Clean, efficient and timely - Josh drew my labs was great. Had an 1145am appointment and was out 1152am.

Today I had an appt for labs & urine test. When I was brought in for my appt, I asked to give my urine sample first because I was drinking fluids all morning & no bathroom break. Completed. Then Tech proceeded to draw my blood, had poor technique, insertion hurt, then tech moved the needle around creating more discomfort so I commented that this hurt. She stopped and proceeded to the other arm with all the same difficulty & discomfort. When she withdrew the needle each time, I noticed that she did not have a sample. Her comment was that I was probably dehydrated. I assured her that I was drinking fluids all morning, appt was @1:45pm. She asked if I wanted someone else to try. I left with cotton & bandages on both arms. I will go to a different location with an appt tomorrow. Strange, the Tech usually tells me that I have great veins and the draw is easy. read more

Very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of patient care. While busyness and large number of clients is understandably overwhelming, the lack of personal care for patients is astounding. My partner has a well recorded history of passing out while getting g blood drawn. And while that is not the phlebotomist's responsibility, my partner did vocalize their history and asked to lay down. s However, they still had to moved to an upright chair, subsequently passing out and spoiling themselves. This could easily been avoided if the phlebotomist simply listens to the request to lay down. Again, accidents happen and things can be busy and overwhelming, but there's no excuse for not the lack of care. We will not go back to this location. read more

This place is awful. Why even allow walk ins if you're not actually able to accommodate them. The Oceanside location is much more transparent and will allow you to leave and come back when wait times are over 3 hours. This shouldn't be the only location available on the weekend, it's not well equipped for a large queue. read more

To start with the office experience is poor, you are not greeted or welcomed simply told to take a seat with a very indifferent attitiude. You get the sense you are bothering them for even being there, the complete lack of profesionalism and customer service is evident the moment you walk in. I had a 7:15 am appointment and still had to wait in the collection room for 20 minutes while the room next to me had 3 patients have their blood drawn even though I was there ahead of them. Manager of this location needs to be fired. Walk ins aren't turned away but should be! I came in at 7:30, waited an hour, asked for an update on where I was in the line and was told I'm first on the walk in list so I will probably be seen by 10. The level of aggressive stupidity is mind numbing. Kept getting a $2400 bill, I have insurance. Took an hour on hold with insurance to find out for months they have been billing the wrong insurance, despite the name printed very clearly. How can these people be trusted with our health? Truly astounding, and I'd love to be shocked, but given what healthcare looks like in this country, I'm sadly not. I'd say do better, but no one cares. In this day and age, being this inefficient should be illegal. This place is horrendous. As other people mentioned, making an appointment means nothing besides long and unnecessary wait (1h+ hour). So, I was a walk-in and I know at this location that means a wait. I do the automated check in: DL, Insurance Card, etc. No indoor seating, so I go outside. 20 minutes later a text message informs me a technician is ready to see me and my name will be called shortly. Indeed, my name is called, but it's the reception attendant who asks for my insurance information "but I just checked in so you have my information..." she says it didn't record it, ok w/e give her the card, which she scans, then I go to another seat. Tick.Tok.Tick.Tok... 40 minutes pass. I see my name has moved to the top of the patient list displayed on the wall over the desk. But my name is not called. Another thirty minutes pass. Finally, I can't take it anymore: I walk to the desk and wait - as patiently as possible - for the attendant to finish her current paperwork. Then I explain the situation described above: "is there some problem?". After my name and birth date are verified, I she asks: "do you have the doctor's patient order?" Which I know is already in the system. "I'm checked in already" I explain, "the order is in the system". No, it's not, I'm told. Wut. This is clearly impossible as I'm already checked in and I know the order is in fact in the system. Well, you need to get the order, I'm told. Nevermind. read more

Appointment made this morning for an afternoon appointment. Nice there were numerous available time slots. Greeted nicely upon entrance and easy check in via kiosk with Driver's License. Front desk receptionist confirmed check in and payment made. 2:30 PM appointment and taken in for blood draw at 2:31...efficient and Lovejoy, Phlebotomist was pleasant and professional. Each Time I go there it's worse. Excuse after excuse as to why they run over n hour late for an appointment made on line I had to fast and the earliest appt was for 12:15 I arrived at 1:45 . the place was packed no where to sit The excuse was Only one tech on duty ...ld story used way too often No food since 6:30 PM night before and now it was 1Hour and 15 Mins past my appoint meant time over 18 hrs within food Actually started to feel light headed when I left PLus I was told I had an outstanding bill for $86 A NO! I have insurance that always covers every lab procedure ordered by my DR So No I have to try to straighten that mess out I HATE LABCORP it's our only lab option and it sucks read more

Labcorp is the slowest service I've ever experienced. I have had blood work done at Scripps, Kaiser, and Quest. The level of inefficiency is frustrating, everything took far longer than it should have. The overall experience was a waste of time. I waited 45 minutes and then canceled and left. It took on average 15 minutes to take the blood of one person. The rate of service makes it so they are unable to accommodate walk-ins because they are so slow. They are only able to keep up with appointments. I won't be using Labcorp again. read more

I have a very real needle phobia and I was very anxious about having my blood drawn for upcoming surgery. I could not believe how great the experience was for me!! There was absolutely zero pain and I did not even feel a "sting". I felt nothing at all! The technician who did the draw is named Lovejoy - yes that is her name. She was so amazing! I was so thankful for her and I no longer have a needle phobia - well, maybe just a small one now. read more

LOST STAT RESULTS NEVER RECEIVED DESPITE PROMISES BY LABCORP SUPERVISOR Sangita Williams over voice mail and emails. She and the employees at this location blamed it on the courier accidentally handing over my blood samples to Pomerado Hospital for resulting. As a result of that they are saying that's why my doctor never got the results and she said she would get my results sent to my doctor. Guess what- my doctor never got them. read more

I know everyone has different experiences/perspective on an experience.. but I'm honestly wondering why this Labcorp has 2.5 stars, I had an appointment at 12pm, I walked in around 11:50 and the waiting room was almost full.. I checked in online, they called me back shortly after I checked in, the gentleman taking my blood was very sweet and efficient.. and I was out by 12:10. I think making an appointment probably saves a lot more time.. as well, walking in (anywhere for that matter) and expecting to be seen within 10-15 minutes of being there when there are other people booking appointments is quite ridiculous. Walked in at 8 it was busy, get that but I checked in and was told it would be 45 minutes or I could schedule an appointment at 9-9:30 for fasting blood work. Scheduled that, they requested I show up a few minutes before 9 to check in again which I did, sat there 45 minutes to be finally called up and 9:45 and told there were 7 or 8 ahead of me so it would probably be another 30-45 minutes?! What a joke. Why make appointments if you aren't going to honor them. read more

I'm being generous by giving one star. I have been waiting for two hours for a walk in appointment. I approached the help desk to see when I will be seen and the woman at the desk was completely stone cold about the inconvenience. If anyone is upset for being inconvenienced they expect more sympathy for their poor service and slow technology. The people who work here have no respect and need to step up their hospitality. I had a 9am appointment and was seen at promptly 9am. Friendly and competent staff. Totally 5 stars.

Terrible process--I checked in and was told it would be an hour, so left, planning to come back in 45mins. Ten minutes later, I got a text saying the tech was ready and me name would be called shortly, so rushed back and gave my name. I was then told, "Oh, we're not ready, we just need your orders." I'd called the previous day to verify the orders were in the system and they still were. I was told it would be another 20mins, but it was 30. The only reason I'm not a 1 is that the lab tech was quick and professional. read more

Surprisingly enough, we had a nice experience. The wait was a bit long but they did tell me they were extremely understaffed. Was here with a family member for a blood lab. We entered our registration info at the self help kiosk by the door and waited about 30min to get the test done. The test itself lasted about 5min. The staff member that helped us was very nice and tried to make our experience more pleasant. 4 stars for the effort. read more

I needed blood work for allergy testing. I have been putting it off for 3 weeks, oops! I looked to see if any appointments were available for any of the locations near me, there wasn't anything until next week. I chose the location nearest to me and read the reviews, not so good, but it needed to be done. I drove over and there was a big line in the parking lot. I tried to go in to register at the kiosk, as one normally does, but was instantly snapped at by the people in line. Apparently, Covid rules dictate only 4 people are allowed in the waiting room at a time and you can only check in when its your turn to go in. 3 of the people left (too long of a wait) whilst I was waiting so it moved a little. I probably waited 30 minutes in the sun (a pop up shade tent would be nice but probably unlikely ). People who had appointments waited almost as long. Finally, I was let in and able to check in to the kiosk, pretty quick and easy. Only 2 people working and clearly stressed. I waited a little longer and was called to the desk to provide the info I just gave the kiosk (insurance card photo) apparently you have to do this every time it doesn't recognize you've been there before. Not very efficient. Then I was brought to a chair in the back and moved 3 times until my turn. The poor guy was nice but seemed flustered. 2 people on staff is way too little for the amount of people coming through here. Maybe increase pay? The whole thing probably took an hour. To be fair I'm hearing the other labs are having the same problem but it's really hard when you are on a time crunch. Hopefully all of these employee shortages will resolve soon . read more

Had to go to urgent care today after extreme pain and swelling from my blood draw a week ago. Urgent care informed me the phlebotomist blew out my vein and probably hit a nerve which is causing the pain and making it extremely difficult to use my arm (for a week). I didn't mind that the wait was 45 minutes but their equipment wasn't functioning properly (suction on the tubes). Wouldn't return and now terrified to get my blood drawn again. read more

Poorly run, short staffed , was like walking into a third world country ! Packed room with people sitting on floor and outside on curb . One person at desk and obviously not enough techs in the back I couldn't get appt online for weeks so did walk in, she said it would be over an hr wait but I was sitting at 1 1/2 hr than walked out I'm a visiting RN and wouldn't recommend this place to my patients Answer : for this large Corp , less profit better staffing and treat the patients that pay you better ! read more

Due to my poor health, I have to get my blood taken every few months. This review is for their staff. Everyone who works here is fast, efficient and extremely overworked. I feel really bad for them. Labcorp should hire a few more staff for each of their labs. The staff are always kind and friendly. One star taken off due to their corporate greed for not hiring more people. read more

I'll be honest, after reading the reviews I was very nervous to come here. I've had a rough time getting blood drawn because of small veins so I'm already a little anxious, but then the potential headache from issues mentioned by others added to the stress. But my experience was completely fine and was actually more pleasant than I would've expected had I gone in neutral. The front desk gentleman was personable and helpful, I was a walk-in and didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes (I DO recommend afternoon - I went around 2:45) and the gentleman in the back who drew my blood was also very nice and had no issues with the draw. Both were courteous to the others in the room as well. I'll update the review if any issues arise with getting the sample to the doctor but felt compelled to share my experience of this office, especially since it was so positive. read more

Worst Lab Ever! My local area lab was taken over by Labcorp, and is a disaster. Complex sign in/registration at a computer touch screen (that every patient has been touching - no wipes or cleaning for the screen!). Touch screen was so flaky that after a 40 minute wait they decided none of my info had registered so they had me redo it manually through one of their staff. The phlebotomist who was going to do the draw wouldn't listen when I told her that I was on multiple blood thinners, had fragile veins, and she would need a butterfly type small needle. Instead she played sewing machine with a large needle, which caused the vein to fail after the first tube. Repeated a large needle on a second location, managed to get a small amount of blood into the other tubes, and wanted to put a bandaid on the sites. Talked her into the compression gauze, which she wrapped too tightly and mostly downstream on the two veins. By the time I got home I had a painful raised purple subcutaneous bleed at each site, literally the length and diameter of my little finger! This required that I wrap the vein properly - the way I had seen every other lab tech wrap it, with pressure over the draw site instead of downstream. Spent all afternoon with arm elevated, and still ended up with 2.5" x 1" painful hematomas at each draw site! And the lab results are only available if I set up an account with Labcorp! Which I won't do, as I don't want my info in their computers. I will get my results from the doctor's office - assuming they actually send them (which other reviewers say doesn't always happen). My new physician sent me to LabCorp with a piece of paper after my appointment and said to walk in. When I followed his instructions and handed them the paper they told me to come back after fasting so I requested that they take the piece of paper, which was already crumbled and at a high risk of becoming lost. They refused. I requested to make an appointment. They refused again. The crabby old hag working the desk told me to put my information into their web site, make an appointment and return with that crumbled paperwork. Making an appointment generated a QR code that you use to check in, how impersonal is that? Nobody wants to be picked, prodded, and treated like a number. I can not understand why they refused to take my referral so it would be ready when I return in a fasted state. I do not want to put my private medical information into their web site. These guys have gotten even worse since the last time I visited 5 years ago. Avoid LabCorp if you can read more

Coming in for blood work. Make sure to read reviews as they are quite accurate. Don't do walk in as we did a really bad idea. Though the staff are competent and very professional, they might want to speed it up as people were waiting for 2 1/2 hours. read more
