Yet I always had confidence in my nail guy Duy (Zee) to get the presentation of my nails very neat. And Duy accomplished that goal effortlessly & beautifully. One of My favorite things about Duy is his timing. I absolutely love that about this nail salon. My appointment was at 2pm and I got tips and toes done within 60 minutes. My nails were clean and bare and my toes were 95% clear. Coming from Gel polish. Which is perfect to me. I left at 3:12pm. Theirs never a wait at Hollywood nails. Appointments are well appreciated and RESPECTED HERE. Nothing like other nail salons. Hollywood is a family, and you'll feel it. They know all their customers by name. Shortly after that visit, I started noticing inflammation, pain, and irritation around my toenail. At first, I thought it was just temporary sensitivity from the pedicure--but it never improved. Fast forward to now (March), and the issue has still not resolved. After looking into it and dealing with this for months, it's very clear that I developed a fungal infection, along with ongoing inflammation around the nail. This has been frustrating and honestly upsetting, because something that was supposed to be self-care turned into a long-term issue that I'm still dealing with months later. I can't say exactly what went wrong during my service, but I would strongly encourage this salon to take a closer look at their sanitation practices and tool hygiene. Situations like this shouldn't happen. This place is beautiful if you choose to come here, but please be cautious and pay attention to how tools are cleaned and handled.

But my mani was horrible. Very rushed. Didn't check first with the shape before she finished. Next time I'll remember to check. But she didn't give me what I asked. Then she messed up my thumb. It was all bumpy from the first time she tried fixing it by painting over and over it but that didn't fix it you could see the visible bumps. That nail broke within a week and color started peeling off. It's not even 2 weeks yet and my nails are already chipping and color is massively peeling off. I'm used to shellac lasting me 3-4 weeks. This is the least they've ever lasted for me. You could have thought they were just regular manicure no shellac. No attention to detail or professionalism. Didn't like Mimi. Pedicures were great! Wish I would have gotten her name.

I wanna sound tough...but if you have an ingrown toe nail...It can be as painful as having your hand nailed accidentally to a fence (don't ask how I know this...long story) and needs some attention before infection sets in. One in my house suffers from the same affliction. Deciding not to pay a Mercedes payment to the foot doctor, the wife highly recommended Nina (YAY NINA) to get the blasted thing removed. I do not know what she put on my feet to numb them. But she had a solid..."chunk" of the nail out before I knew what was happening. No wonder the pain was so daggum unbearable. Anywho...pain relief was virtually instantaneous. I thanked Nina for her services and about to get up to leave and was promptly yet politely told to park my keister meester. She told me "You pay for pedicure...you get pedicure". Probably one of the most diabolical tortures of my 40+ years of callus building on my feet. She might as well have taken a belt sander to them. Nina was happy and talkative and fun. I like that. And I am ticklish on my feet. See previous reviews of mine for my "Don't you dare judge me" clause of my reviews. Having finished grinding (and I literally mean grinding) my feet...I was out of pain...Nina was happy...and you cannot help but smile when Nina does. Today our visit was with Kay and Bella, they were amazing and did an excellent job with our pedicures. They also continuously checked in with us to make sure we were having a great experience. Island Nail is also doing a great job of offering fun promotions that fit the season, their valentine promo is so cute. I also love their drinks, the sweet tea is my favorite. About ten minutes into my wife's service, the manager began loudly criticizing and reprimanding the employee helping her. This happened in front of customers and created an awkward, tense atmosphere. The way he spoke to his staff member came across as disrespectful and unprofessional. Afterward, my wife respectfully spoke to the manager and explained that the situation could have been handled differently and privately. Instead of acknowledging that, he gave several excuses and defended his behavior. I then spoke with him myself and asked for an apology, but again there was no accountability -- only more justification. As a customer and as a parent bringing my family into a business, I expect a professional environment where employees are treated with respect. The experience left a bad impression, not because of the staff member helping us, but because of how management handled the situation. If you value kindness and professionalism, this was disappointing to witness.
