Went here for my daughters to get her first set of acrylics. The lady talked doing her nails talked the entire time. She keep stopping just to talk to her staff. There was no one in there accept us. I got a decent pedicure from a man. He did pretty good. I would never go back. Their regular polish is old and thick. My daughter's nails are not good. So disappointed. got a pedicure and the man started my service with no gloves. first red flag. he tried to reuse files on my toes and I requested new ones which he struggled to find. during the process of drilling down my old acrylic, I was burned by his drill twice. VU is evil. My experience was going great with the man who works there and the other lady doing my husbands pedicure. Then she comes walking in with her attitude and it's all downhill since. I got a full set plus color which was 45$ for full set and color for the silver tips was $5. She charged me 60. The original man who started mine, there was a language barrier so he didn't fully understand what I wanted. When it was fixed she tried to add on the cost of what he started. Like what!? She was on her phone the entire time scrolling and texting as she's doing my nails! I left and was not happy for paying for a service I didn't receive and they came out horrible. I told her I wanted two coats of base coat. So she did two coats of the silver on top too (which I didn't ask for) and then top coat so in the end it's all lumpy and bumpy. It looks horrible. I went to California nails while I was there to show them and they said they looked bad. Made a report with the mall also. They said they have lots of bad reports on that store. Again, the First Lady and the man were great. So sweet, so gentle and sweet personalities. Then she comes in on her high horse and attitude and ruins it all. This business would be great without VU. I've never had such horrible experience at a nail salon until I came to this one, while they were doing my nails the lady hurt my fingers and kept filling them until another of the coworkers told them they were doing it wrong and got mad and got aggressive after her coworkers left.They told me in the beginning of getting my nails that they were gonna charge $24 and by the end they were charging me $45 when I asked why they became suspicious and started telling me to pay them right before EVEN painting my nails! Was given a hardcover book with a choice of colors to select from. We (3 ladies in our group. One a reg customer) were NOT told these colors would cost $10 more nor were we told there were other, regular colors to choose from. My nails are not smooth, but bumpy. I also had other appointments. I also had my toenail polish color changed. I was charged $12 per the price sheet, but they used the same top coat on my friends pedicure & manicure, but charged her more for her nails, because it's the special polish?! If I could give zero stars I would. Absolute worse experience ever. The lady popped off (instead of soaking off) my dip nails so it hurt so bad. She then used her nail grinder super rough on my nails. She rushed through so my nails looked so bad I wanted to cry. This is the closest I've came to walking out without paying. I even told her two nails were crooked and she didn't fix them. I wanted them shorter and she left them all super long. She was rushing so she could do someone else's nails even though I called and made an appointment. I spent hours filling my nails down to fix them. I searched for years to find a nail salon home. I have now been a customer of La Vie Nails for a year. Everyone there has done my nails at least once. They take their time and really care for my nails and feet. I've taken my mom there, who has Alzheimer's, and they were so loving with her. Go there, just go. They are wonderful. read more

This is my second time here the first time was great and my second time wasn't the best. My nails are different lengths, there's bubbles, wet lines, bumpy, and super thick on the sides. I paid $70 for a full set. I understand the prices going up due to Covid but the man kept saying that's gonna be an extra charge every time he asked me a question. I love this place! I came in here about a week ago to get my acrylics filled before going on vacation and I was worried that they wouldn't last, but they did and they look brand new, too!!! The woman who did my nails (who I believe was the manager) was so so so sweet and always made sure that I was getting what I wanted. When I told her that I wanted gel polish she made sure that I knew it would cost more than normal polish. The prices are also very clearly started on a board which is visible hanging on their wall. They're also very affordable and the quality is comparable to other salons which cost more in the area. The salon I was going to previously always charged $45 for an acrylic fill with gel polish and at this salon they charge $33 for the same quality nails. As for environment, the salon it is very clean and peaceful especially for being in such a busy mall. Everyone there is very sweet and easy to talk to. I highly recommend coming here!!! read more

I came here for a pedicure after my regular place was booked up. I chose the Pearl Pedicure which is the premium one but I'm pretty sure my technician went way above and beyond. I enjoyed no less than 45 minutes and various foot massages! Crushed pearls, lotion, oil, hot stone, then hot towels. Simply extraordinary service! read more

i'm usually not one to write reviews, but this is by far THE WORST nail experience i have ever had. i went to get my nails done at two pervious salons on friday, january 31st. there was some mixups & the customer service was terrible, so i ended up leaving those places. i actually work in the mall, so i figured i'd give this place a try. i walked in, scheduled my appointment and was happy with my initial contact with the lady who did my nails. she was very friendly. i went in for my appointment that was scheduled at 8pm, i was about 30 minutes early because i was able to get off, which was no big deal, she fit me right in. she did my nails, she cut me MULTIPLE times, offered no discounts or anything for that, but she was apologetic. she continued to do my nails & i spoke with her about the horrible nail experiences i had that day & told her she was a breath of fresh air. she finished my nails, they weren't the best, but they weren't the worst. i was just happy to have my nails done, i even went back to my job and told them how sweet she was! so, the next morning i woke up and my nails were fine. i began to get ready for work & i took a hot shower. i got out and the top layer of my nails were bubbled and the polish peeled off. i was highly irritated and gave her a call. i explained to her the issue and nicely asked for a refund because i had no time to come and have them fixed. during this conversation she hung up on me SIX TIMES and told me it was my phone and not to hang up on her. so, i calm down waited an hour and called back. she finally agreed to let me show her my nails and offered me a refund. i get there and show her & she denies my refund and tells me that she had witnesses to the conversation we had early. she spoke very condescending and unprofessionally to me. she even stated that the other people currently in the salon could see what was going on. i told her i didn't care, showed EVERYONE my nails & simply asked for a refund on the gel. i told her i wasn't being unreasonable because the acrylic was still in tact and i just wanted a refund for the polish that was poorly done. she looked me dead in my face and told me that it wasn't her fault and that i went home and scrapped the polish off. if you search the salons name on facebook, they have some pretty horrible comments there. she is overall a rude person. she did a poor job & rushed me at the end, didn't even take my payment because she was rushing to get to another hand. please take your time and money somewhere where. **UPDATE** my coworker at work covered me so i could get them fixed. i called and made an appointment for 5:30. i went and my experience was again, unpleasant. she continued to bring up the day before and i told her i wasn't interested in discussing that. i just wanted my nails fixed. she didn't speak to me anymore, she just hand motioned what she wanted me to do. once completed to took a picture and said "i'm taking a picture so i know my work is done" i said "fine, whatever you feel like you need to do is fine" i thanked her once she finished. she wiped them with alcohol and i asked for no oil because i feel like that was the issue previously. she then asked me to scrap my nails. initially i declined, but she insisted so i did. i told her they looked fine & thanked her again. she then proceed to ask me THREE times if i wanted a KNIFE to see if it would scrape off. i told her no, because i didn't scrape them initially and that was she was asking was inappropriate. i gathered my things and left. again, i still wouldn't suggest going here. she seems very petty and unprofessional. you'd be better off doing your nails yourself. read more

To say the least, this place is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't take my dog to go get her nails done there. My mother came in town to visit and we spent 2 hours in the salon getting gel and a fill in. The man that did my mother's nails took the whole hour and 45 minutes to do her nails and the woman that was doing mine was completely rude. I am used to having a clean manicure with no access glue on my fingers but this place left my hands feeling rough and my nails looking even rougher. In the mall next to Sears...I made an appointment the day before, still had to wait 40 minutes. They did a great job and all the other manicures I saw were lovely. I didn't get polish because so was in a hurry. I went for a parson was dip on my hand, which are very dry and cracked. They tell me after the gal started "no one turned on the wax, so you can't get that today. I was disappointed. So, it has its good and bad points. Note: EVERYTHING is a la carte. Manicure is one price, polish is another, using the warming gloves, another, taking off the old polish, another few. You better ask up front how much it costs for the full thing you want! read more

I was in a hurry, so walked in with my mom and sister on my wedding day. They were great. Very friendly. My nails turned out beautiful.

This salon is too busy and rushes you though. I paid $35 plus $5 tip ( which I shouldn't have tipped) to get the gel nail polish. He only soaked my fingers in acetone for a min or so then scraped hard and ruined my nail beds. I thought something wasn't right but it was my first time getting it removed. Shook his head at me when I questioned because he didn't speak English but knew I was concerned about how he was doing. Then I got a one second massage and sent out the door. I will never go back to this salon. Please note: if you get gel polish, it has to soak for at least 12 minutes, and a good manicurist at a real salon will give you a nice (at least 10 min massage.). me & my cousin went to get our nails done after christmas, we where there for a good two hours. the service sucked. ive had my nails for 5 days and they are already coming off. they didnt even use a top coat on my nails. my cousins nails looked horrible. they polish was chunky on her nails. the lady cut my nails before i even told her the length i wanted. in my recommendation, dont go. i wasted 90$ on two set of crappy nails. read more

I went there 2 weeks ago. I received a full set. The lady who did my nails was sort of rude and was on the phone most of the time, which seemed to be a personal phone call. She messed up on several of my nails and damaged one of my natural nails. She also drilled into my nail beds. The acrylic was poor quality. After 2 weeks they started falling off.
