Had a bad experience while there and after. 2 techs stood outside of room where I waited for 10 minutes while they gossiped about another coworker. They knew I was there because one of the tech walked by a couple times and saw me. I provided urine sample (staff member saw me set it down after I asked her where to put it) and yet somehow it wasn't provided to whoever runs the testing. Report says "sample not provided". They took 3 vials of blood, yet, report says "Not enough sample was provided". They were routine lab tests, nothing fancy and yet they didn't have enough blood to run more than a couple of tests?? They were disorganized and unprofessional. No one from Labcorp has contacted me about their mess up. I had to find out from reading the report. I had to go on my day off because you never know how long you will have to wait and if you want to schedule an appointment you are looking at a month or more wait. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to go get blood taken again because I have to waste another day off. As I was explaining to my provider what happened, she they happened to be taking my blood pressure which ended up being elevated. I'm going to have to go to a different Labcorp further away from me because I no longer trust the San Marcos one. read more

I'm sorry to see that LabCorp has a poor review, not realizing that the reviews were from locations other than Poway. Been going to this clinic for years now and I have no regrets. The staff, from the Front Desk to the Phlebotomists, are just wonderful- pleasant, patient, understanding, efficient and hard working. No matter what time, they always ha a smile on their faces. There were irate patients, for whatever reason, but the staff handled them respectfully not rude or anything. Since I am hard stick and used to Ann drawing my blood, I always asked for her and that was not even an issue to the other Phlebotomist. They'd say, "Of course, no problem!" read more

Had order from out of state physician faxed to them and appointment made. Front desk was extremely rude. Made me wait because they couldn't find this physician in their system. Front desk employees were not very professional, they spent almost an hour trying to find the correct code for a particular test to process to my daughter's insurance. At no time did they apologize, we had to approach the counter to find out the status. When I approached the counter one last time to ask the status the employee told me that she would have to wait for her coworker to return from the restroom to find out. Very unprofessional staff and will hopefully never have to go to that location again. In case these are reviewed by the company todays date of the is 8/16/24. read more

I like this location it's really not bad at least you get to wait outside the line is very long. It's only by appointment only now and make sure you check the hours because they keep changing them. Hopefully things will get better with LabCorp and run a little smoother in the future but I do like this location. read more

Avoid if you can. I personally always get my bloodwork done at Scripps and it's amazing. I've never had an issue. However, with the hack, and the Scripps system being down, my doctor sent me to Labcorp. I showed up 15 min early for my appt and then noticed my appt had been scheduled for the wrong day when I tried to sign in online. This was especially problematic because I am 24 weeks pregnant and need a test done at exactly 24 weeks. When I looked online, I couldn't make an appt for other lab corps for a month. I tried to talk to the receptionist (who kept taking off her mask) and was told to just sign in as a walk in. Ok, well I did that and they didn't tell me how long a wait it would be or even confirmed I was in the system. I felt extremely uncomfortable with their waiting room situation. Due to covid, most people were waiting in their cars (thank GOD because the waiting room is like the size of a closet). However, there were still quite a few people in there. That, and when I went to sign in/talk to the receptionist people crammed themselves in to wait inline. As a pregnant person, I am at a much higher risk of getting COVID (and yea I have been vaccinated, and yes my doctor still thinks I am at risk). I was extremely, extremely uncomfortable in this setting. It's like they've tried to make their whole process automated, but that doesn't always work--especially during a pandemic! I got sick of waiting considering I had no idea how long the wait time would be so I ended up leaving and driving all of the way to Encinitas to talk to my doctor and get my blood drawn there! read more

Shame on LABCORP! HIRE SOME PEOPLE! Showed up at 11:57 and was told in no uncertain terms YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. AND I WAS TOLD YOU KNOW THIS SINCE YOU COME IN WITH YOUR DAD (pointing to a sign). Well, I didn't know! And we hadn't been there for a few months. There is only one person working at this location and no walk-in's are allowed anymore. I called corporate and somebody forgot to tell them! Made an appointment on the LabCorp website. Even received an email reminder from LabCorp regarding the appointment. Took time off work to go to the appointment and THE LOCATION IS CLOSED. Why allow us to make appointments and even send confirmations and reminders if you're going to be closed? Very sloppy and unprofessional. read more

Chaotic. Max 3 ppl allowed inside the waiting area, causing people to gather outside due to COVID19. The ppl waiting outside are a mixture of ppl waiting to check-in and waiting to be called for their appointments. No instructions are posted outside to let you know what to do. Staff on the inside shout out the name of the patient up for their lab work. Did I mention that the team insists on keeping the door closed so it's impossible to hear names that are shouted? My co-waitees that have booked appointment times seem to be running late. Right now, a patient (!!!) in the waiting room has taken it upon herself (because the LabCorp staff isn't) to open the door and call the names of patients up for their lab work. The team members seem to dislike each other and are rude to the patients. If the customer-facing part of this LabCorp facility is this disorganized and chaotic, I don't think I want to know what the sample handling "behinds the scenes" is like. read more

This was the most unprofessional lab office I have ever been to. The lack of training, professionalism and communication at this lab was despicable. First, when I checked in for my appointment, they said I did not have an order and did not know why I was there. I explained why I was there and the person at the desk looked into my file further and found the documents for the reasons of my appointment. I am a donor, so I needed blood to be drawn in order to start the process to donate stem cells for a patient I have matched with. A literal life and death situation. The person at the front desk went to ask for help because she did not know what the next steps were for me and the other two lab workers didn't neither. So the front desk person mentioned she didn't want to call her boss again to ask because she had already called her about a different question. She then explains the reason for that call. I can hear this conversation while I am waiting at the front desk. So then, one of the other lab workers calls the boss. After the call they tell me they did not receive the kit needed from the donor company I am working with to draw blood. So I call the company and they told me the kit was delivered the previous day. So, the lab workers went to go look in the back, but are not able to find the kit. Next, they told me it must've been sent to their other location that was 5 minute away and suggested I go over there instead. I realized after the fact they should've called the other location first, but I just wanted to get this done. (This kit is specifically needed for my blood work. They cannot use whatever materials they have). Also, I left work to do this. So, I drive to the other location. The girl at that front desk had already been on the phone with the other lab and was certain the package was indeed delivered to the first lab because she saw it herself working at that lab the previous day. She got back on the phone and was telling the tech on the phone where the kit was located, even using video call. And still they were not able to find it. It was a complete waste of my time and the person waiting for my donation who is fighting cancers time. I did not want to drive back and waste more time because after several minutes they still were not able to find my specific kit. I almost wanted to look for them, and probably would have found it. I then had to reschedule for later in the week at a different location. I would suggest this office highly communicate when this type of appointment comes up. Let everyone in the office know where the kit will be. They need to do better! read more

Wow so quick. I was on time for my appointment and was called in to draw blood in 5 mins! The process was quick and it was just a small sting. It's pretty much like bam bam bam, done, out the door! The technician was also very skillful and it was just a small sting. She probably has done this 50 times a day given that it's pretty crowded when I went in there at 8 am. They do take walk-ins I believe but it's much better to schedule online if it's not urgent. The waiting room was quite small with only about 8 chairs. Had to get routine lab work done and chose this location because I had other errands near. All the associates were SUPER nice. One left his desk to help an elderly woman check in on the kiosk because he saw her struggling and another actually cleaned the restroom before I went in! I've been twice in the last month - staff was terrible both times. Small waiting room with more people than allowed (per sign) and even if you wait outside you have to go thru that jammed area. Staff basically yelled at myself and another gentleman waiting outside because we did not come when she Texted us. I know I did NOT enter a cell number in the section at checkin screen in waiting area, because I did not bring my phone - funny thing was text arrived to come inside about 3 hours later on my cell at home. Sign said they disinfect after each patient, but I saw no disinfecting going on and I was watching for it... be careful going to this site during covid. Well the nice thing was I went online to make my appointment so when I got there they were closed with an A/C issue and they didn't bother to call their clients to tell them they were going to be closed BAD SERVICE plus the place looked like a dump just like other people said . I went over to the Vista location and they were very nice and took me right away. San Marcos location should learn from this office in Vista So don't waste your time in San Marcos as Vista Labcorp is only 10 minutes away read more

I scheduled an appointment online this morning about 50 minutes before I arrived there. I had been pleased that an appointment was available on short notice. Upon arrival the door was locked and a sign posted saying temporarily closed. One shouldn't need to call and confirm, but that's what I'd suggest if you have no other choice but to use labcorp. Fortunately my insurance has some flexibility. Tried to reschedule online and the website just keeps hiding the patient login button. Even if I could login, I'd have to login twice due to the shit job Labcorp's developers did with single sign on. Heads up: You can't really see this place from the street. Impressions: It doesn't feel dirty, but it is really small and it doesn't really feel the way I would expect a lab to feel. It feels like it hasn't been updated or renovated in too long. Environment: The people sitting in the lobby were really low class. They complained passively about how long it takes. The staff had no control over that of course, but it was really uncomfortable to be around. Service: The service was fine. The aids working there were polite, and processed me as quickly as they seemed to be able to. There were a lot of people there, but it appeared to go in order. Unbelievably very unprofessional staff and medical and customer service skills are below zero! My appointment was scheduled for 3:15pm at LabCorp office in Gainesville Ga! I arrived at 3:01pm , signed in and then waited for over 25min! They didn't even try to call me in till I said that I have to be somewhere else at 4pm. After that short conversation one of them grabbed lab order from my hands and she told me to take a seat...didn't even verify my DOB nor my name...one of them just asked me if I was fasting...they didn't even try to apologize!!! I found the place clean, staff friendly and helpful, and the service was quick and professional. Plenty of parking close to the office. Grade F. Shocked this lab is filthy. Cabinets, drawers gray with grime. The bathroom not acceptable. The toilet liner protectant is out side of the entry door. It was hanging on a wall with push pins. The toilet seat was stained or who knows with what. There was no soap to wash your hands and no trash can. Please find another lab. The girls at the front were SO RUDE! One of them looked like a stripper in scrubs. They continued to discuss amongst themselves how annoying it is that I came in at 4:30 when the place closes at 5. Today was my first visit to this Lab and I was so impressed with the speed in which they processed my new patient check - in, as well as the professionalism the staff portrayed. I have found the right Lab for me at last! By the way, I did not have an appointment and I took a book with me because I thought that there would be a long wait. Our experience was so unprofessional it was shocking. There was only one other client in the waiting area. The staff had turned the waiting room television to face the reception desk and they were so engrossed in the Jackie Chan movie that they could hardly be troubled to acknowledge clients. My husband stood there a while proffering payment. And when at last they accepted his credit card from his hand, they didn't immediately process it, but rather enjoyed a few more seconds of the movie. What happened to music and magazines. At least if the staff is wasting time it is more subtle. Later when I returned to pick up his results (with his written consent), the staff brusquely informed me they NEVER give results to patients, only to the doctor. When I asked to confirm which doctor the forwarded the results to (i am sick of the circus of administrative errors that waste so much of my time), she rudely inquired "You don't KNOW who your doctor is?!?" Seriously, send your staff for some training or get new management. And why in the world would it be policy not to release results to a client who paid for the labs in the first place? Ridiculous. By far the best place to get your labwork done. I've seen Theresa and Jacqueline. Both are amazing. I didn't even know they were taking my blood. In fact, when Jacqueline did it, I literally could not feel a thing. The most I have ever waited is maybe 5 minutes and I go during the lunch hour when there should be a long wait! Totally recommend this place and while I don't want to have to give blood often, I would truly have no problem doing it here. read more

the staff here are nice. the waiting room is smaller compared to another lab corp I've been to but I've kept coming back here since. I know in general labs take a long time to wait for if you dont have an appt. all it matters to me is that the staff are nice and skilled to draw your blood. I'll keep coming back here just for those 2 reasons alone. The last time I came here I didnt have an appt, bec their appts were booked solid and my doc wanted the results sooner. their operation seems to run more smoothly than the other site I've been to read more
