I have been to a few Quest Diagnostic Labs. It's always a pleasure because they take appointments and very punctual about servicing their patients. It is a very clean lab and the staff can handle a number of different services, from blood tests, taking x-rays and take blood samples. The staff is an expert in drawing blood samples and my experience has been they are quick and pain free in whatever they are called upon to do. The staff is also very pleasant. Their lab is immaculately clean. I go in every year, sometimes a few times a year for a variety of reasons. I have gone to Quest for many years and would not go elsewhere unless they no longer service my area. read more

READ AND BE CAREFUL THAT THEY DONT DRAW THE WRONG LABS OR MIX YOU UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND CHARGE YOU FOR IT!! Terrible customer service. Be careful and make sure that they are not confusing your labs with another person. Also make sure that they are inputting the correct labs that is ordered by your physician. My dad gets labs every 2-3 months ordered by his oncologist. Appts with the doctors are already hard to get and it was frustrating when we went to the doctors appt only to find out that Quest drew the completely wrong labs. We went to speak to this Quest about it and they were not accountable for their actions at all. They said they only type in the labs that were ordered on the paper, they aren't allowed to do anything else. Well, we have the original lab order paper and the lab they drew wasn't even part of the order. So it's either they mixed up my dad with someone else or they ordered the wrong lab. (Scary) It delayed the care of my father. Now I'm on hold with the billing department which takes forever of course. Also the female who was helping me today (12/13/21) when I was trying to address this issue was condescending. She does show any empathy or understanding as to why patients like my father need accurate labs. We came at 9:15 am and she was working the desk and was indian. read more

Terrible customer service from the lead/management (I believe his name is Ken). Every time I've been in he's been rude. Just sounds like he really hates his job. FYI, their physical office does not even have the ability to schedule you an appointment. All appointments have to be made online or by calling Quest. Also, they have a wait time screen but the staff has informed me that it is not even close to accurate. For example, I am a walk-in and it said my wait time would be 13 minutes. The lead, Ken, has informed me that it will be at least an hour until it's my turn -__- Also, I am currently pregnant, and he asked me to give up my seat so that patients with appointments could sit. Additional seating is available downstairs so, I go downstairs to wait. A few minutes later, I get a text saying that it is now my turn -__- Regardless if I am a walk-in or have an appointment, I am a patient, and everyone should have equal opportunity to be able to wait inside of their office. read more

On January 26th, I had some Blood drawn at the 9900 Talbert Quest Diagnostics location. Once the Nurse inserted the Needle, she started rotating the Needle and cause great pain. Just left and had a great experience. I had an appointment at another location for later in the day, but I ended up getting out of my doctors appointment early so decided to try a walk in. The man up front was very nice and super helpful. My phlebotomist was super gentle, especially dealing with my small veins, it's always hard to find one on me, but she did a great job with barely a pinch. I'm always nervous going in, so my heart was racing and by the 4th vile I felt I was going to pass out. She stopped and knew exactly how to take care of me. That was a first as I've never blacked out but (also haven't had this many viles requested before) and she got me right back to feeling better. My doctor ordered a routine lab testing at either this location or the Brookhurst location. Obviously I chose the former, and my 1st visit here on a Friday morning -- 30 minutes before the lab even opened -- was both good and could-be-much-better. Positive notes included the straightforwardness and minimal friendliness of my lab technician. She made sure the information about me was correct, and thankfully she pointed out to her coworkers that my gender was the opposite, and so they had to promptly correct it before actually drawing my blood. Plus, the technician assuaged me to take some deep breaths while they take some of the O positives out of me. Of course I experienced a few drawbacks -- no pun intended. The patient line setup to fill out patient info electronically was confusing. Signing up myself was a breeze for me since I observed other patients in front of me signing in; not that I snooped on their info, it's about looking at the buttons on the screen. Still, a lot of patients traditionally had the mindset to walk straight to a receptionist to check-in. Unfortunately the only front staff member during the 1st 30 minutes of opening time on Friday initially had unfriendly behavior and was not very helpful in directing these already confused patients by just pointing and saying "Just sign in there." Because of this I was actually more understanding on why I was seen almost an hour later, in spite of arriving as early as I could before they officially opened. I think the smallest change they could take into account is to have a sign (with multiple languages) mounted on a wall and have it literally point to check in on the electronic pad. Hopefully on my 2nd visit there will be a couple more workers present to make their workflow system more efficient and more easygoing. read more

Pleasantly surprised! Receptionist was friendly and discreet when confirming my personal info. Technician quickly and painlessly found my baby veins, which just absolutely made my day Hours later and my arm doesn't hurt & no bruises! -Lots of parking in front and across the street -Clean with lots of natural light -TV with names & wait times. Brand new location on the 2nd floor of Edinger Medical (which is on Talbert... strange). Unlike previous suite on the same floor you don't have to sit in the hallway waiting and then get your blood drawn in a communal area with other patients. Now it's a big waiting room with tons of seating and private rooms. Employees were very friendly while collecting my fluids. Get stuck in the arm with a needle..... piss in a cup..... be on your way. I like Quest for when you have to do the unpleasant necessary lab work we must all face from time to time. I find them efficient and friendly. The newer location and enlarged waiting room that seats 30 rather than 4 is a HUGE improvement. I would give 5 starrs except I can't. I have had to ask an emplyee to change gloves and wash hands more than once - same employee. As a health professional - I can't live with that. I suggest coming early - they open at 8am, and they will start promptly working their way through the walk-ins. read more

I usually have an appointment but not today due to the emergency, I feel she just did not care. The room was like an icebox I feel sicker as my condition worsened. I got another blood draw from a different location the day after and it was painless with no bruising. I had a routine lab draw that needed to be done before a doctor's appointment. I've been to quite a few Quest Diagnostics in my time. I have to say this location is great. Whereby other locations had long lines, this location seemed to be well run, quick and efficient. This location can be found on the second floor of the 9900 building. It is next to Orange Memorial. I set up a same day appointment via the Quest App and off I went. I arrived and was greeted with a warm and friendly receptionist/technician: Lilia. She informed me what time I arrived for my sign in, requested my doctor's orders and insurance card and quickly had me checked in. She was cordial, polite and greeted me with a smile. She treated the other patients also awaiting for their procedure with the same amount of professionalism. She's awesome. My name my called, another technician brought me back, explained the procedure and checked for the correct info. Any and all questions I had were answered. I'm not afraid of needles but I could tell these people were professionals: I didn't feel a thing. Afterwards I gathered up my belongings, and on my way out Lilia made sure all my questions were answered. I am impressed with the level of service I was provided, the fantastic receptionist and very happy with the Quest App that seems to have streamlined the whole lab work process. Receptionist was super friendly!!! As well as my phlebotomist Vicky/Vickie. I went to the Brookhurst and McFadden one before and the service and staff was not something I wanted to deal with again so I made an appt at this location, walked in had a friendly convo with Vickie and the receptionist which made the visit cozy. Vicky took my blood and sent me on my way. The whole interaction took about 15 min...love a fast one cause u got things to do too yaknow! Vicky had no problem finding a vein and taking my blood. Got blood drawn here. PARKING: Typically difficult to find a space, which I keep forgetting about. You may need to circle around 1-2 times. SERVICE: OK. The staff and phlebotomist were actually nicer than the last time. I've been here once before. HYGIENE: The phlebotomist did not wash his hands once in my presence. He typed on the computer, fiddled with paperwork and wrote with a pen, then fished for some gloves that were stuffed in the pocket of his gown. He then placed a piece of tape that would be later used for my puncture wound on the armrest of the chair, where everyone places their arms. He later laid the piece of gauze that would be placed directly over the wound on the same arm rest. I don't know if he sterilized the arm rest before I walked in. It was the first time I've ever been concerned about hygiene and safety when getting blood drawn. I don't know why I didn't just up and leave. VERDICT: No más. Next time, I'll just get my blood drawn at my doctor's office. read more

Why is it every quest takes a minimum of one hour.. the place is cleaner then the others, but to sit here for one hour is crazy.. people go back after 45 minutes of waiting and come out in 3 min, and next person is 20 mins later.. I get there is paper work but people shouldn't have to wait this long.. this seems to be every quest place.. long story if you have time to wait make sure your phone is fully charged to watch a movie cause you will be here at least an hr. read more

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT PEOPLE! I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. There were about 10 people in the waiting area (I'm assuming all walk ins) when I checked in and probably 2 of them had there turn while I was there, then my name was called and I saw a lot of puzzled looks and side eye. Sorry guys! Make an appt next time. I made mine the night before even. All Quest/lab places are all the same. The people aren't cheery bcuz it's just so busy and they hardly get any breaks and they are dealing with upset people all day. My tech was great. read more

I took my mom for blood test in Quest Lab on 10/29/19 at 10 am. I check in for her in computer beyond one receptionist in stand. She said ok and ask me and my mom find seats to wait. After one and half hour waiting I came back to ask the receptionist why waiting so long, she said that my mom not in the list??? Then she asked me to check in again. This lab is not good customer service and receptionist is not professional. I don't recommend to my friends and my family.. I will ask my mom's family doctor to find another place. read more

I visited this location for a self-admitted Men's Health Screening (non-fasting blood and urine test). I setup an account, paid for the test, and made my appointment all online. I arrived just a couple minutes before my appointment time and was able to check in by scanning my QR code from the appointment confirmation email. Very easy and convenient! Amanda was able to pull up my account and prepare my file for the test I ordered and said to have a seat and it would just be a moment. Within a minute or two, she called my name and I went back for testing. The facility was very clean and organized. Amanda was very friendly, kind, gentle, and helpful. I went to quest about a month ago for a blood test for my daughter and they forgot to do 2 tests. I returned without complaining. When I arrived my daughter was very nervous about getting another blood test. I moved a chair to sit next to her to hold her hand. I was told I cannot move the chair and had to sit 6 feet from my daughter. I said I would move the chair back when they called me. They told me that they would refuse service if I did not sit away from my daughter. After about 20 minutes the man came from the back and said he would help me and ran the blood test. Horrible that they would refuse a blood test because I moved a chair to sit next to my daughter. read more

The most horrible place. The staff is VERY rude and very slow and could care less about customer service. It's unfortunate that Quest is a large company and that they allow this behavior in thier employees. When I asked about how long before I could expect to be seen - the very sarcastic answer was "I don't know". When again I asked for an average time she said " if you have to have an answer, then assume an hour". At those point, I had already been there for 45mins. There were 2 persons ahead of me when I walked in. They finally took me at the one hour and 15 min mark. If there was a reason why it took so long, they didn't feel compelled to share that with myself or others waiting. I have to admit they were equally RUDE to all, not just me. So disappointed that people don't value their jobs and understand the benefit of customer service. read more

Do not use this lab. They apparently lost my samples. They did not respond to in person, phone and email inquiries about my samples. They kept me on hold for a long time and could not answer my questions about the status of my samples. They said they would call me back but never did. I wound up having to go to another lab to have more blood drawn. Very inconvenient and maddening. read more

I was referred here after I had my first ultrasound for my baby. It's right next door to my obgyn's office so it was convenient. Although appointments are unnecessary, I recommend you book one, otherwise it's first come first serve and it might take a good minute. I went in on a Monday and was able to book a Thursday morning appointment. Once the appointment is set, you are called at your time, or close to. Super pleased with that. On my first trimester blood work, I had the pleasure to have Yolanda. She is super nice and tries to keep your mind off of the situation. She showed me all that she labeled and she even explained the tests I was taking. (First child on the way, so it can be frightening.) Anyway, I was pleased and I most likely will be coming here a bit often until my due date. Thanks Yolanda for everything. Hopefully see you soon. read more

Ahhhhhmazing!!! I have been to a couple of Quest locations and this one is BY FAR the nicest one that I have been in. The seating / waiting area is huge, clean, and well lit. The people that work the front counter aren't just courteous, they are actually NICE and patient and funny!! There is even VALET PARKING - what?!?!?!?! you ask.... Yes, you can valet park for free at this location. Wait times seem long even if they aren't busy, but I think that maybe a Quest thing and not the fault of this individual location. If I have to feel like a criminal to get my routine / surprise / for my job / mandatory drug testing done, at least I can feel like a criminal with valet parking, nice seats, and a quiet waiting room!! read more

The staffs are not friendly and they don't know enough how to handle between the appointment and walk-in. The place was chaotic took their time to check patients in. Then, towards before closing time for lunch, they rushed the check-in process due to there were still lots of people left before 12:30 lunch break. I was one of those part of the rush process. Well, I've apparently become a tougher draw. So much so Lena hates to see me coming and doesn't want to draw my blood anymore. The one reliable vein she found is now gone due to iron infusions. It's much more hit and mss for me know and I really need to find a vein whisperer for my twice yearly labs that require multiple vials. To be fair, if you have normal veins they are just fine. Occasionally they can be brusque at the front desk but waits are reasonable even when you don't have an appointment. read more
