HOUSE PAN ROAST, THE DIVE CHOWDER, FISH N CHIPS, oyster
April V.

Came Saturday for dinner, no wait Ordered the house special, dive clam chowder, fish and chips, and oysters (total $116 including tip) The food was fresh and tasty! I loved how you can really taste the seafood in the chowder, it's different than most I've had. Great music and ambience to hang out with friends It's a bit on the louder side if you're trying to have conversations but not obnoxiously loud

Have been coming here for years and that I've personally tried, most thoughtful version of Cajun food I've had outside of Nola! Have been to several across LA and several have closed down which goes to show you the fact that this place can survive how good their food is. - Shrimp Pan roast (best flavor of pan roast sauce outside of Nola I've had, wish they were a little more generous with the toppings, only had 4 Shrimp) 4/5 - Roasta (think pan roast but with pasta, generous portion and toppings) 5/5 - Cheesy Shrimp & grits (if you're a mac and cheese kind of person, you can't miss out on this) 5/5 - happy hour oysters ( I know these are meant to be not the best quality since it's happy hour but these oysters were so microscopic) 3/5 Ordering in is obviously good but doing delivery service is just as good

Came for happy hour. Service was fast and friendly. We had 5 min to order before happy hr closed and the waitress was able to get it in the system before then.

Consistently excellent service and food. Glad we swung by this weekend. They've got the best happy hour deals especially for oysters! We tried the mussels and noticed the delicately flavored broth - so beautifully balanced, not overly salty. Every single dish they knock out of the park! Oh my goodness, we love this place so much. Can't help ourselves. We just have to keep coming back.

Best 100.00 spend on a solo lunch. 2 x cocktails (Lychee Dreams + Sirens Song) Souris River 1/2 dozen Raw Oysters Truffle Parmesan Garlic Fries House Pan Roast (Assorted Seafood in Creme Cajun Sauce) Bam! Best $100.00 lunch I've had in a while. Worth every bite! Oysters fresh. Lightly sweet, paired well with cocktail and chimichurri sauce. Both cocktails were light on the palate with enough of a hit, not too sugary. Paired well with Oysters. The House Pan Roast. Without question I'd recommend to anyone who's visiting here the first time. I was originally going to settle for some market price lobster pasta but decided since everyone posted the House Pan Roast Steam the most might as well. Great choice regardless. Bartender Manager very professional. You feel taken care of. Ambiance without question excellent dine in atmosphere, very modern decor. So I just came back from a dispatch to Lansing Michigan and ate at one of their Seafood Boils...does not compare to this establishment in Temple City Los Angeles!!!

Lobster roll with cajun fries

The cajun fries for the lobster roll is good. I didnt see cajun fried on the me by itself though. The lobsterroll wasnt bad. it was a little on the smaller side for $33 but they do give a decent amount of lobster so im not complaining. I cant compare serving portion to other places since i dont usually eat lobster rolls. The traditional pan roast is good. Got mild but it was a little towards the medium side. My friend was dying from her mild jambalaya. Thank you for refilling my water 3 times.

Located in a plaza with variety of restaurants, parking can be a challenge on a weekend but eventually you'll find one. This restaurant is right in front of the fountain (with the floating kettle). We got seated right away but the male server (the Vietnamese one) didn't even acknowledge us nor gave us a menu not until we asked for it. He just pointed the QR code in a rude way. On the other hand, the female server was nice. We ordered the jambalaya, roasta and fried oysters. Serving size was a huge portion and is good for sharing if you're not too hungry. The spice level for both dishes can be adjusted to your liking.

A lazy Sunday Easter afternoon. Was watching an episode of S3 Lifestyle Saturday night. Best believe when looking for something to eat we decided to come check it out because of their recommendation. Today we decided to try their fried shrimp po boy, the fish and chips, and some wings that we were craving last night. We came during happy hour with the fish and chips just at 11.50. Oysters at 1.50, but didn't try them today. Their prices are not bad at all. The fish and chips are battered different. They were crispy and seasoned very good. Juicy center. I am obsessed with their Cajun fries! I was soo bloated but continued to eat them lol. We got the salad for the po boy since we already had fries with the fish and chips. The po boy was delicious. It had a horseradish relish with onions and the shrimp had a Cajun seasoning. I thought the seasoning was good but I craved a little saltiness. But!- if you have it with fries don't worry about it. I ate my fries from the fish and chips and the sandwich. Bomb! The salad was delish, it was topped with tomatoes, onions, and a sweet vinaigrette. Topped everything off with an Arnold Palmer. They do have cocktails and beer. Today was not a drinking day. $9 margaritas during happy hour- their watermelon margarita did sound tempting as they seem to make their juice here. Honestly everything here looks good. We came with an empty stomach left with leftover wings. I wanted to focus more on the seafood as we ate and finish the wings at home. The wings had a great flavor. Their dressings were bomb. Including their tartar sauce! I did not get tired of it. I feel like most places use mayo-this was legit. I wanted more of it! Cant wait to come back and try their noodles, chowder, and everything else!

On a Friday night in February, I ordered take out dinner. The restaurant looked busy at 5:25pm. I was nicely greeted and shown my order receipt to the hostess. It looks like they had nice ambiance in the dining room. My food was already ready in paper bag with nice containers. I ordered fish and chips with clam chowder soup. The clam chowder was thick and yummy. The 3 fish strips were long in length and fried nicely with crispy Cajun fries. Next time I will definitely go there for dinner. FYI, Best to park underneath in garage

DineLA once again brought us to this seafood spot, perhaps the only American restaurant in a predominantly Asian outdoor shopping centre that includes the famous Bistro Na's. I was and still am interested in trying their Happy Hour, which has good deals. They had a DineLA lunch and dinner menu; we did the 2-course lunch (starter and main). We came at opening time and there was only 1 person in front and 1 in the open kitchen. There were 2 parties and someone making a large to-go order, so it took awhile for the server to do everything--seat people, take orders, make cocktails and bring drinks and food. etc. Later more workers came and he was able to catch up. Our 2 starters were the Cajun truffle fries and shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits are usually a main, but this smaller version was very good--4 shrimp atop grits with andouille sausage, bacon, green onions, cheeses and the trinity (bell pepper, onion, celery). The fries had Cajun spice, parmesan and truffle oil. Our mains were the chicken and sausage pan roast and the fried catfish po'boy. The pan roasts here have a tomato seafood bisque base, served with the trinity and either rice or pasta. Their house pan roast with seafood was an upcharge for DineLA. The po'boy was delish, a large well-fried piece of catfish (you can get it blackened too) served on a toasted French roll with molasses mustard, remoulade, sauteed trinity, lettuce and tomato. Cajun fries (not truffled) were served alongside! I got a Shirley Temple and it included refills! Always a good meal here. One day I'll try the Happy Hour,

Friendly service. Good food. Great happy hour deals. If you're in the mood for some pan roast definitely give this spot a try.

Oysters - great happy hour deal

The Dive Oyster Bar (Temple City) is such a fun spot--casual with an elevated feel that makes it perfect for a night out. Went on a Friday and they even had a DJ playing 2000s Top 40, which gave it a lively vibe without being too loud. The space itself is clean, modern, and well-designed, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a win. The service really stood out--Veronica was incredibly kind and even helped celebrate my birthday, which made the experience feel special. Food had a lot of highlights: Oysters (happy hour) were fresh, well-presented, and a great deal. Clams & mussels had a spicy, flavorful broth--definitely one of my favorites. The lobster roll (off-menu) was rich and delicious on soft brioche. Shrimp & grits were solid and satisfying. And the scallops were AMAZING--beautifully presented, fresh, and easily one of the best dishes of the night Overall: Great atmosphere, standout service, and delicious seafood across the board. This is a spot I'd definitely come back to--especially for the oysters, scallops, lobster roll and overall vibe.

An oldie but a goodie! One of my fav Happy Hour places! Some of the best fish and chips! Got their bread pudding for the first time cuz hubby wanted dessert and it was delish! Super moist! I really liked it with the berry compote but hubby wouldn't let me make it pretty! The oysters were delish as was everything else! Service was excellent! Our server Veronica was great! Love the decor and the ambiance and they have a live dj on Friday nights.

It proved more difficult when dealing with the owner Scott. I'll start by saying the end result was us rescheduling at the same rate that we booked & our event went well, however it wasn't without hiccups. When rescheduling, we were specifically instructed by Scott to cancel our booking in Peerspace & rebook the new date. That's when issues started. Before cancelling I mentioned how Peerspace won't refund our full amount & Scott replied that whatever isn't refunded will be credited toward the new date. That didn't happen without us constantly reaching out via text, email, & Peerspace. When you request a date on Peerspace it's pending review/approval from Blush, however it charges you immediately. Since we opted for the payment plan that required about half down & remainder later, we were waiting on our refund to book the new date. It never came. When we were finally able to have a phone call with Scott, I couldn't get one word in the entire time he was mansplaining the world of business. He was very patronizing & I swallowed my pride because we just wanted a resolve & to not lose the deposit. I asked very clearly whether he was going to uphold our agreement. He did, but under the condition that we pay the remainder of our balance upfront in good faith to them. We did & that was that. Thereafter, it was back & forth whether Chris would still be working our event which Scott said he was. Chris was the saving grace of Blush in our opinion. Customer service & how you treat people is king, so it put our hearts at ease. But not for long, since it was changed later to Jin. Getting Jin to respond was difficult. We requested a final walk through with our coordinator about a month before our event. Jin told us he wasn't feeling well & wasn't present for most of the walk through. So we asked questions via email instead. I specifically mentioned a clean facility is important to us. The place just wasn't as polished as we first saw it. He was responsive only after I'd send text follow ups. The week of, not at all. I was waiting on confirmation about our drink selection which I never got & we just hoped it would all work out the day of. Day of our coordinator arrived first. The bathrooms were clean but the bar, cocktail tables, mirror hallway, & front door were full of fingerprints and sticky as if not cleaned from a previous event. We were told there would be 2 staff & that they'd be able to help us move cocktail tables. We weren't aware one of those people would be Jin & he wasn't helpful at all. He completely ignored our coordinator & aunt, but jumped to help our DJ with the sound system. We can only conclude it's because our DJ is a man & as a same sex female couple that leaves such a bad taste in our mouths. Our coordinator & aunt ended up cleaning everything with the one rag & spray bottle he gave after we repeated asked. Coordinator, wife, son, & I moved the heavy tables/ottomans. The drinks didn't taste like our selections. But the worst part was that he started charging our guests upon arrival. My wife & I stepped away to change our clothes. We were there 1.5hrs before start time & Jin never approached us or our coordinator for our card. He also had our itinerary ahead of time and met our coordinator. FYI on top of booking fees, you're also required to use their bar service for ALL drinks alcohol/nonalcohol which is included info on Peerspace. We agreed we'd cover the required minimum of $2500 & once we reached that amount it would turn into a cash bar. Our guests approached us confused about the bar so my wife personally went to Jin & asked why people were being charged, to which he responded "I couldn't find you guys." They immediately include their tip, which we weren't aware of, so drinks totaled to about $2100 w/ the remainder being tax/tip. They continuously ran out of cups & had zero cups for the water dispensers. We were refilling used water bottles to give to the kids. My aunt & cousin were busing tables. Bartenders didn't care to stay quiet or hold drink orders during vows. Every video we have of our vows is them shaking drinks & slamming glassware. There were good things too, kinda. It wasn't communicated to us that the front bathroom was for staff only & we had a outfit change planned, so after first saying no, Jin ended up letting my wife & I use the front bathroom. Also him assisting our DJ resulted in the music going well. It's sadly overshadowed by all the other things that needed improvement. It comes down to a lack of customer service & professional decorum, because the venue itself is beautiful. We gave a final 3 STARS because everything came together. Those missing components are just so vital. A work day for them is literally someone else's most important day that they're choosing and paying to celebrate at Blush.
