If you ever go in for labs at other companies it is usually unpleasant and will take up a huge chunk of your day. I did not experience that here. I wish more medical systems and employers used quest and not other companies. I felt so happy and comfortable with my experience here. Also this place is super clean. Other lab companies are usually dirty and have a lot of people in the waiting room. Not this place!!

They're dealing with somebody in patient relations who has very little authority. MedStar had one of their higher working executives get back to me to address my concerns. I commend them on that. The one thing that I can say they did rather well was getting me in. I showed up a bit early and expected to wait. However, I was called back in less than five minutes of arriving. While back there the employee that drew my bloodwork was fast, efficient, and courteous. It was a quick stop, but one that I hope that I don't have to repeat anytime soon.

The clinic has no pager, no voicemail to get a follow up from the doctor or staff after hours and only a typical message to call 911 in emergecy. Result: no diagnosis, no prescription, no visit summary, like she hasn't been there.

At the behest of my doctor, I made an appointment to see if they could figure out what was going on. We did skin test, even though I said I had already had those, and it would just show that I am allergic to pretty much every environmental allergen. Which is exactly what the tests did. And I'm left paying nearly 400 out of pocket for this. Then, the best this doctor could do (and remember that allergists are also supposed to be immunologists), was tell me to take Zyrtec 2x daily (even though I had already explained that the antihistamine my doctor prescribed provided no relief) and come back in a month. In the interim, I have been in HELL with the hives getting progressively worse, and no itch relief. Finally saw a dermatologist at a yesterday who was incredibly concerned prescribed high dose steroids, and in less than 12 hours, I have almost perfect relief. As an aside, this practice also breaks HIPAA laws by requiring you to submit your medical records to their separate audiology practice. So again, 0/10 recommend.
