We're in town from San Diego, CA, relocating to Webster, NY, and after a long day of house hunting, we stopped by Label 7 and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, which was perfect after a busy day of looking at homes. We started with the brussels sprouts -- they were a bit overcooked, but honestly, everything else made up for it. The rest of the meal was fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. We really appreciated how well-priced everything was, especially considering the great flavors and variety on the menu. Overall, a solid spot for anyone looking for delicious food in a relaxed setting. We'll definitely be back!

Great food. Great people. As vegetarians we have trouble finding good places to eat. We really enjoyed our drinks and our food!

This is not a "bad " 3.0 rating.. More of a 3.5... as I now know what and how to order here. A separate dining area looks nice with bar area with tables and a two tiered bar. 3 TV ' s and about 20 seats at the bar. Staff is nice. So I ordered a simple mixed drink ...which was okay....but I would order a glass of wine or something neat ...as my cocktail was a bit weak....not bad -but noticeable. Food was okay....flat breads looked great along with burgers! My salmon was good..not fishy but to my surprise ...more rare to medium rare and the broccoli was bit firm... again good . But I would order the salmon medium. I look at these things as a learning curve here. Bar is nice, games on TV had closed captioning, music and noise is tolerable as you can easily have a conversation. THESE are the really good things. Plus the staff is nice! I / we will definitely go back!

As a massive fan of Label 7's sister restaurant, Native, in downtown Rochester, I expected to be impressed by lunch here. We came Saturday in the mid-afternoon to a completely empty restaurant that seemed surprised that we were even there--maybe we just came at a bad time, but the party who entered before us had to go find someone to come and seat our two groups. The bartender, Matt, waited on us in addition to covering the (empty) bar, and kept our table water carafe full. The vibe of the space is similar to Native, with an upscale rustic vibe with woven chairs and an indoor-outdoor bar area. That's about where the similarities to Native end. We ordered the caramelized onion dip, which was sub-par--the onions were stringy and not caramelized, and the base of the dip was a combination of sour cream and cream cheese that overwhelmed any other flavor. My dad got the "berries and cream" wrap, which he said was... fine. It came with plain, very stale (nearly inedible) chips, and we left most of those on the plate. My mom ordered a burger that was so bog-standard that I didn't even take a picture of it. My entree was the best thing we ordered by far--a BLT with a fried green tomato for the T, served on toasted brioche with a nice herbed aioli and some pretty solid truffle fries. Overall, we didn't get any of the purported "Napa" influence of the restaurant, and were pretty soundly disappointed by the food flavor and execution of what we did get. Maybe we'll come back for a second chance with their dinner service, but I'm not holding my breath.

The food was delicious. Their pork chop was very tender. Creative comfort menu at a reasonable price. The service was exceptional, quick and attentive servers. The ambiance was nice, the decor and aesthetic was tasteful and not overdone. Cozy but upscaled atmosphere.

Nice spot on the canal both indoor and outdoor seating. Just beware - happy hour special prices are only available inside. We asked about it as we wanted to sit outside and only after we ordered drinks. Did they come and tell us that we actually couldn't have happy hour pricing outside and they offered to honor the price on the wine and beer but not the cocktails we ordered.

I had a solid snack and drink session with a few members of my family at Label 7 this past Friday! I was pretty struck by the decor here - it is almost beachy and laid out in a really interesting way. We sat in the downstairs portion of the restaurant away from the bar. It was about 2:30pm when we arrived and there was maybe one or two other parties sitting at that time. It is a really lovely spot and I am looking forward to going back for date night someday. We went with snacks to share - the tasting board, grilled wings, and some fried green tomatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious (I didn't try a wing) and I especially enjoyed the homemade ricotta on the tasting board. My margarita was tasty and light, with some chili salt around the rim, and everyone else around the table was really impressed by their cocktails as well. Prices were more than fair, and the menu for both lunch and dinner is great if you've got some picky folks or varied palates at the table. The reason for the four stars instead of 5 is for the service. Our server was so kind and great, the pace was just really slow considering the lack of people in the restaurant. It was about 15 minutes for our drinks and our food came a short bit after that. No biggie and maybe it was just the time we were there. It would not deter me from going back by any means, and I am looking forward to my next trip!

The server was very good but the pizza took a very long time to arrive. It appeared they may have been understaffed. We had a Pepperoni and mushroom Pizza that was good but one piece had something on it that tasted and looked like a piece of meat fat. We advised and showed the server what we found and she said it appeared to be chicken. (It was inedible grissel) We have never experienced that with a Pizza and was potentially a health hazard. It did appear that they have declined since our last visit.

It is kind of hard to find a restaurant if one is not familiar with the area. I got there late, and the food was not served yet. I ordered my food, and then, we all got the food at the same time. Good. Two pounds of mussels across from me were shared by some at the table. I saw pastas, fried calamari, and Steak Salad(I was not too impressed by it), I got the Pork Chop. It was tender, although I ordered cook well done. The sauce was delicious. It came with Shoestring Fries. Tasty. A glass of Precose to wash everything down. Refreshing Caitlin, our server, was excellent. I told her to bring the special Orange Chocolate Torte for the Birthday Girl with a little candle, and she did in the end. It was a big enough piece of cake that we shared it after singing Las Mañanitas to her. We left happy.

Once Nico finally caught up he was entertaining and responsive. I think staffing needs improvement or reservations need to be spaced out better if they can't staff! They stretched themselves too thin having parties going in the back room at the expense of the main dining room. Once we got going, food and service was excellent. We had chicken parm, crab filled haddock, gnocchi, and shrimp. All were delicious. But the actual highlight for my wife and me was a shared wedge salad. The dressing was fantastic. While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. It feels like a hidden locals-only joint where you can grab a glass of your fave from a thoughtfully curated list of delicious options, and settle in with your better half, besties or a group of friends and just chill. We've been to Apogee a number of times before and 'after' covid, in colder months when we've been lucky to snag a window table, and in warmer times, like tonight, when we can sit outside and enjoy the flickering fireflies along with our sparkling rosè. Besides the pleasant atmosphere, Apogee has a beautifully appointed interior space, clean bathrooms, and a menu with cheese plates, cake, and more wines than you could taste in a summer. All of that plus super knowledgable 'bar tenders' (more like wine sommeliers) who can take your possibly clumsy description of what you think you want and offer up several perfect options, and you have the makings of a very pleasant evening. As a special events venue, Apogee was flexible with outside food and also with decorations. There was no additional venue rental/site fee, just a minimum spend amount (which we were confident that we would exceed). The venue is cozy and intimate, but has high ceilings so it did not feel claustrophobic at all, even with 30+ guests at one point. I'm a wine snob myself, so I was a bit skeptical initially when I saw their wine list. Most of the wines they serve retail for $10-20. They do have some bottles that are more expensive (retail ~$30). However, after tasting some of their entry level wines (Ancient Peaks Zinfandel & Gouguenheim Malbec), my worries vanished. Everything I tasted was excellent and drank better than their actual price point. Steve was a great host. He was laid back, but still friendly and attentive to all of our guests. He made sure everybody's drink needs were satisfied. He was also flexible with letting us in the venue early to set up and also staying late to clean up. I also liked the fact that they allowed us to bring our own wine, for a $15 per bottle corkage fee, which is fair. Anyways, Apogee is a great venue for a small party. They are flexible and reasonable. I would definitely recommend them as a wine bar and for hosting a private event (especially on a Sunday).
