Well, just doing a quick update because they added cajun boil to their menu. In fact, for $50 you can get AYCE boil and KBBQ. I don't know how anyone could eat enough to get their money's worth, but that's what is going down. Also during the weekdays Mon-Thurs, they have a late Happy Hour where the KBBQ has a few less meat choices but is only like $29.99, so that is highly recommended. So how was the cajun boil? Honestly, not horrible but not exactly good either. Any cajun boil lives and dies by the success of their house sauce, and unfortunately theirs is not balance and noticeably too sour. It's not something I'd eat here again. I'd rather go to Grab-A-Crab or Submarine Crab (my favorite). Still, their KBBQ is still a great deal. Quality meats, a cheap late night Happy Hour for the last 90 minutes they're open on weeknights, good sauces (except for the bean dip for the lettuce wraps which is way too dark and doesn't taste right), and lots of small side dishes like gyoza and sweet buns, and french fries, and popcorn chicken. This place reminds me of a phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". After watching the short videos from social media about their special and I decided to gave it a try. I had high expectations because of their rating but I was disappointed. I really wanted the seafood broil to be good and it was no where near the well known popular seafood broil restaurant. I think I can make it taste better than this. Sushi was on par with ordinary Chinese buffet quality and nothing special. The meat was chewy and ventilation was not great. Like I said I was expecting better experience given their regular price. For some people, it would be ok for the food quality and selection with their special price but not for me. We wanted to try something new, what a mistake! The food is decent, not great. Very basic seasonings and flavors for Korean BBQ. The service is HORRIBLE. Walked in at around 5:30pm on a Friday. Place was pretty empty and as we were looking the menu at the front 3 people looked at us and ignored us. One guy finally came over and went over options with us. Once we were seated, we were rarely checked on, had to keep raising our hand to get the waiters attention. Waiter looked miserable to be working here. After visiting Action Bowling lanes, I stopped by Wow Cow Korean BBQ shortly before closing time. It wasn't too busy and got seated right away. Inside is very vibrant with neon signs, KAWS custom figures, and bright lights. With the Happy Hour being very limited, we went for the Premium meats to try their wide assortment of cuts. Some of our favorites included the Prime Rib finger, wagyu short plate and brisket. I tried premium beef tongue and small intestine for the first time, I liked the beef tongue more. Small intestine freaked me out but was good when it was crispy and charred. This spot is perfect for big groups but I thought some of the cuts had a lot of fat than other spots. I was hungry with a friend of walking for pokemon go fest. We really wanted something meaty and hearty and wow cow fit just the bill. We came on a weekend later in the day at night. The wait can be long so definitely call ahead. It took us 30 minutes to get seated. That being said, service before and during the meal was good. The decor is epic- giant kaws statue with chrome. The meat and service were both pretty good, with banchan being good but not leaving a strong impression. Is it fast and value? Yep. Is it the best kbbq I've had? No, but it gets the job done. Okay, honestly, I was skeptical about this place because I've personally never heard about it from my friends or anyone.. but I'm so glad I came here. The space itself is huge. The seating is great and spaced out really well, which I appreciated. It has a kind of futuristic vibe, which is pretty neat. They have a bar area with smaller snacks, sushi, desserts, plus a sauce and salad station. There's also another station with a small freezer that has different ice cream flavors for no extra charge. Their all you can eat plan has three tiers: a basic option, a premium option, and an executive option. The prices are honestly pretty decent. My friend and I got the middle tier, and it came out to about $80 for two people. We were satisfied with the quality of the meat, the variety, and how much you're actually able to eat. It really felt like we got our money's worth, which made me really happy. As far as customer service goes, everything was fine. Nothing over the top, but no complaints.. it was chill and smooth overall. My only preference or suggestion would be to maybe dim some of the lights a bit. KBBQ spots that set the mood a little more rather than have well lit/bright lights always do better. It would give it like a night life/futuristic/cyberpunk type vibe. read more

So close to giving this location a 5 star until I bit into a plastic piece in my food... Let's start with the good part. The meat quality is good. Meat rolls are not frozen and can easily unwrap. The self-serving bar is a great addition. We had fun trying out the different sushi, and they were all so good! The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seats. Additionally, if you post 5+ photos of the restaruant to your social media, you will get $10 off vouchers (they also discounted my meal). My critique: 1) I found a clear plastic piece in my corn cheese. Wow Cow?? I was NOT WOWED. Truly a disappointing dinner. Came in as a party of 8 and we were seated at a long table with two grills. One side of the table received great service with grill changes every 5 minutes while the other side didn't get a grill change until we asked for one. We noticed that the grill was unusually low heat, so we asked the server to turn it up since our brisket was taking forever to cook. Unfortunately, it took us some fiddling around to figure out how to turn up the heat of our grill. As I was about to pick up a piece of brisket, I noticed a strange light reflecting off of the meat. I set it down and noticed a piece of metal stuck to the meat. I picked it up and felt it with my fingers and it was most definitely metal. Possibly from those metal dish scrubbers. I alerted a server when she came over to change our grill. I let her know that I found metal in the meat and no longer want to eat. She responded with "Oh no, I can take that for you." So yes I did pick it up and put it on the dirty grill to be taken away. After a couple minutes, she came over and apologized for metal, offering me a choice of strawberry or carrot towel. She also let us know that the beers ordered by my friends (2 Sapporo and 1 Heineken which would be $17 total) would be on the house. I truly did appreciate the apology and offer of a cute towel, however, it was weird that they comped the beers that my friends ordered when I was the one who found metal in my food? I didn't even order or drink beer so it felt like a weird way to apologize. The ambiance and decor here is interesting and the salad bar is definitely unique. This was really bad. One of the worst dinners I have had in a long while. Service was not the problem at all. In fact, the workers tonight were very attentive and synchronized with running plates and balancing the needs of many tables. So, five stars for the hard workers here. The atmosphere was the first problem. While I was a big fan of the Halloween decorations, there is not enough focus on sound absorption to dampen the full house chatter. I was immediately aware of one or more screeching babies because this is a very family friendly place. I wouldn't have come here if I'd experienced the acoustics beforehand. There's a loud projector playing 2000's songs from YouTube competing with loud ass kids. I was already in hell and couldn't hear any human speech very well. The food is what I stayed strong for and it wasn't worth the $40.00 base Deluxe price for me, given the experience I had. The banchan received by my table was pretty nasty. One of my party tried a bite of the potato salad and hated it, saying it tasted too sweet. The kimchi was bland and lifeless. Each small dish had its flavors very, very off from the quality and profile I expect in a side dish. We tried the steamed egg and it was oddly watery. It had an initially nice seasoned flavor the first bite off the top, but the bottom tasted acrid and burnt, like a cigarette infused its flavor in the bottom. No one could stomach to finish that, either. We ordered the soybean stew and the soup provided was hot and contained veggies and tofu. This was too watery and lacked salt or other savory seasoning to make it enjoyable. This was not finished. We also ordered the kimchi stew and that was marginally better, but still really watery and overall it just seemed like nobody in charge knows how to make the soups or side dishes. We also ordered the cold noodles. They arrived on our table at room temp. We had to finish a water pitcher and pour ice cubes into the noodles and stir to make them actually cold. These noodles tasted like green jolly ranchers before and after the addition of ice. What the helly? Very confusing and off putting. The meats were okay for me but at this point every single item I had tried felt like Satan was testing me after a hard day at work. The venue lacks adequate ventilation and I left with a scratchy throat and eyes. My appetite was ruined and my trust in the quality of this place is down with Dante in the Inferno. Luckily, 3/4 of the others in my party could tolerate the meats: Besides brisket, they enjoyed the LA Galbi, diced beef, some beef belly, some marinade bits from the Deluxe offerings, and another thinly shaved meat that they described as "buttery." I, however, am absolutely never going back to Wow Cow. If you have sensory difficulties, you will be better off not inflicting it upon yourself. I found myself craving veganism, lol. read more

8/8/25 Friday We arrived around 6 PM and it was pretty empty. Our party of 6 were seated immediately. People started tricking in shortly after. They served us the usual complimentary ban Chan (side dishes). There is a self serve area to grab dipping sauces, sushi, japchae, lettuce, pickled radish, etc... We selected the Deluxe menu. Our server helped us get started by getting our orders of meat and doing the initial grilling of the meat. I would say everything was good besides the inconsistency of texture in some cuts. The prime rib finger was at times very tender and at times very tough to chew. I mainly liked the brisket and Galbi. Everything else was too heavy or sweet for my taste. The Hawaiian steak is tender, but too sweet. I didn't try the sushi so I can't speak to that. It's a bit dimly lit inside so it gave it kind of bar vibes. Jinro even made a surprise promo visit where folks got to spin the wheel for prizes. They gave everyone free key chains too. Vents aren't super strong so expect to smell strongly of bbq after. The ice cream is also self serve. They had strawberry and chocolate available at the time. It was ok. Plenty of parking. read more

Wow Cow is hands down, the best KBBQ spot in Southern California. I've been to my fair share of restaurants, but this is the one I consistently come back to. If you're looking for actual quality, this is it. The beef is a total standout!! The marbling on the cuts is gorgeous, which makes a massive difference in how it melts on the grill. The sashimi is equally impressive, consistently fresh, and a level of quality you don't typically see at this type of restaurant. What really puts it over the top is the variety. You have access to almost every type of banchan you could ever want, and the fact that both the sides and the sushi rolls are set up buffet-style is a total game changer.
