I had done walk-in appts with two different LabCorps during the pandemic, so on Tuesday I was in the LA area visiting my parents and figured I'd go to one near me. The first one I went to was closed, but their sign said by appt only. I called a bunch around the LA area that either didn't pick up or said they were not taking walk-ins and no appts available that day. I only needed routine bloodwork and I was beginning to panic because I had to get back to Henderson, NV where I go to school. I had been to this location before, so I called to see if I could come. I asked the person on the phone if they were taking walk-ins and they told me yes and that it wasn't crowded that day. I hustled and when I got there, there were only two people. I was so happy that they could take me! The two people in the front were very pleasant, and kind. My phlebotomist, Katrina, was so nice! Thank you all for taking me on short notice! I promise to make an appt in the future now that I know all locations do it by appt only at this time. read more

The first time I ever actually went to get my blood work done since I was 10. I was in the hospital last week and they took my blood and made it so easy! They also did the way I explained to them from my childhood and worked perfectly because I know my body. My primary sent me to LAB CORP I was helped by a sweet younger nurse but wasn't sure about my viens and asked for a another one. WHICH IS GREAT! I told her what the hospital did and what other nurses have done to me. I have only ever had baby needles done to me due to my thin skin & small viens. She brings the adult needle which I'm not scared of just know It won't work. Helen Nguyen with the short black bob & glasses said "If it hurts that's your fault not mine" Like aren't you the one who's moving the needle and trained for these type of situations? The blood drawn hasn't even started yet! just hearing that made it uneasy due to my previous blood drawns when I was younger. Right when I was ready to finally get over the fear of it, it starts again. That's not how you talk to people who are afraid and explained medical history to you. Teach her how to be more compassionate! My appointment started at 10:45 am at this location. I will be contacting higher ups for this. read more

After reading the negative reviews, I was bit hesitant to come here. But I was pleasantly surprised when I actually went. To address covid-19, they have a system where they text you when they're ready for you. So you can wait in your car safely which is nice. The young lady who drew my blood was amazing! I do not recommend this location. 1: very crowded. Can't just drop in early morning like most places. 2: cleanliness: they have an automated check in machine but I wonder how germ-filled it may be considering the amount of patients that go through this facility. Looked around for sanitizer dispenser but they don't have one. 3: after an hour long wait, the technician wasn't able to get a full vial of blood so I had to wait for another half hour for another technician to take a stab at it. I've had lots of blood tests before and this has never been a problem. Of course it could be me and not an inept technician, but considering all the things I already dislike about this place, I would not come back. The second technician was efficient and professional. The guy and girl receptionists were more concerned with flirting with each other than attending to me. I stood right there waiting patiently, and I was courteous to them when they acknowledged my existence. They were very rude with this attitude of "what do you want?!" I gave them my paperwork. After they saw that I was getting tested for cancer, their demeanor changed. Too late people. It felt like fake and forced niceness. That same rude girl was apparently a phlebotomist unfortunately :-/ ... She was trying to make conversation about my tattoos and whatnot and laughing nervously because she probably knew she f**ked up earlier. Whatever... again it seemed forced. I would give this place zero stars if that were possible based on the two receptionist alone. They are quite possibly the rudest "professionals" I have ever encountered. One has said she wants to shoot herself, twice already and the other said to me, "whatever" when I told her all I've had was coffee today in response to wether or not I was fasting. I was given orders for blood work and my physician suggested Lab Corp. I went to the Fountain Valley location and it was a horrible experience. I still have the bruise from where the technician took my blood and that was 2 weeks ago. The tech lady took out a alcohol swab and hurriedly swabbed my arm one time and then stuck the needle where she hadn't swabbed. I asked her why she didn't clean and swab the entire area and she mumbled something about contamination. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Never again will I go there. read more

This place is horrible. The patients are rude. I took my 90 yrs old father and the place was full and there were younger patients already seated and they didn't even offer my father a seat. I, on the other hand, even though 60 Years young, allowed everyone else to sit down. There was one kind lady who offered her seat to my father. Then my dad wanted go to the restroom and we were inches away and this other old nan cut right in front of him to go to get a urine sample. My dad was very mad. I was shocked. We had to wait for this guy and he was smiling after he came out. I told the man my dad was waiting and so that's why he is mad. The guy acted like he didn't care. Very rude man (patient). I asked a lab technician where I put the urine sample because no one told us when we received the cup where to put it. When she explained it she had an attitude in the way she said it and the expression on her face, a roll of the eyes and like I was stupid or something. This woman was fairly young , heavy set woman that was on duty today (1/8/18) in the morning. Please tell her she has very bad bedside manner. Doesn't she know that we (patients) are paying her salary or wages? How rude!!!!! After that though we had another lab technician who drew my dads blood. She is a kind, Asian woman (petite). She's the best person who draws blood there. During that time of drawing, the other heavy set lab person acted like she wasn't men to me earlier and answered a question our lab tech was asking about. The NERVE IF THAT WOMAN!!! YES I'M PISSED AT THIS PLACE!!!! Maybe go to another LabCorp location for better treatment. Crowded or not, courtesy should always be priority!! read more

I actually went in today last minute, no appointment. I'm really bad with needles so I was very hesitant to even enter the room!!! But I went in and was greeted by two young ladies. They were super nice and professional. They were actually fast, I was the one being slow, I was taking my time filling out the paper work dreading the thought of needles!!! Anyways, I had a great experience here, the lady that did my blood work was really nice and patient! I explained to her that I was terrified of needles and she assured me it won't be too bad, she made me feel comfortable! Long story short I had my eyes closed the whole time! She was gentle and fast! It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be! She stayed in the room with me cause I got all woozy and pale, she even took two trips to get me water!! she wasn't in a hurry and was very kind! I went to Warner branch in oFountain Valley today, a saturday after driving far. I was told they were by appointment only on saturdays ( with 3 techs standing around doing nothing!! hey corporate pay attention!) I told them they dont have any signs besides I drove far to get there. No such luck, they told me to go to La palma which they claimed is open until 12. BUT I could care less, I was a walk in and only waited like two minutes, she drew my blood and it was painless, I didn't feel faint, and NO bruise. I bruise so easily it's ridiculous.
