Thought I'd give this bakery a try because I was near by and craving champurrado. I was not happy at all with the champurrado. It was cold, watery and it lacked flavor. The pan dulce was ok. The conchas are AMAZING! They have a crunch to the top SOOOO GOOD! I would like to add that last Christmas I bought 2 dozen conchas to bring with the family. The owner had especially made these for me so when I picked them up they were still warm. They were a hit! My little cousin ate 7! He kept sneaking away with them when his mom wasn't looking. Update! We ordered our Rosca here this year and it was the best Rosca we have ever tried. It was definitely good and fresh. Other roscas are usually made days before. But when we went to pick it up the guy literally told us that it was hot since it had just come out the oven. What better place than to get fresh baked bread than this pananderia! read more

True Mexican Pan Dulce..I'm so glad I found this stand alone panaderia, from the moment you walk in the door your senses are aroused by the scent of fresh pan! The place is located in a small shopping center corner (easy to miss so keep a close eye out). Inside the bakery is pretty small but do not let that deter you, there is NO STALE BREAD here. They have all the classics cortaditos, elotitos, mantecadas and also the mini-conchitas.All delicious all classic flavors. (I did not try their food or the Champurrado simmering in the back burner but I'm sure it's good too) Perfect Pan Dulce fix for a rainy day .Try it. read more

Hole in the wall little joint, but dont let the location fool you. You will have the best freshly baked daily pan dulce & birotes. The conchas??? It's a hole in the wall bakery. I walked in and it smelled delicious!! Unfortunately when I got to the bread shelves the bread was covered with flies. Pan mosquiento for lack of a better term. I'll pass. Instead I just got a bottled drink. When I went to pay the cashier said "three." I said excuse me? Again, she said "three." Three what? Three quarters? Three high fives? I said "three dollars?" And it was all in Spanish so there was no language barrier. Will not come here again. read more

I found this place after i traveled 30 mile round trip to Grandma's broasted chicken in same strip mall...You can barely see it at the endof the strip..i went in and tried their pastries.. i found them better than most and after 3 or 4 visits.. i noticed they were also a full Latin cafe with pupusa's and menudo etc.. Bomb bread! I had a little place I would drive to in Anaheim for the best sweet Mexican bread but they have new owners and the bread is stale and hard. So I've been looking... I went to east l.a... commerce... And all along this little bakery was down the street from me!! Ugh. My kids loved the little conchas... 4 for $1. They were a little crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. I read other reviews about the food, I'm trying that next! All in all.. I'm not looking for great customer service... I'm looking for bomb bread and I found it! Some other chick said there were flies in there, I didn't see any. Among the way-so-many panaderias in the area, this is one is noticeably better. The bread was fresh, tasty and had an excellent texture.

Since I moved here two years ago, my family and I have been huge fans of this bakery. The pan is made fresh daily, and the owners are obvious hard workers! We are always greeted with smiles, and the best customer service. Nothing is better than their freshly made bolillos! We love to see the updates they make like they now accept credit/debit cards , a new paleta freezer, and they added a menu . Everything I have tried , especially the tacos are great. read more

I wandered in to check out the baked goods in this nondescript little bakery before getting a haircut down the way. I decided to order a quesadilla and, OMG!, it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!! You may be thinking, "Really, a quesadilla?" Yes, really!! The tortilla was formed and cooked as I waited. It was hearty, thick and satisfying. It was wrapped around THE most flavorful shredded chicken that I have ever eaten. Of course, the generous portion of delicious Mexican cheese only added to my bliss. This bakery is amazing! I found this place by accident, on my way home from work saw the great reviews and decided to stop by for bolillo.
