I've tried everything from sushi and soups to tacos, seafood specialties, and more, and every meal has been excellent. They also have a fantastic happy hour, plus an "Hour Before Happy Hour" that's definitely worth checking out. I have always had delicious food here and did so this last time. Great Happy Hour specials. Service good. We 3 were there on 8/31 at 5. Service was good, however, once we were very close to being finished, she came up with our bill. Gave 20% tip. We weren't offered anything else. At the time we didn't want anything else but being offered would have been nice. We stayed ONE hour AFTER paying our check. (Yes, we looked around and saw our table wasn't needed. Plenty of open tables. We were once Servers, we "get it." ) We sat with 5 empty and dirty dishes for almost an hour along with 5 empty cocktail glasses. VERY surprised as our server (and buser) walked by a few times in that hour and NEVER grabbed a dish or offered water refills or perhaps even another drink. We felt like, she got the tip, she's done. This used to be our favorite restaurant as a family in Littleton, which makes this experience even more disappointing and visit a few times a month. After we were seated in a booth, we waited about 15 minutes without any acknowledgment from a server. Eventually, I had to get up and go find the hostess to let her know we hadn't been helped yet. When the waitress finally came over, there wasn't even an apology for the wait, which really set the tone for the rest of the visit. To make matters worse, I realized after getting home that I had been overcharged for a drink. Sigh. So frustrated. The food is good when made correctly, but they have chefs that don't care about ingredients and how to substitute or anything in that manor. If you like food plain like me do not go here as they will mess up your order 9x out of 10x. I've been going to the Chandler, AZ location regularly for years, so naturally I had to stop here. Didn't disappoint! Great apps, sushi, sandwiches and salads-- but I'm there for sushi! Service was great -- from being greeted and sat quickly, to friendly staff checking in on us, and not to mention the A+ drinks. I love seeing by the window to people watch, but any seat has a good vibe. My faves are the mango tango roll, key lime calamari and firecracker shrimp (it might be called something different). We were seated quickly. Then it was forever before a server showed up. We ordered wine. Again it took forever. We ordered entrees. Again it took forever. I should note that the restaurant was only about half full of patrons. I ordered fish and chips. When it finally arrived it was 2 small filets, about the size of a couple of fish sticks and mediocre flavor. It was accompanied by a large bowl of bland coleslaw. At this point some of the silverware had to be sent back because they were dirty. My wife had shrimp. It was so spicy it left a burning sensation in her mouth. We will not return. read more

Scouted this place for a week for a 15 yr anniversary lunch in my hometown and boy did it not disappoint. Got here right after it opened with a parking spot right in front. The hostess greeted us promptly an seated us with basically the whole place to ourselves, we startee out with the lobster stuffed avocado! Wow! The presentation y'all! Dag gum so good! I've dined at Smokin Fins at least several times in the past and I must say that this restaurant has never disappointed me in any way. To be frank, it's a bit understated or under-appreciated as a chain restaurant. Definitely overshadowed by other seafood restaurants that may not be so great. When you think of sushi, I'm pretty sure nobody will say, "Let's go get sushi at Smokin Fins!" This place is not necessarily known as anybody's go-to place for that specific dish/cuisine. And yet, they do serve DECENT sushi (or raw fish.) My daughter and I had a late night dinner just last night at this Littleton location and we ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Carne Asada Taco. And both of them entertained our palates to say the least. There was a little mistake made though which I can relate. Since my daughter has been doing a lot of gluten free diet, she asked for corn tortillas for the Carne Asada tacos (which our wonderful waitress, Kassie acknowledged.) When she brought the plate though the tacos were in the flour tortillas. We didn't realize it right away so after 5 minutes or so we finally told Kassie that. She sincerely and professionally apologized for the mistake and had the kitchen remake the whole thing. Since it was past 8pm on a Sunday, they were able to remake it pretty quickly as we were the last several tables in the whole place for the night. Thanks for righting the wrong! And they did so professionally! We sat in a comfortable booth table. On the wall to my right, there was Beer on Tap menu. Next time, I'll get me a nice draft beer ( Bristol Honey Wheat sounds good!) This is a great location in downtown Littleton. But, for whatever reason we overlook it, and we shouldn't! There is a big circle bar, lots of large booths, and many high tops for large groups. The menu spans quite a bit, from both sweet and savory brunch, to sushi, so traditional Americana. Visited this restaurant for the first time this week. Was joining a large group of friends for dinner before heading down the street for a show. Called ahead to warn them that I would need extra assistance because I was blind and had menus questions. Met one of the managers when I arrived, who seemed very friendly and helpful, and gave me a few options when I'd aid I was hesitant about knowing what to order, since some of the prices were very high... I was particularly interested in the lobster mac and cheese, but it was priced at about $30 for a full entree, and I was told a side was "only one or two little scoops," so not much for a meal. When the manager offered to help me on pricing, I eventually decided to give it a try... but it took about 45 minutes from the time I arrived just for me to order my food, which seemed a little excessive since I knew what I wanted well before this. Food ended up being pretty good, thankfully it was served in a dish that wasn't hot (I've been brined by hot plates at restraints before, and this was served in an actual skillet), and I did enjoy the taste of it... but I did not value it at $30 for just the single portion. My drink was also taken away from me when my food arrived, which was a little irritating, but I never got the chance to ask about it since no one came to check on that for me. When it was time for us to head out and pay, I had overheard from the other group members that they were limited in splitting the checks... and when I asked about this and tried to see if they could make an exception for me, since I only had a card and wasn't sure exactly how much I was going to pay, I was told they would "figure it out." However, no one ever returned to tell me my amount, take my payment, or even give me a receipt, and I left not knowing who paid for my food or how it was figured out... so now I'm under the assumption that I have to get $40 cash to someone that doesn't have digital banking options, when I rarely see them or don't have their contact info. Overall, I'm not happy with how they handled this situation, since it seemed like I was basically ignored once the rest of my group showed up, even though I explicitly asked for extra help, and did everything to tell them that I was blind and they said they had previous experience with blind patrons before. I'm also not happy with the high price for the service I paid, since I could have ordered something much more affordable if I knew it was going to be this disorganized... and it makes me really upset that my needs weren't being met properly and I was being ushered out of the restraint before I got the chance to ask any questions. I'm likely not coming back here, since there are at least a few other places in the area where I've had much better experiences, and the value for the money I paid would be much more worth it if I chose to dine elsewhere. This is also a bit far away from me, since I live in Lakewood and am much lower to the Arvada location anyways, but after this experience I likely won't be trying them anytime soon either for fear of a repeat incident. Overall thoughts: food is good but overpriced, service seems good but is strongly lacking, and accessibility is NOT very strong at all. Would not recommend. read more

Super cute inside. Downtown Littleton has grown so much! The appetizers that we had were better than our main entrees. We started with the brussels sprouts/cauliflower and two sushi rolls. We split the paella which was okay. The rice was different from typical paella and not the best I've had. The seafood and sausage within the paella was pretty good. My husband and brother in-law had the burger, fries, and carne asada tacos. The fries were not very crispy and they said the burger/tacos were average. The cocktails were great! Smokin fins had a mixture of really high points but also some low points leaving us with mixed feelings. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5 for average in terms of my expectations. We started off the night really strong - the location in in downtown Littleton and the storefront and the interior are both really pretty. The bathrooms are well kept and clean, my only note was that the booths were pretty tight, the tables almost seem too large for the space. But overall the ambiance is pretty good. We started off with a unicorn roll (ebi, yellowtail, salmon and a crab and lobster mix with jicama inside). The roll was AMAZING I was actually really really impressed with their sushi. For $20, the roll did not disappoint and in the future I would highly recommend coming in JUST for the sushi. We also ordered a cauliflower and Brussels sprout entree and it was lemony and delicious. The appetizers we had were a perfect 5/5 and we were so looking forward to dinner. Two at our table ordered burgers and fries, two ordered tacos (one shrimp one mahi mahi) and I couldn't decide so I asked the server what she recommended to which she said her favorite dish was the lobster Mac and cheese. The food came, and unfortunately there was a LOT of room for improvement. The rice served with both sets of tacos was watery, mushy, and the only discernible flavor was lime juice. The tacos themselves looked great, but we're completely flavorless. The burger and chicken sandwich were just okay, the fries surprisingly were the star of the plate. They are tossed in some sort of crushed BBQ chip seasoning which was great on them. However, our server brought my boyfriend the wrong entree and he got the chicken sandwich instead of the hot chicken entree, and the mashed potato side that was requested with the tacos was also missed. My Mac and cheese came out and was very subpar. The sauce itself was creamy but bland and the lobster was really overdone and bordering on fishy. Very rubbery texture. The sauce needed a sharper cheese and there was cream but really no flavor. I was really disappointed considering this was the entree the server recommended, I wish I had just stuck with some sushi. The dessert was good! We ordered a bread pudding (comes with a bourbon sauce and chocolate chips inside which felt a bit strange but was actually really good) and we ended up ordering a second one for the table. Delicious and well done. Overall, the night had a great start and finish, but the entrees, which were the highest price point ($24 for a skillet of Mac and cheese???) left a LOT to be desired. We started and ended with 4-5/5 stars but the huge misses with the entrees brought their rating down to a 3/5. I would consider returning, but only for the sushi as my entree. read more
