I was really disappointed with my experience. The bread had a very strong chemical taste and smell that reminded me of Clorox and Fabuloso. I couldn't finish eating it because it tasted so unpleasant. I've never had bread taste like that before, and it made me question the freshness or how it was prepared. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back and hope the bakery looks into their quality control because no customer should have this experience. read more

This place was recommended and decided to give it a try, the bread was good, better than other bakeries in the area for sure. This place likes to sweep the floors with the majority of the bread uncovered, this is so unsanitary! When I spoke to the manager she replied, well it wasn't a lot of dirt,, whether it was a lot or a little the bread was uncovered and your sweeping hair, dust and who knows what else on it!!!! read more

I came to the shopping center to buy food at the restaurant next door and although I have been here many times I never noticed the bakery here. I saw people coming out with bags full of baked goods and got off to try their conchas and wow I'm so glad I did. The selection is great, far better than the selection at Hispanic grocery stores and it smells wonderful in there. The conchas which take me back to my childhood were delicious and super soft and fluffy with the perfect amount of sugar coating on top. This place is a must and I am so glad I found it! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I got a cake that was rotten. Which ruined my daughters birthday. I called to inform the people of the their mistake and asked me to bring the cake back. How do I bring a spoiled cake back? I obviously threw it out. I had to go back a total of three times for a spoiled cake. This place was recommended to us. It was such a disappointment to see that my daughters birthday was ruined. One thing they mentioned too is that they are not magicians and won't know of a spoiled cake. This is terrible for the kind of business they are in. This place is still terrible. I went to place an order for next morning and they said they couldn't and wanted me to buy the bread currently on the rack. Went to the other location and of course no problem trying to place an order. Their bread is wayyy better than northgate hands down any day ...& lucky for them they are 5mins from my house. Oh and if your short $0.25, they will made you walk out, go to your car and find that $0.25. Other location in Compton doesn't sweat the change ... especially when your dropping $50. read more

I'm ver disappointed!! It's my first time here but never again. All the sweet bread is overpriced, except the bolillos. The flavor was not as expected considering their high prices. And if you pay with card it's a dollar for the transaction fee!! I decided to try the bread here to save 5 minutes drive from my regular bakery on Downey and Rosecrans, but believe me, those 5 min are really worth it. The conchas there have flavor and no charge for your card payments so it's a win win compared to this bakery. read more

Absolutely love this place, best pan dulce around hands down, and pan dulce is usually pretty cheap anyways but you could get a bunch of bread without breaking the bank. My family and I love coming here and sure they don't yell welcome or have a full on conversation with you customer service wise but I don't think people realise that it's a panaderia and not a Starbucks, it's different and you can either try it and love it or don't and move on, simple as that. read more

It creeps out at you as you're walking down the street, invading your nose with the memories of grandma's baked goods. They're pretty sparse inside, but that has never hindered me from drooling onto the glass of the display cases. Cakes, pies, tarts, Mexican desserts, breads, pan dulce, cookies, my mouth is watering just writing this review. They're inexpensive, the store always smells amazing, the staff is nice (and bilingual, sometimes) and I never fail to find something I don't like. Try them out, you won't be disappointed. This is my favorite Mexican pan dulces bakery. You can tell they use good quality ingredients because all their breads taste delicious and fresh. Their breads stay soft even after a couple of days, not hard and stale, especially if you keep them in a sealed container. The prices are also very reasonable since the breads are huge.
