The prime rib was for my birthday dinner so my husband left his phone number with them. He received a call later that day asking if the prime rib should be fresh or frozen. They wanted to make sure it did not get frozen if it was being used right away. He advised fresh and commented at what good customer service it was to make the distinction. We went together for pick up. The person who helped us when through the entire smoker bundle to show us the contents and then got the rib roast. Everything was well packaged and arranged. Even though it was the Friday before a religious holiday, and many folks were picking things up, it did not take long for us to get our order, pay and be on our way. The meats we have received both on this order and in the past have always been high quality. Edwards is an excellent butcher shop.

This time we grabbed chicken legs, cheese, summer sausage, olives in addition to our top sirloin and ground beef. So we're excited and hope the new items carry the same quality. We figure they would be given most the cheese selections are from Wisconsin. As an original Wisconsinite, I beyond approve! The staff behind the deli is on top of their game. When busy, they have a ticket system and you're barely waiting long. Everyone behind the meat counter is ready to help. Space is a little tight to maneuver but very manageable. The best part is coming to the seafood section and not smelling the coast. They keep the space very tidy and clean. This is officially my new meat market for sure!

The ribs were meaty, tender, juicy, and NOT overcooked. They had an aromatic smoky flavor too! There were at least 5 BBQ sauces to choose from, I liked the Sweet and Spicey myself. If you want Texas style BBQ Ribs you can't go wrong at Brad's Pit BBQ. Of course, they offer brisket, sausages, pulled pork and more. I had two sides w/my meal, the BBQ beans were delicious, coleslaw was okay. BTW Brad's is next door to Locavore Beer Works so if you don't want to take your BBQ home you can go next door, order any of a multitude of craft beers and they will deliver your food to your table. I liked the Mexican Lager. Great service, great staff and great food and drink! One can't go wrong at either of these businesses.

It was so shocking and so rude. I thought the person was joking. I said you're joking right and she goes, "No, I'm not joking! We're closed! " Even though the doors were wide open, I guess they were open for employees coming in. I was ready to spend several hundred dollars, but instead I walked to my car and placed an online order from Snake River Farms. I got $25 off and two day delivery so I'm thrilled. It might be a while until I go back to Tonys. It's OK that the store was closed. I just wish the employee had used better tact.

As such, you get great cuts of meat, house-made sausages, bacon, pre-made meals, and roasts, etc. This fish selection is strong, and they have an excellent deli. That said, given they are a small independent shop, you will pay more for some staples, and you will pay more for higher quality items; you won't have the same selection of produce as a 60,000 sqft grocery chain. All of this, though, is fairly obvious when you walk in. Tony's is focused on quality over quantity.

We decided to stop by and most people were ordering very large orders for takeout, but they have a good number of tables both inside and outside. The food takes a while to come, but that just means that it is all freshly prepared, and the staff are so nice and even give free samples. I went with the Kids meal brisket with the Potato salad and added a Sweet potato with the candied pecan butter. I seriously have no words -- all of these things were so delicious, and the amount of meat that you get even with the kids meal is more than enough to fill me up, especially with the rich sweet potato and potato salad on the side. The brisket and pork were both dry and had no smoke flavor. The rib was so small (an end piece) that they gave me 2; they were both overcooked and had very little meat on them. The sides were the only good part of this meal, but sides do not great barbecue make, hence the 2 stars. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pitmaster visited our table and took our criticism with good grace, even offering to replace our food to see if they could do better, but I was done. I won't be returning.

After we were seated in a booth, we waited about 15 minutes without any acknowledgment from a server. Eventually, I had to get up and go find the hostess to let her know we hadn't been helped yet. When the waitress finally came over, there wasn't even an apology for the wait, which really set the tone for the rest of the visit. To make matters worse, I realized after getting home that I had been overcharged for a drink. Sigh. So frustrated. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it at the time, but it added to the frustration of the overall experience. It's frustrating to see such a decline from a place we used to really enjoy.
