I came in to get it fixed AGAIN and just requested they remove the entire dip manicure. They charged me for the service after I paid for my original dip manicure AND tipped $15 dollars. Even though the pedicure I received was fine I do not think I will be back to La'VOgue nails. honestly, the facility just didn't feel clean or well-maintained. If I didn't see my technician open the pack of sterile tools in front of my eyes I probably would've left. The pedicure chair I was in was broken. The floors were wet and the whole spa smelled of mildew. My technician was really nice, and offered to move to different chair, I did not take her up on the offer because I had already been sitting for a while, and that felt fussy. Even if I had moved to a seat that wasn't broken, the smell, and some of the general cleanliness would still have bothered me. Also, when the technician was doing the scrub and massage part of the pedicure, she pulled out orange slices to use with the scrub. It was a very strange experience. read more

I've been going to La' Vogue nails and spa for almost a year now. Overall my experience has been decent, until today. Avi did my nails and she did a good job, but she kept scolding me as to why I cancelled my appointment twice. Which I did express to her that I lost someone in death as well as other family issues. I've been a loyal client at this salon for two years, and it used to be a place I truly looked forward to visiting. However, over the past few months--since new management took over--my experiences have taken a disappointing and hurtful turn. On Friday, April 18, 2025, I had a 10:00 AM appointment. I ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes for my nail tech to arrive. By the time she began, she was already rushing to finish because her next appointment had arrived. I always get nail art and consistently spend $130 or more on my nails alone. That weekend, the art and jewels on my nails began to discolor and change in appearance. I returned to the salon Monday morning at 10:30 AM to have this corrected. The man at the front--who has repeatedly treated me with coldness and rudeness--refused to hear me out. He told me my tech was busy, told me no one else was available and declined to contact the owner when I asked to speak with her. I was then given a disconnected phone number (714) 749-8572 which deepened my frustration. What hurt the most was the blatant disregard for my experience--not only in that moment, but repeatedly over time. I've observed other customers, particularly those of different ethnic backgrounds, receiving prompt, warm, and accommodating service. As a Black woman, I've consistently felt dismissed and undervalued here. Being in the shop from 10:30AM until 1:15. The tech says, this was the last time she does my nails. Then goes on to say, you can book with someone else. The audacity but more so, again the disappointment. This is especially disheartening because the salon itself is a beautiful space. But beauty means little if respect isn't extended to every client who walks through the door. I'm deeply disappointed, and I can no longer recommend this salon to anyone, particularly to people of color who expect to be treated with dignity and care. read more

This place has completely FUCKED UP my nails TWICE. NEVER AGAIN. Gel nails and fakes are both removed with drill not soak off method and their technicians have no care for your actual nail and nail bed and will drill straight through. The drill burns and I'm distraught that I have them another chance and they ruined my nails drilling them too far down again. My new growth was noticeably higher so they went halfway through the damn nail. It will take MONTHS for me to regrow my nails back. read more

I went to La'Vogue for my bridal nails with my mom and sister. For my mom and sister, they did their nails while they sat for a pedicure. The dip nails were not smooth and eventually my mom's nails popped off 4 days after getting them done. My mom also showed a picture of white nails with chrome. They did the chrome so badly c it looked like she just had white nails. For my nails, I asked for a full set acrylic. The tech insisted I do gelx. I asked repeated if they would be as durable as acrylic (based on past experiences) and he said they would (promising I could come back if they lifted). We went in on Monday and my wedding was on Saturday. During that week, I was staying at a hotel so I was not doing any hard work with my hands. Before my ceremony (on Friday) I noticed a ton of scratches on my top coat). Between my ceremony and reception, I noticed the top coat peeling off. The finishing on these nails did not even last 1 week. I am not from the area so I cannot go in for a repair. I have tried contacting them via Instagram but have heard nothing. While I was getting my nails done, 2 other customers stopped by with issues on nails they got down in the last few days. That's when I should have known and gone somewhere else. Was a walk-in and didn't have to wait, which was nice. However my cuticles were cut multiple times, and I bled and then scabbed, which was really ugly. I got a no chip manicure and it did not last two weeks. I thought the price was a good deal at first, but with the mani only looking good for a week and then chipping/peeling? Not worth it. I'd rather pay the extra 10-20$ for the no chip to last longer. read more

This nail salon has a really nice atmosphere. It's beautifully decorated and has a lot of chairs for services. However, the quality of services is not so great. I got a no chip manicure, and it started lifting off multiple nails along the side within 3 days. I tried to just live with it, but then on the fourth day I had multiple chips and cracks in basically every nail. Tried this place for a simple pedicure and it was pretty good. The employees were friendly and efficient. Prices were not too bad. The place is decorated elegantly and there are a LOT of chairs & nail stations. My pedi was done in about 15~20 minutes although they advertised it as 30-35, so I'm thinking my technician skipped a few things, but my nails look nice and I was in & out, which sometimes you just want it to be quick. The salon is beautiful and very clean. Girls at the front desk were very nice. Lots of chairs and employees. I made our appointments on-line. My husband and I both went in for mani/pedi's. My husband had Coco who did a great job was very thorough and meticulous. I had an older woman. She was a bit ruff during both services and very shakey. She did my manicure at the pedicure tub using a pillow in my lap. I have never had a manicure that way. It was very awkward, the shape of my nails were bad and the polish was not cleaned off around my fingers. My husband had his manicure (no polish just nails buffed) at manicure table. It just didn't make sense. I would consider going back just making sure I got a different nail tech. read more

Like many of these other shops, they prioritize other customers over Black customers. I've tried making an appointment and dropping in right around the time they open. Both times I was left sitting in lukewarm water while other customers got sat and serviced. Then I get puzzled faces from the workers when I get up and leave. I remember seeing a Black woman next to me very unhappy with her service/treatment and thought she was being extreme. I totally get it now and feel the same frustration. They won't lose out from my service but I think it's important to let other Black women know how they might be serviced here. I did enjoy when Kim provided services for me! Ask for her. read more

I been going to this place for almost 4 months now, I went on Saturday 08/10 and I told the girl I need someone good I have engagement photos to take. She said yes Lisa did my nails and they were really really bad I told her respectfully the shape is not right but she kept going. She cut my hand in two places and I didn't say anything about it as walking out a really good girl approached me and asked me if anything was ok and and I showed her that my nails were really bad. She offered to re do them and I was so happy her name Amrane I think sorry if I spelled it wrong but she did really good job. She is a team player and sooo good at what she dose. I heard Lá VOgue was having a grand opening and it is conveniently located right off 83 & 22nd St in Oakbrook so I stopped in. Wow! The aesthetics of the salon are so beautiful. It is elegant and white with multiple crystal chandeliers and mirrors just amplifying the beauty of this new salon, has such a Parisian vibe. I love flowers, and there were fresh flowers everywhere. There is a very cute little bar directly when you walk in to enjoy a drink while you are waiting or drying and a beautiful small Sitting Parlour to do the same with the most exquisite in large mirror I've seen.
