Just found out about this place tonight. Nice, chill atmosphere, the food selection is delicious (I highly recommend the mac & cheese!), and the alcohol selection is good too and is certainly instagram worthy. As for the service, it was really slow. Our server mentioned in the beginning that things would be super slow because there were 4 parties there so I give them credit for notifying me in the beginning. While the service took a while, the workers were very kind and friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. If you like casually hanging with friends with some great tasting soju/sake based alcoholic drinks and delicious food/appetizers, this should be on your list to visit. read more

There were only two tables dining in the restaurant this afternoon and my wife and I ordered 5 items of the menu. We sat there for 15 minutes before they brought two cups of water, and had to wait another 15 minutes to get one of the cocktails we ordered. The waitress didn't get my other drink in the system. Also they came by and apologized that our food were burned and it would take another 20 minutes. We didn't want to be bad customers, so we decided to wait for the food. Wings came out 10 minutes later with no plates. They brought the plates after we were half way done and bones were on the table. Again they apologized for that. One of the two entrees we ordered came out after that and my wife and I split it since we were starving at that point. After we were done with that plate we asked them about the last order and the guy told us it's still coming. At that point we were the only customers left in the Restaurant and the chef was out of the kitchen and ready to leave. We asked if they have not started on the last order, we would like to cancel. The guy went to the back and told us they have started it so we asked them to pack it. They apologized for being late on the service and gave 10% discount. Came here during their grand opening event. To be honest I was quite skeptical since the last place was "Vounge" which I always just assumed was short for "vape lounge." Now I don't vape, so never felt an interest. Now, Lab 88 exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and welcoming despite the grand opening rush. Love the soju-based drink concept. Especially after just spending a month in Korea. The only thing I would recommend is to also have some Korean beers, maybe another beer pong table, and removing a couple tables to make some room for dancing. The overall vibe of the place is young and hip. Plenty of seating areas for the space. Decor is new and the dimmed lights really add to the environment. Plus the cocktails are served in cute beakers to add to the theme! But for a new bar with a totally unique concept compared to other bars in the area, I'm very impressed. I loved the ambiance and the lighting in there. There was barely anyone here on a Saturday night which was kinda sad. The drink we ordered were the itzy ice and the anpanman (because I'm a BTS fan and the drink came with a melona ice cream bar hehe). Both the drinks were very good.
