Walking in, the place looked clean and inviting. I was immediately greeted by the hostess. I went to the bar, sat down, and the bartender greeted me immediately. A worker brought out chips and sauce a few minutes later. I ended up ordering the enchiladas Verde and they were excellent. The chicken tasted fresh and the green sauce homemade. The Kingwood Los Cucos hosted the celebration of life for my partner! It was a fantastic place for such an event. Managers Eduar and Arterrio helped with the reservation. Alex was the manager on duty and he totally helped us with setting up the tables, providing screen & projector for the slide show and microphones for the service. Our servers were Lupita and Ana and they did a great job!! There were 75 of us to take care of! The food was great!! I visited this location on Cinco De Mayo this year. They had live music, balloon making, and drink specials this day. The restaurant was large and had ample amount of parking. We walked in without a reservation and were sat immediately. As the night went on, the restaurant became very busy. Upon being seated our waitress came promptly and took drink orders. She was friendly and informative. I ordered a margarita and the quesadillas. The drink was very good and strong. The meat on the quesadillas were seasoned well, but the outside of the quesadillas were a little greasy. My friends each had a margarita and various dishes, but they enjoyed their dishes as well. The price of the food was reasonable along with the portion sizes. I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for tasty Mexican food. read more

So apparently Los Cucos has gone to forcing tipping at 18%. They do not let you know this beforehand. I guess they hope you don't notice & do what I did. I only noticed what the total was which was $155 (after their deemed 18% gratuity) & by using that number I tipped our waitress $30. The food is good, but not good enough to have a specific gratuity forced upon the customer. There's countless other good mexican restaurants out there who don't do this. I did speak with manager Fatema who did not seem to care. Just stating it's their policy & she would tell the general manager what I said. read more

Los Cucos is good a Mexican place very good food with good chips and salsa, the Taquitos/flautas I recommend and probably the cheapest thing on the menu, i also recommend the Mexican bowl which is my favorite item on the menu and is loaded with rice, corn, beans, creama, your choice of meat chicken-beef-pork or can do all three meats for 3-4$ which runs you about 15$ for the bowl it's well worth it. They also have some good birria tacos where you can dip them in birria soup very filling. They also have some good kid menu options like chicken quesadilla, chicken tenders, cheeseburger that compliments with rice and fries. They also have special drinks horchatas and lemonades and breakfast buffet on weekends. See my pictures for food and menu options they have. I have had an experience where I brought some out of town family about 10 of us and we were seated in party/banquet room behind the bar we ordered normally while waiting a large crowd starts coming in little by little we thought oh wow it's getting packed all of sudden and our food came so we started to see decorations being put up by the crowd of people tables were being lined up and we started getting looked at and said wow a party is going on they book the area and they put us there and the whole time we felt this energy of we gotta hurry or something but we didn't but it was uncomfortable feeling because management/hostess messed that up badly once we were getting ready to go I demanded i spoke to a manager and I did I told them they were wrong explained further and I was given a 40$ gift card it didn't cover the uncomfortable feeling and the sense to rush out of there but this was the only big issue I have ever had eating at this place, we also had some slow service moments throughout my the years of eating here but that's ok otherwise never had an issue. This is a really nice Mexican restaurant with excellent food. The food taste fresh and was not lacking when it came to flavor. They are generous with the meat fillings in the meals we had. If you order the Caldo de Res make sure you get beef instead of fat. Ours was nothing but fat, showed it to the waiter and then a manager offered a free dessert. Traveled up to Kingwood to celebrate a friend's birthday at Los Cucos for lunch. The service was great, they did a good job of being attentive and timely with the food. I love the chips and salsa that you always get at a Tex Mex restaurant, and this of course did not disappoint. You got 2 types of salsa with it, both tasting very fresh. We also ordered a queso appetizer that came with some thick fried tortilla chips. I really enjoyed those chips because it had a great thickness to carry the queso. Since we were there for lunch, I opted for a lunch special and built my own lunch order. I got the chicken quesadilla, which came with 3 pieces of cheesy and decadent slices along with the beef soft taco. Let me tell you, that beef soft taco was huge! The meal also came with rice and beans and this lasted me 3 meals. I'm a sucker for a great value, and this did not disappoint. My friends all ordered different things, and overall the portions were giant and enough to make you full and then some! One of the pretty epic dishes I saw was the lunch combo #1 which gave you a little bit of everything, but again, more than enough to make 2 meals out of it. Was in for drinks with some friends tonight and the waiter who was serving us decided it would be a great idea to (completely unprompted) tell everyone at table a disgusting joke about domestic violence. Not sure why he thought that this was an appropriate time or that we were an appropriate audience to tell this joke to - not that there is ever an appropriate time to joke about beating up your wife. i wanted to not like this place. I went in as TUK happened to be closed on the day i visited. Took a seat at the bar and was greeted with two of the most delightful and delicious salsas I've ever had. Ordered the fish filet (grilled tilapia) with rice and veggies and again I was delighted to have a damn good well seasoned fish and Normandy vegetable mix. I also took a flyer on the "grand margarita" it was average, good but not something id order several of in an evening for myself. Los Cucos? More like Gross Poop-ohs. After dining here, I experienced what I can only describe as debilitating diarrhea. I'm taking full bodied, hands on the wall, praying for it to end, ass blasting. The temperature and velocity was like nothing I've ever experienced. I'm really not sure what caused it. We had the mixed fajitas so it's really a coin toss. My only guess is that our chef got confused and washed their hands in a used toilet before cooking our food. Something had to have happened. Let me elaborate on this bowel activity. MULTIPLE BATHROOM TRIPS. And they were all equally brutal. You would've thought I was working with a power washer if you were in the stall next to me. I don't mean to be graphic here, but it's quite shocking when a simple trip to the restroom turns into the sweaty, athletic event that I endured. I felt like I was a hotel Keurig machine pulling a Dunkin Original Blend. Never again Los Cucos. I was a pretty avid fan before.
