3.28.22 I can not believe I am changing my review from 4 stars to 1 star. First, I drove 20 minutes to this nail salon, and I passed tons of nails salons along the way. I won't be doing that anymore. My daughter and I came in (3.27.22) for pedicures and she was getting square ombré done on her hands. Why do the nail techs not tell you their names or wear name tags? I like to know who is preforming my service. If I like your service then I can request you. I should not have to ask them for there name. Well, I have no idea who my tech was?! I got the Orange Citrus pedicure for $55. The water temperature was great, my massage was great, but my toe nail is crooked and my feet are so dry. (I hate posting photos of my feet but I will) My daughter ran into a problem with her service not once but twice. In less than 24 hrs she got a cracked nail. She went back to get it repaired. The way she was treated is not a way to keep your customers. Without customers you will not have a business. 3 people arguing with a customer(my daughter) is not a way to keep them. I will not be returning here because of the way you treated my daughter on both times she tried to get what she paid for. (I was there and witness one of them) Side note: My daughter went to our normal nail salon to get a whole new set put on right after she left here (3.28.22)and the tech told her that the powder was on her cuticles and would not have lasted very long anyway. read more

Definitely recommend this Beauty Bar. Including the barbers that are located inside. I have never been to an establishment where they take care of you from start to finish. They take good care of their clients from the way they treat you to how they cater to you. My husband goes to the barber - Andy located inside this beauty bar so while he gets pampered in his own masculine way, I am sitting next door sipping on a glass of wine getting my nails and massage done. Have been here a couple of times and Mr. Don has taken good care of me. Definitely recommend this place. DO NOT mind the drive from Katy to Cypress. It is definitely worth it. Please go check them out from their nail bar to the barbers! P.s- ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE ORGANIC!! - I have gotten my nails done other places and by the time they fall off my nail bed is always so brittle. 10/10!!! I decided to pamper myself today and decided to come to this salon vs other ones because I was told they use all organic & fume free supplies and I am so happy that I did!! My nails and toes looks beautiful first of all, customer service at Nail Toepia was exceptional and made me feel like I was at a five star spa ! They had a new steamer during my pedicure service and it was so wonderful. Smelled like lemongrass and left my feet and legs feeling so smoothhhh. So where to begin. First of all I went with my mother for a full set and pedicure. My usual nail tech went in vacation and I wanted my nails done for the wedding I'm attending this weekend. Hence the reason I experienced this sad excuse for a nail salon. Let's start with the pedicure. I had Hannah and OMG. She is too good for this place, the pedicure is 5 stars. The massage was incredible and my mother and I got the Orange Citrus pedicure. I ended up with 4 lengthy messages with various lotions and oils and I was all for it. I got french done on my toes and my pedicure was done before my hands and I had plenty of time for them to dry. However Lynn (the lady doing my hands) sprays my toes not even an inch away with the quick dry which was so cold it hurt. So let's get the reason why this review is only one star. I wanted SQUARE ombré. I told the technician (Lynn) I like them super square. Trusting the process I'm watching her do my powder ombré and as she is applying the powder I'm already wondering how this was going to turn out. Her method was more of brushing the powder on rather than patting which was interesting. They were messy, lumpy and all ok my cuticles but I was reminding myself to trust the process. Once she started filing the lumpy was gone but my nails were paper thin. I asked while in the chair (they did my hands and toes at the same time) if she could continue to make them square. On top of that I had to ask her to fix a nail that had a weird line in the middle from her attempting ombré. Once it was addressed it looked better. As my mom and I walked to the car we looked at my nails and realized some are also crooked and still not the shape I just paid for. The ombré itself ended up not looking terrible and the top coat was really shiny. We turn around and walk back to ask them to try to make them square and while we are at it we ask for a new top coat for my toes. The spray had made my toes super dull. Lynn didn't seem happy and told me they are in fact square when I left. At this point they looked more coffin. So this is where things get even worse y'all. I'm at work and my thumb cracks. So I call and ask if I can come in after work for it to be fixed. They didn't ask my name or anything but was eager to have me come in. When I walk in I the older lady up front said "oh it's you that called" Yep its meeee, she could have known if she would have asked on the phone. So Lynn starting filling off the top layer of my broken nail. While she is fixing it she didn't take off the nail and start fresh. She took a little off the top and slapped more powder on top. No she brushed more powder on. She went for a quick fix and didn't care if it was going to last. Once again I mention that I am unhappy with the shaping of the nails and showed a photo of what i wanted. Lynn argued that they were square from the beginning and I come back had her file which make them narrow like coffin. I explained that if they were done correctly I wouldn't have had to walk back inside. So at this point a male technician strolled over to insert himself into this. He starts telling me he saw my nails yesterday and they were done for what I asked. So I show him the photo too of which I googled "square ombré nails". I don't understand how he knows what my nails looked like when he a customer of his own and only looked at my nails in passing. To be honest I don't know why his inserted himself when it did not involve him, which I did not appreciate. I flat out asked him if my hands looked like the photo and he said, Yes they did yesterday before she filed them after you left and came back. So if having two people being rude wasn't enough now they older lady joins this party. So she ended up repeating what the man said saying it was my fault. Later she says the perception on shapes is different from Lynn and I and there is nothing they can do except fix my broken nail. Which also ended up looking like hot garbage. It was again lumpy, uneven, and yep paper thin. She starts the last step before putting the top coat and I see I have a weird line of color AGAIN. At this point I was wondering why I was still sitting in this chair after having every staff member except Hannah hovering over me, arguing, and being rude. I decided at this point I have had enough as the older lady tells me, that next time I need to be more clear. How much clearer is saying you want a shape they teach you in nail school? They proceeds to tell me they usually charge extra for coffins nails. I let them know that there would NOT be a next time and there won't be a continuation of this time. As I'm getting up nail not fixed, I'm grabbing my stuff and the older lady let's me know just to have a seat an they fix only the broken nail and mentioned they would do it free. As if I was going to pay this dumpster fire of a salon another penny. I ended up going to my usual salon and had a different lady to them and they are exactly what I wanted. read more

I have used this salon for both hair and nail services and I am very pleased with the results. Tina colors, cuts, and styles my hair and she does a really good job of it. Gina convinced me to try powder dipped polish on my finger nails and I love the results. My nails are stronger and the polish lasts several weeks without chipping. She also does a design on the nails on my ring fingers and I love the look. The salon is clean and doesn't smell of harsh chemicals......overall a win-win! read more

Don't come here with an APPOINTMENT with a friend for side by side pedicures. One of you will be in cold water bowl for an hour while other is getting pedicure! The ladies did not know what they were going. for 1 set they took 4 hours. she kept messing up and taking the powders off my nails. she glued all the nails uneven. she drilled my nails till destruction. she said she wouldn't charge and still charged me. wasted all my time and ruined my nails. and I still payed full price after all this. the lady who was doing my nails was not even licensed. she had no clue what she was doing. read more

Lyn was very polite and gave a wonderful medium-deep pressured lower leg and foot massage. I liked the relaxing atmosphere with Christmas music, massage chairs, and complimentary pink wine. I know this place has only been open for two and half months and I understand, it's not going to be perfect. My problem is don't try to do a set if your not as experienced, I'd rather you be honest and say you're not able to then try to waste both of our time. When I first got there I was well greeted and attended immediately. I was offered drinks, they made me feel comfortable, and kept great conversation with me. And on top of that the place is beautiful and well decorated. It was great. I came in for a mani pedi. I asked for shellac on my toes and a full set with powder for my hands. I wanted a simple white French tip with white toes. My toes came out great and the girl that did them was really patient and took her time on them. I loved how they turned out. Although the service that I chose (honey and milk) did not provide for what it was worth. On the other hand my manicure, not so great. I had asked for acrylic powder and mentioned it a few times to her but instead she did clear acrylic powder with gel on top. When she first started the clear acrylic application was very messy. It was all over my fingers and was very bulky. Not the best application. Then midway she stops and shows me pictures of designs. I agreed to one of the designs because I could tell she was eager to do one with all the pictures she was showing me. Then for filing and shaping I asked for coffin. Usually when I get coffin it's sharp and straight (like a coffin duh) but this set was so uneven and curved and not straight whatsoever. And I forgot to mention she didn't even prep my nails that good. She never even touched my cuticles. Now when she's getting ready to paint my nails, she doesn't even clean them. So I have all this hair and dust under the paint and you can see it. After she's done painting them she's getting ready to put on the design I'm letting her do. I agreed to a design that had gemstones along the cuticle line, but instead she does something completely different... once she's done with everything she puts nail glue on top of the gems... why? I don't know, cause it just made it worse. And she didn't even clean up my hands or put on some cuticle oil or anything. Once I get ready to pay she tells me it's $148 for everything. I was in shock. She said $68 for mani, $65 for pedi plus the $15 for shellac on my toes. Which was pricey and crazy to me. I don't know it may just be me but I've paid less for way better services. read more

My appointment was 5pm and I wasn't seen until 530pm. I had an appointment to do a mani/pedi. The girl who did my pedicure was great, but the person doing my nails did not give me what I asked for. She should have just told me she's not able to do it vs. rushing to look for colors and keep saying she knows. I kept trying to tell her it was different and she was insisting it was right. Pictures for what I asked for vs. what I received below. I was here until 7:30pm (after they close) because she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Please don't try to do designs and say you know how to when you don't. They didn't even offer me anything to drink until after I got my toes done. On top of that, while she was removing my overlay manicure, she was rushing. I've never seen this method before, but she got a bowl and a hot towel. She poured acetone in a plastic bag and put it in the bowl with the hot towel and proceeded to force my hand into the bag. I told her it was really hot and burning my skin and she just kept putting my hand in there. read more

4 stars for being brand new and understanding that there are some kinks that still need to be worked out. The staff is very friendly - offered a drink as soon as I sat down, and got right to work. My "lavender pedicure" was great, but the selection menu for the pedi's is a lot to decipher and bit confusing. Maybe just my experience, but it's a lot to take in. My manicure (dip) was good, but I did get nicked a few times and now that I'm home, as I'm typing this, I'm peeling off extra stuff from around my nails that I didn't really notice while I was there - polish/sealant, etc. Also, the cuticle oil they have is THICK. It's nice, but be warned. I washed my hands before I left and still had plenty of oil left over. The only 2 real complaints that I have are: 1) The woman a few chairs down from me gave them her card to charge while she was wrapping up. They kept "shouting" (the place isn't large so it just seemed loud), asking her if she wanted to leave a tip and how much she wanted to leave. I'm not sure how it made the customer feel, but I felt awkward - that's not something I'd want to display in front of everyone like that? 2) They charge you a $2.00 service charge for paying by card. They don't display this or tell you about it until you are checking out, and by then you likely don't have an option (unless you keep cash on you - I don't). It's not a large amount, but it would be helpful for them to let you know beforehand so you can make your own decision. I will definitely go back, but will bring cash and will be sure to take some time to try to decipher their menu a bit better. :) read more

i usually don't leave reviews, but i thought this one might be helpful. upon arrival, this place looked like it would be very nice & relaxing. it was a little busy, so i figured i came to a good place. i asked for simple square nails with some shellac painted on top. the application of the acrylic isn't the worst i've ever seen, but don was going very fast & didn't seem to be paying much attention to detail. when he started painting, he was getting pretty close to my cuticles. i thought that would be okay because he was going to fix it & even up the lines. after the polish was cured there were still spots of paint along my cuticles and the line of polish isn't straight & doesn't look nice. my thumb ended up not being dried all the way so i asked if i could have another tech fix it, but she had don do it again. it came out worse. very uneven & bulky. he told me it was my fault because i moved & didn't have my hand in all the way, when i sat through three whole timers on the curing light. paid $50 for nails i could've done better myself. read more
