What a great deal. Only caveat is it doesn't come with any sides like corn or potatoes. That's extra. Anyway, I get them home and try both pans. They have two different flavors (original Cajun or garlic butter). Both were AMAZING!!!!!! If they keep making crawfish like this, they will have a customer for life. Simply delicious.

The gumbo had a dark roux. It was decent but the spice level was a bit much for me. After about four bites, my husband took over. He enjoyed it. Next was the red beans and rice with sausage. The flavor was good. My only complaint was the sausage pieces were too big for one bite. Lastly was the twin lobster rolls with Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and I'd compare them to Charlie's. The roll had generous portions of delicious lobster. We chose a hot roll but they do serve it cold if you prefer. The basket is served with a 2 oz helping of melted butter for you to drizzle on your rolls. The flat top rolls were buttery, soft, and grilled to perfection. Overall, we enjoyed them but they were missing just a touch of something, maybe a spice, I can't pinpoint it. I would definitely get them again though! The food was all hot and fresh. I overheard Eric telling another customer they don't have heat lamps and everything is brought out as soon as it comes off the stove. The location is in the center of booming shopping centers. This is a great lunch or dinner spot that welcomes casual family friendly dining. I'm glad we returned, we will be back.

For the price this is an outstanding restaurant. You can get a really good enchilada platter for dinner for 5.95. The chips are fresh and crisp and the food we had was all good. The place is old but not run down. It is clean and bright. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. It really is a "local" place that caters to nearby residents. It's not a place you would drive far to experience, but it is definitely a blessing for those who live near by. I live in the neighborhood and frequent this place at least once per week. I'll start by saying I believe this is the best salsa in town. Chips could be better but the salsa is outstanding. Spicy and plenty of substance. The food is standard fair. Very good. Good solid portions. I haven't been blown away by any mexican restaurant around here so this food stacks up against any. Hence the 4 stars. Wait staff very good. Atmosphere nice and loud like I like it. Place gets crowded on weekends. Beer is cold. My wife says the margaritas aren't strong enough. My second visit to the restaurant yesterday. The first time I thought the food was okay and reasonably priced. Yesterday was another matter. I found a chewed up chunk of lime in the middle of my basket of chips -- GROSS! This is a health hazard and has me wondering if this is common practice to just fill the bowl back up with chips left by another customer. Do they do the same thing with the salsa bowl? However, the fillings were small like the small tortilla size. I was hoping that since the tacos were smaller, they would be packed a bit more generously. To improve value, I suggest making the tacos fuller and cutting costs on the packaging instead. I would be perfectly fine with tacos wrapped in tinfoil rather than being served on a bowl-plate with extra garnishes. At $3.50 to $4.00 per taco that takes about two to three bites to finish, the value just isn't there for me. I would definitely visit more often if they offered a discount for purchasing multiple tacos.
