Tis' the time of year for my annual physical. Not quite my favorite activity lol, nonetheless I got referred to quest to get my labs done. Checking in was a breeze, they have self service kiosks. All questions and directions for a new photo of ID and insurance card were pretty straight forward. I made an appointment for 10:10am and was helped out pretty quickly after my arrival. Appointments are available to make online, walk-ins are welcome but there will usually be an extended wait. Blood draws haven't always been easy for me, but over the years I've been able to hop that mental hurdle. Even then, my heart always beats a little bit faster when I enter a lab. I was greeted and helped by Samantha, a most kind human and wonderful phlebotomist. I think she could sense my nervousness and kept the conversations flowing. She answered all my questions and was super patient. Most importantly she didn't hurt me and she got me on first poke. YAY! My doctor had requested a blood draw and a urinalysis. I recieved an email that my general labs were ready next day. Quite quickly, especially when they average 2-5 days! I did have a specialty/genetics test that promised results in 2 weeks or more. I recieved them right in the 14 day mark! I appreciate the punctuality! From my experience, this is my favorite lab to go to when I need my labs ran. Will be back! Side note, as of right now (April 2026) they are re-doing the parking lot, adding solar panels and coverings. I'm assuming the project goes into the fall. Parking has been crazy. My primary care doctor and women's health doctor share the same lot, it has not been fun trying to park. I'd come at least 15 minutes early! read more

Horrible experience, again at Quest Lab, on 18785 Brookhurst street suite 103, with Brooks phlebotomist. 1)Asked for her name, her answer was " It is not your business " 2) asked for a bottle of hand sanitizer to be place next to the kiosk, where every one is signing in , her response was " call my supervisor " 3) She is rude, disrespectful, insulting to the customers. I hope and pray that Yolanda, the supervisor, and the corporation will take time to educate her how to treat a customer. Every one is replaceable. No customers , no job. read more

Brought my little ones in for lab work today. I highly recommend scheduling your appointment through the app it was quick and easy. Krista, the phlebotomist, was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. My kids were so happy with how sweet she was! I still haven't been in, and it's 20 minutes past my appointment time. When I brought it up (because I HAVE to get back to work), the lab tech was very rude to me. No other Quest lab is like this. Every other one I've been to has been punctual and very friendly. This is my second time here, and both times have been a disaster. I will have to leave. I can't have chemo without this blood test, but I can't leave my students waiting outside my classroom. This place is awful. They give Quest a bad name. read more

Closing at 3:30 PM is already a hassle to make work with a normal working schedule, so I got off work early to show up as a walk-in appointment. Quest diagnostics takes appointments all the way up until 3:20 PM and when I showed up I sat in the waiting room after I checked in just for one of the workers to come out and say it is too late for them to see me explaining that it takes over 30 minutes to do a blood test. This is not my first time doing a blood test and I know they were more than capable of seeing me and just wanted to close early because no patients were there. It is very frustrating when I try to set aside time for medical appointments and I'm still not seen. Please do better by your customers. read more

Great experience here. I didn't catch the name of the phlebotomist that drew my sample but she was very kind and made the whole process easy and quick. It was completely painless. I had an appointment and waited only 3-4 mins in the lobby before I was called back. I'm used to go to Labcorp where you wait over 30-40 mins even with an appointment. Everyone was very nice and helpful here. I will definitely be returning here for any future labs! read more

Terrible office Fountain Valley Warner/Euclid. My phlebotomist was terrible. He did not use a 2 process identification. He did not wash hands between patient handling and blood draws did not follow proper hand hygiene He would not wash his hands between touching other patients urine samples, he was using the keyboard, touching door knobs, shaking hands with people in between trying to work with me, and when I asked him to wash his hands, he got indignant. Not crazy about the check in process but the person ( I think Kathryn) who took my blood and added my secondary insurance was really nice and competent-that's not my issue. Today, a Saturday, I get an email saying my results are ready ( just an allergy test). I go on the email, log into my account , they send me a text code from my phone which I enter, then they want to photograph my drivers license front and back and then take a selfie. After trying four times they said couldn't establish my identity. Are you for real-you sent me an email and a text from my phone and I logged into my account but you don't know it's me?? My Chart is never, I mean never, like this and I've never had a problem getting results from them. And of course it's Saturday so I can't get anyone on the phone. read more

I made an appointment to get my blood drawn during my lunch break, since this is just two minutes from my work. First, there is no receptionist or anyone to talk to in the waiting room. You just have to check in on the iPad and sit down. In the time that I was there, a few patients exited, but no workers ever came out to call anyone back. . I waited for over 20 minutes before I went to knock on the door to ask if I would be seen soon because, one, I had to get back to work, and two, I also had to give a urine sample and I've been waiting for a long time. The woman who answered told me I just needed to check in and wait. I explained I had to get back to work soon, and she said "everyone has lots of things to do." 'Jackie' should not be allowed to work with patients or vulnerable people. She displays a chilling creepy lack of empathy and it seemed she had an urge to be rough and aggressive when performing a simple blood draw on my senior mother. Among other notable displays, Jackie raised her voice aggressively at my mom simply because she added an unneeded date with her signature on a form. I hate to think how Jackie is with elderly or vulnerable people who aren't accompanied by anyone. Avoid this location. Absolutely no one works in the front, you're just left to check in and ASSUME THEY HAVE THE TEST YOU NEED. I've been to 4 DIFFERENT QUESTs and NO ONE has the test I need. They all tell me to go to a specific location and I arrive there, I'm FORCED to make an appointment and when they call someone back I interrupt them to ask if they have the test I need to which they all replied NO! What the hell??? Not even their annoying phone number can help because it'll all automated. Not even their website can tell me if they offer it. Absolutely do not recommend. read more

This place is a hit and miss. You get employees who take pride in their work and listen to patients and those that don't give a shit. Asked if they were experience in taking blood ,there response not really. So first time I go, they stick the needle to draw blood 3 times and can't find the vein. Now I pissed . Walked out and went somewhere else where they got it right the 1st time.... Beware, if you have a bad feeling, always walk away....... I always go to the FV branch because it is on the way to my work and the guy who used to draw my blood was realy good but lately I dont see him anymore. Short Asian lady who drew my blood the last two times was not that good. She was okay while doing it but later on, the cotton was soaked in blood. This is the second time except this time even my sleeve had blood stains. Who bleeds this much after a blood test? I also had a purple bruise that lasted 3 days. If I could I'd give negative stars for the heavy set lady working at the front. She's the one with the fake lashes and fake nails. Sooooo rude and disrespectful. Clearly she hates her life and job. My 5 year old who was there for blood work even said "wow mommy why is that lady looking and sounding so angry" But the smaller lady was extremely helpful and nice especially to my 5 year old. First impression when I walked in and saw "sign in on the ipad," was Wow so high tech. Well, it's only good for younger generations, not so much for the older generation. I prefer pen and paper because it's faster than going through windows just to sign in my name. When it's my turn, I was horrified to see 2 empty vials in the tray. The lady told me, "that's not all, your Dr. ordered a lot." She started dumping more empty blood vials into the tray. At this point I was freaking out--to me 3 vials are already a lot. The thought of filling up a whole pile of vials with my blood didn't seem very entertaining to a person who's scared of needles. Anyways, she was very good. I only felt a pinch at the beginning, then she distracted me by talking to me while she swiftly withdrew 9 vials of blood. By the time she finished, I saw so many filled vials in the tray. I didn't ask for her name but she's a Vietnamese phlebotomist with long hair. So if you have to withdraw that many vials on your next visit, try to ask for her. read more

As someone who's been to a lot of different quests from the SFV to LA to OC, this is hands down my favorite!! All the workers were very nice and accommodating because I told them I usually get poked multiple times and faint. All it took was one poke for my blood work and I left very happy (and didn't faint! Lol). I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews at this location but I will be coming to this one from now on. read more

A notice for a follow up labwork from the Dr. Office led me to try out this Quest Diagnostics location. Parking may be a hassle. But it is plentiful and the big building is easy to find as well as navigate to the Quest DIAGNOSTIC LAB. I got a warm fuzzy feeling from the lovely missus that I should give this location a try as she has had good experience. Yes in todays Covid-19 pandemic or really anytime you have to do a visit to Quest Diagnostic, you MUST make an appointment. It takes away all the grief when you just willy nilly show up as a walk in. So with my appointment papers and the important barcode, I walk into a spotlessly clean office. I was greeted with a big smile. I had to wait a few minutes to check in as another patient was having difficulty. No worries, as soon as I checked in, I was called in by Sabrina. She will be using my left arm at the inside elbow and take several vials. One more specimen and I was done within 15 minutes of arrival. No pain, no lingering edemas, no stiffness or muscle cramps. Thank you much to this Quest Diagnostic location. I must agree with the lovely missus, a very Nice and Friendly staff made my visit a good one today. I look forward to the lab results. read more

We have been to all the Quest Diagnostics everywhere and this one is the worst. My husband made the appointment for me n accidentally clicked on this location. I had an appointment n usually you just walked in, the room was full of sick people. After 15 min I got agitated but was told to wait, we waited another 15 min, this was unacceptable I told the receptionist I have an eye infection n needed to go home, I felt sick, I was talking to my knees. Finally I got in at 30 min later. I was going to rate this 2 stars. Yet somebody should hold them accountable, the bathroom had no soap, what kind of lab have no soap? People had to get their urine sample n get their hands dirty. Later when I was finished there still was no soap, the Woman just left for lunch n didn't do her job. I'll never go back here again. Clean facility and professional staffs. I came here twice for blood work during my pregnancy and both experiences were as pleasant as getting blood drawn can be. Had blood order sent to this office quest diagnostic Fountain Valley by fax 6/28 by Friday 7/2 they claim there's nothing. Yes off course look in Monday's orders but the front office lady was lazy or there not organized who ever gets the fax papers should put on the system so there's no issues or save in something we call folders. The lady was rude and didn't like that we had no paper work. They need to be more organized and less rude to people if they don't like there job quit there's many that are friendly and eager to work. This one star for 2 lady working at the front office at 11180 Warner Ave. Fountain Valley. We have appointment for my daughter at 7.35 am but test need to be done at 8 am because doctor give some type of test. She need to take the medication at 11 pm and have the test at 8 am. That is what doctor says. Also at the pharmacy, pharmacist said the same thing while we are taking this medication. We go little early because Quest online appointments was available for 7.45 am or 8.15 am. I decided to go early one so we can wait their instead of being late. Also doctor ordered another test directly to them. For time sensitive test I have paperwork but second test was ordered in their system and I get email for that from Quest last week. When I told the first lady on front there is another test ordered to Quest she didn't want to look at her computer to see if there is any. She said I will do only on paper you give me. When I refused that and tell her repeatedly than she said "yes I will but I have another thing on my computer I will check later". Actually I had two different order in my hand and one come last week. But I wasn't sure if two papers belong to same test or one different. I asked her. She said I don't know I'm not doctor. Also I tell her it is time sensitive test and want to show her proof for that. She said rudely "Ok Mam go seat down and wait" This time another lady call us at the front. Again she refused to look at the system and refused it is time sensitive. I tried to show her the prescription for proof. It was mentioning. She refuse to read. There was still 15 minutes. I said at least call us at 8am. We will wait. She said "mam would you seat and wait". I asked her if this two paper for same test. She said no. One is for different one. Finally I get my answer form one of them. Than they call us at 7.50 am to make test like we didn't already talk about it. We said again it is time sensitive. She did say with attitude "OK go seat down". It is like kindergarten and we are their students. We begin to wait 8 am. But 8 am they didn't call because they don't care if it is time sensitive. There wasn't other patient they are busy with. Just they didn't checked the time. We ended up reminding them and we said It is 8.02 am. She said ok and take the blood. They have huge rude attitudes and not care. This both test need to be done and very important test and need to be ready for our doctor appointment on time which we waited for over 2 months. But If we didn't force them they will miss one and make other one in wrong time. This is not a grocery store. It is about health. I have to admit. Many times I go there people work front and back was extremely nice and helpful. Something wrong with these 2 people. Quest managers. If you read this and want to do something about it. A guy finally came out and spoke to me like I've never used an iPad. I dont there's a manager or supervisor working. Worst customer service. Communication in healthcare is so vital for establishing trust. The communication here is condescending, insensitive and unclear. You will get snapped at at reception with no apology. They speak rapidly and bark at you. Very condescending. Unfortunately, we had no other option as this one had the only available appointments and I can see why. If you can, try to schedule your appointment early and find another lab as this one should be avoided at all costs. read more

My husband had two blood tests orders from our doctor. He realized at home the nurse only took samples for red blood cells test, and they never performed the other test ordered. Apparently the receptionist never handled the other order to the nurse so it got lost. That's unacceptable and irresponsable. We won't schedule our tests here again. read more
