I purchased (4) SVT OEM wheels for my 2013 Shelby GT500 from them in February 2020. They were supposed to be (2) 19 inch front and (2) 20 inch rear wheels. Instead I received (4) 18 inch wheels. After a year of not returning my phone calls or emails, I ship them back via UPS and someone finally answered the phone last summer. He explained he'll pass the message to the manager but won't offer a refund and this isn't their problem not providing me what I paid for. He also said the wheels were returned damaged. I asked for pictures and description so I could file a claim with UPS. He refused to give those as well. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and then filed a Small Claims case which I've attached. This company can still appeal this judgement against them. I doubt I'll be getting my money back anytime soon and I strongly advise everyone to never do business with this company. One of the most dishonest businesses I've ever purchased from. read more

Purchased thru Ebay. Expensive. Claimed they are fully dipped but they don't finish the backs and the backs are only partially chrome covered and chipping. My Mechanic/Autobody shop who work and certified on many supercars said it was the worst chrome job they had ever seen. Already rusting on the unfinished inside even before installed and will get worse I'm told. La-Wheel-and-Tire only made excuses and said if I wanted the backs done I had to ask for it and pay more. Of course no mention of this in the ad. Areas on the fronts have either unpolished spots or too much removed showing discolor. Will have to pay $2000 to get these fixed. I will be up to around $6,000 for four rims with chrome. This was a Horrible experience and a very expensive lesson. read more

Ordered wheels on eBay, confirmed through email prior to purchasing that the wheels would be delivered in 3 weeks. I have corresponded twice after 3 weeks and was told each time it would be the next week. It has been 6 weeks today and I still do not have the wheels that I was promised and paid for on 15 Dec 2016. I brought my tires and rims in to Steve at LA Wheel and Tire two weeks ago. It was a rainy day later in the afternoon and they were going to be closing up shop shortly due to the rain.  Steve told me to bring them in anyways and that he would wait. I was coming from Corona so it would be an hour and he was still nice enough to standby. When I arrived they took my wheels right in and I went over everything with him. Steve is a great guy and we talked cars for a bit and he let me know the wheels would be good to go in two weeks (worth the wait he said).  Sure enough, right before the two week mark I got the call they were ready for pickup.  I arrived a little early and Fabian was able to run my card for the bill of sale and helped met get the tires over to my truck for pickup (even before they officially opened). Everyone I met, and talked with at LA Wheel and Tires was extremely helpful and personable. You can tell they take pride in their product and want to make their customers happy. The pictures can't do the wheels enough justice. The triple chrome is absolutely stunning (and a five-year warranty to boot!). Steve and his crew did me a solid and re-mounted the tires and TPMS at no additional charge so all I had to do was put them on the Z when I made it home; she sure looks great now. I had also purchased the chrome plated lug nuts to match the wheels (they have every accessory you could possibly need to make everything match perfect). Everything looks amazing and I couldn't have been happier.   Thank you Steve and everyone at LA Tire! This Company lied to me multiple times already. My winterchromed wheels began peeling after only one year with no exposure to anything other than normal air. Steve agreed that the chrome plating was defective but never sent me a substitute, temporary mag wheel, to use until my wheel would have been repaired as he said he would. And then when I found my own substitute temporary wheel and was ready to send my defect mag wheel back for repair Steve lied to me and told me his company was going out of business and that they can't do re-chroming any more. He said he would find someone else to do it for me, but he never did that either. A total fraud. I have reported this Company to the authorities and I hope they get what they deserve!!!! read more

I found LA wheels on ebay originally. They had a complete lug nut set of 20 for my wheel for my 911 for which I only needed 5. They had a number on their ebay listing. I gave them a call. They were able to help me and I paid a fraction of the cost because they were creative in how to save me money. I really appreciated them thinking outside the box. Long story short.... on every single occasion I have called them since, they have had superb customer service. They are just good quality people. Looks like one of the managers replied to my post, don't believe it. I tried to arrange to have my wheels brought up there, and they told me that they're moving the week that I wanted to bring them up there in June, but they didn't know where they were moving to and the exact date. Every time I would try to communicate with them it would take it at least five business days just to get a reply. They purposely make it very difficult for you to take advantage of the warranty. February 17, 2020 If you are reading this review, this means that no one from LA Wheels has responded to my email that was sent to Steve Lopez on 2/12/2020, regarding defective wheels. Please do not let these people fool you into purchasing PVD wheels from them. I purchased a set of Four "Winterchrome" Wheels, and as of now, two of my wheels are showing defects within a year and a half. This is my experience with LA Wheels: I sent them four OEM Lexus wheels that were flawless and had no curb rash even though my car was 4 years old. And in return I have received 4 PVD wheels. I purchased wheels the end of June 2018 and was told they would be shipped out in 3 weeks (this was a lie and they were shipped out almost 2 months later). I finally received the wheels the end of August 2018. I asked what the holdup was and was told by Steve that one of the wheels was not accepting the finish (this should have been a Red Flag). Now I am thinking that this is probably the wheel that is now missing 3 inches of chrome. It's now February 2020 and one rear wheel is flaking and a 2 inch by 3 inch of chrome is gone in between two spokes and that area is now black. Also, the finish around the lug nuts has flaked off and rust is underneath. The second rear wheel is bubbling and you can tell that the finish is going to start flaking soon. My car is only hand-washed, and the cleaning instructions were followed, which was not to apply cleaning chemicals to the wheels, so they are washed only with a mild detergent and water. Also, there has not been any snow this winter or last winter, so this has nothing to do with salt getting on the wheels. In the late 90's I purchased wheels locally with this same exact finish and they went through 10 winters without bubbling or peeling. I'm not sure what happened with these wheels, but I am an unsatisfied Customer and this company has not even bothered to contact me back. Yes, LA Wheels state they offer a "5-year Warranty", however they make it very inconvenient for customers to claim. Upon reviewing the 5-year Warranty information on the website. LA Wheels, basically wants you to send them the defective wheel to repair, instead of sending out a replacement wheel to the customer. Once you ship them the wheel, you will receive it back in about 4 weeks. Not only that, once they receive the defective wheel there is no guaranty that they will agree that what happened with the finish is their fault. So, then you will need to pay for them to repair the wheel. First of all, LA Wheels cannot be trusted to send the wheel back in the timeframe of four weeks and I am basing this off of how long it took for them to send me the wheels when I first purchased (I was told wheels would arrive in 3 weeks and I finally received them 2 months later). Second of all, I would need to drive my Lexus with a donut for 4 or more weeks.... I don't think so. A donut supposed to be a temporary wheel that you should not drive on for more than a day or two. Thirdly, I would be asked, why are you driving around with three Chrome wheels and a donut? Then my response would be "because LA Wheels does not stand behind their workmanship and doesn't TRUST or VALUE their customers enough to just send out a replacement wheel when there is a legitimate claim." There are better companies you can purchase PVD Wheels from, and they probably do not offer a 5-year warranty like LA Wheels, but what good is a 5-year Warranty if it's useless anyway. I purchased 4 Z4 rims from these guys and when I received them there was a defect with one of them, problem being I did not find out for 2 months after I purchased as I did not install them until the snow had melted. I contacted LA wheel and Tire and spoke with Ken, I assume he is the owner. After a discussion about my circumstance Ken said he would investigate to see what he could do , being as I had long since past the return policy period stated in every sale. I called Ken back giving him some time to do what he had to do , and he informed me that they would be shipping me a new rim at no cost to me . FANTASTIC !!! Ken and the guys at La wheel and tire went way out of there way for me to make sure that I received what I had ordered . Usually something like this would have turned out to be a bad learning experience as I was 3500 miles away.
