forever. JUST DON'T GO!!! Our last visit was atrocious. Extremely poor service. Caesar salad was a joke! Iceberg lettuce. The added shrimp was cold and tiny. I was expecting for this venue for it to be grilled or seasoned in someway. They didn't get our order right. One of the group of eight of us, waited and waited for her meal which they forgot about, then when reminded, they messed it up again. The rest of us were waiting to eat our meal, as we didn't feel right about her sitting with nothing. A couple of the groups meals were poor at best. Talked with the manager on that day who I found out was the owners son, he was horrible. When the forgotten meal finally came, HE threw it down on the table (a HOT iron skillet!!) I could go on and on about the specific experience.... Not even mentioning our last, but wanting to give them another try. I then called and spoke with the owner. He gave me what I call excuses followed with an apology and that he'd send out a dining gift to another establishment. Never heard back from him and didn't follow through with what he offered. Not that I was expecting something. I just needed him to know what was happening at his restaurant while he was touring the countryside. I've read over the last month or two of unhappy patrons. Also that the staff are not being paid. So, my humble advice is to go enjoy a meal out at a place that has their "ish" together and appreciates their staff and customers, as well as providing quality food. It's expensive dining out. We went to there on Saturday night. And we ordered chicken wings, roasted pepper cream pasta and cheesy bread. Unfortunately portobello mushroom ravioli were out. Foods were all great! (I forgot to take a pic !!! ) Definitely You have to try those. However they were packed and only 2 -3 waitresses who were overwhelmed and panicked. We had to wait at least 20min to have a bottle of wine and 45min to have some appetizers. Waitress's atmosphere and hospitality were great. It's just they are shorthand' 3.5Stars for now but we'll definitely go back and try again! read more

We visited on a Friday evening in March. Not super busy. Very intimate atmosphere with indoor dining and folk musician. Friendly and attentive staff. We ordered the Carnivoro meat lovers pizza with salads. Thin crust oven fired pizza and fresh salads were excellent. A $10 wine flight helped us narrow down our wine selection. La Uva Fortuna is under new ownership and I was hopeful to give them a try. I wanted this restaurant to be a success, but tonight's meal was one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant, and yet the service was inattentive and poor. The Negroni was fair, the wine was underwhelming. The food was slow coming out and badly cooked. The produce was mealy and cheep, the pizza dough was undercooked, the chicken was dry and overcooked, the alfredo tasted like it came from a jar, and the fettuccine noodles were broken before cooked. I was embarrassed for the cook and the restaurant. Even though we were the only customers, the service was so slow our check wasn't served to us until an hour forty five minutes after we were seated. I don't want to cost this restaurant business. I want this review to encourage them to reevaluate their practices and menu and to work to get better. Very disappointing. read more

Poor service, average food, rude server. The food takes at least 40 minutes to arrive and water is never refilled in a timely manner. Wood fired pizza is average but the rest of the food is bland. I went here with expectations of wood oven pizza and wine. Waiting over an hour for our food it came out with a huge dissatisfaction. We ordered the cheese pasta since the chicken Alfredo was out. That dish looked good when it came out with nice melted cheese topped bowl; however underneath, it left much to be desired as it seemed undercooked since it was watery instead of sauced. I specifically ordered the pear goat cheese pizza, it came out very over done... I have never seen goat cheese brown before. I left with jaw pain from the hardest pizza I've ever had. Our final item that arrived was the chicken pizza which was apparently the reason the order took so long to come out. This was because the chicken needed to be cooked from scratch, I'm not sure how that takes an hour and a half but this pizza came out as I wish the other did. It was the only good food aspect of the meal but it came after everything else. During our over hour wait for our food we weren't even offered any extra bread or anything. The bread was five small slices, for five people, with an olive oil and balsamic mix for dipping. To be fair we did also get the bacon wrapped dates, 5 of them came out, small but fine for an appetizer, which came out fairly quickly. Following that came the over hour wait for any other food and an apology for it taking so long but no offer of anything while waiting. Tried to take my future in-laws for a lunch and it was just a huge fail on my end. The bill was over $100 and completely not worth it as we hit up burgerville since the food was unsatisfactory. read more

Felt like a bit of Italy hidden in the Battle Ground hills. (Former Rusty Grape venue.) The restaurant is just recovering from COVID, and they were a start up just beginning when COVID hit. They work hard to remember their customers. The ambiance is great--you have your choice of quiet indoor & somewhat isolated, social with entertainment, and outdoor as nature allows. who doesn't live italian? It's a big deal when the staff eats there too! there is also a Gluten free pizza option. they serve hard alcohol, wine & beer. NO Bad days IPA! read more

I want to start by saying the only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the staff is friendly. My husband and I dined here to celebrate our 12-year anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely outdoor dining area. After we were seated a family came in with their dog. Another family also had a dog and the dogs started barking at each other. It was frustrating to have a nice environment interrupted by dogs barking. I ordered a glass of wine and was surprised by the amount. Honestly, I thought they were bringing me a sample before pouring me a whole glass. I maybe got 3 oz. For $10 I expect more wine than that. I should have ordered the whole bottle. I ordered the lobster lasagna for $20 and was also surprised when there were only 3 ravioli on my plate. I cut into it and found a thick hair inside one of them. I sent it back and they brought me a new one. It was delicious! I have no complaints about the flavor, only the quantity. My husband and I each ordered a drink, he ordered the Caesar salad, and I got my 3 ravioli for a grand total of $65 before the tip. I was still hungry when we left. I don't know if it's food-related or not, but it's worth saying that I threw up later that night. This restaurant was a huge disappointment and I don't recommend it. By far the worst experience last evening. Our 5 yr old granddaughter chose this location to celebrate her last soccer game of the season. We arrived at 5:25 pm. There were two small groups of patrons there when we arrived. One in the tent, the other outside. Ours 5 adults and 1 child. When being seated, we were asked if we wanted seltzer or flat water. We asked for both. It took 20 mins (5:45) before we had our order taken. We ordered 2 cocktails (one of which was a special on the menu, they didn't have the ingredients to make it so asked if they could make something similar, no discount) and 2 glasses of wine, 5 side salads and 4 pizza's. Our drinks arrived at 6:10, 2 of the 4 pizza's at 6:15, 3rd at 6:30, 4th pizza at 6:40 and salads pretty sure we wouldn't have gotten had we not reminded them 3 times, then only 3 salads came out. Everyone was done eating and drinking before the last 2 salads came out. When we got the bill we were charged $7.50 for the Seltzer water. No one told us it was an up sell for the Seltzer water. The restrooms were trashed. Another patron when checking out said they may never be back. This used to be one of our favorite family places to go. Something has definitely gone wrong here. On a Saturday evening, we used to have to wait to find a seat. This is the 2nd time we've "gave another chance" because the last time there were issues as well. But this was the worst. When the owner isn't there, it's a horrible experience. We were discussing only calling in to go orders from here on out, but a to go order hadn't even been started when the patron came to pick it up. read more
