There are many pizzerias in the Capital District and this one rates slightly below average. First, it's hard to find parking, so you're gonna have to park on a side street and walk to the shop. Inside, it's messy and unorganized. The only times I've gone there were when I was passing through Waterford and wanted a quick slice. The slices are pretty good, but there is not enough turnover so the slices tend to be dried out. Service has been slow, and sometimes it seems as if they don't know what's going on. Maybe if you're ordering a whole pizza or you're getting a delivery the food is better. But if you're just looking for a slice, there are better options. read more

Disappointed by the DeFazio's of 2023 & 2024 versus their glory days of the first decade of the 2000's, and Quite Dissatisfied with the pizza at the otherwise reliable Testo's, I was wondering where among the vast plethora of possibilities I could find solidly delicious New York Style Pizza. You know, the kind that John Trovolta wolfed down in the opening scene of "Saturday Night Fever." When all along, it was close at hand by merely crossing the Hudson River into Waterford from my home in North Troy, Nothing fancy here, but a great product at a very affordable price, served up right away with excellent service. My friend came over for movie night and brought pizza and a salad with him. The cheese pizza was picture perfect: golden crust, exact cheese coverage over everything, and red sauce poking out around the edges. It wasn't a bad pizza, and the sauce was a bit sweet which was a nice change of pace. There wasn't too much cheese either. I think reheating it in our oven on a pizza stone would have actually made it better. The green salad he brought was utterly disappointing. Lots of large pieces of iceberg lettuce, a few other chopped vegetables (including pepper rings that were slices from bell peppers and needed to be smaller, and standard bottled dressing. Average pizza and below-average salad. Had I picked it up and lived nearby (or reheated it in my oven), I likely would have added a star. read more

A slice of pizza heated up to the right temperature--that's what we want at lunch. The cheese was flavorful and thick. We had some pepperoni too but the crust stood out too because it had a flaky bite to it and it was yeasty and crispy. Hard to explain but totally satisfying! Ambiance not so much but that wasn't important to us for a quick slice. Service could've been more friendly but it was already 85 degrees at noon so we all were too hot (no A/C) so warm fuzzies wasn't going to happen. 9 out of 10 times you go they'll be closed even though it's during their business hours. They need to hire more staff that's reliable enough to open the shop on days they're supposed to be open. Waterford's Labella location has always had better pizza than the Halfmoon location, at least pre-pandemic. I don't know if they charge the outragous 4% fee for using a credit card on a delivered pizza (without informing you of this AND charging tax on the fee as well) but the Halfmoon location does. Also the Halfmoon location got our order wrong and was Extremely Rude about it and about charging us the wrong price. Waterford location is best for slices reheated - somehow they always were Really good, even better than a whole pie was. Too many flies buzzing around the pizzas on the counter, but if you can ignore that, their slices are pretty good. read more

It was a Sunday and I was really wanting a white broccoli pizza. The best I have found is Testo's but they are closed Sunday and Monday's. I called LaBells to ask if and what they used for a white pizza sauce. The person on the phone said they used a garlic type oil. I decided to give it a try. It did get delivered to my house hot but I was disappointed from there on in. The outer edge of the crust did not have any toppings in areas up to 3" in. The inner parts of the pizza toppings were dry with only the innermost center having a satisfying amount of. I only tasted garlic in one area of the pizza and I could tell it was that prepared jarred kind that really is nothing like fresh garlic. I will not going to get another one in the future. read more

LaBella's is pretty good, despite an apparently weird (or even tense) atmosphere. Admittedly, I haven't been here a lot, but every time I have, there has been some sort of disagreement or argument between staff and the older guy who (I assume) is the owner. The aforementioned older guy is also a horrible damn driver, so beware when you're walking near the pizza shop, lest you get mowed down by his minivan. I've almost been killed by him over at the Waterford Hannaford, as well. So I guess nowhere in Waterford is safe, but just be extra cautious around LaBella's. The pizza is pretty good. I'd certainly rank it above many of the other pizza options in the area. It's not the best, but it's good enough for a pizza snob like I am, and it blows away the crappy chains. read more

First time customer ordered 30 buffalo wings. Asked if I could split the order in half. Half garlic parm, half medium. Person on the phone says sure. $17.95 plus tax 20 minutes. I get there half hour later, lady says we never split orders up like that so I got charged for a 20 wing order and a 10 wing order. Even though they split the order in two. Half garlic parm and half medium. The bill came to almost 25 bucks! So in other words, they charged their customer for their employees mistake. First time customer and last time customer. The wings were overcooked and the sauce was terrible. Lousy blue cheese and only sliced up celery no carrots. Pshhh... My boyfriend and I needed something to eat for dinner as we haven't found time to go food shopping and wanted to try some place different. My partner and I have been ordering from La Bella for years. Their pizza is excellent, and so are their wings. However, their order takers have been getting it wrong lately. Case 1: We ordered a chicken alfredo pizza. We got a cheese pizza and a chicken alfredo dinner. Delicious, but not what we ordered. Cases 2 and 3: We ordered a 12-cut pizza with sausage and mushrooms. Both times they came with mushrooms but no sausage. The second time, we were promised delivery in 45 minutes but it took far longer. The driver got lost. Between the fact that we are frequent delivery customers, and the ubiquity of GPS, there is minimal excuse for this. We love the food and the convenience. I just wish that the execution were better. read more

This is a no frills pizza joint. Yes you can eat in, but don't bring a date. They have slices, the usual variety. I usually pick up a pie and bring it home. The large is large. The pizza taste good. The cheese is tasty if but a little salty. The sauce has the right amount of tartness to it. The crust is quite tasty but sometimes jus a little Chewier than I like. The pizza has always been ready when they say it will be. It's easier to pick up with a friend because there's no parking right in front and there's an alley on the side. I've been going to this place for years...reluctantly only because of the good garlic knots. Do yourself a favor, if it's the garlic knots you want just take the short drive up the hill to their Half-moon location. The people are a million times better and the pizza is somehow actually better too even though you know their using the same ingredients. This is the best brick oven pizza I've had in the Lansingburgh area. The crust is thin but not too thin, and just the right amount of chewy and crispy. The sauce is well seasoned with fresh basil. And like I said, it's not the best I've ever had, just the best I could find in the area. I have never been so upset that I have ever wanted to tell others not to order from an establishment! We ordered food and were told an hour. The food arrived and it was almost a half an hour late! We brought the food inside and then as we opened it realized we were delivered the incorrect order. We called and they claimed to have the salads we ordered and were sending them "right out." A half an hour later someone came to pick up the incorrect order to, yes, bring it to the correct house! WHAT!?!?! I'm sorry but once you deliver food to a house sure you can take it back but you do not know what anyone has done or touched that food with once it left your possession! They should have made new food for the people that also had the wrong order! No, they asked us for the original bag it came in. Sanitary, I think not! Did the gentleman have our salads that picked up the incorrect order?! No! he did not! We waited ANOTHER half an hour for the salads to arrive with a "so sorry for that." This is the worst pizza place in the entire world! DO NOT EAT there!! I called and placed an order over the phone for pickup and confirmed that they were located in Halfmoon v. Waterford. The woman confirmed this. When I arrived in Halfmoon they didn't have my food because I actually ordered the food from the Waterford location. When I called back the Waterford location, the woman yelled at me, denied that she said her pizzeria was located in Halfmoon, and told me that she would not allow me to cancel my order (since I was in Halfmoon, I was planning on placing a brand new order at the Halfmoon pizzeria). When I told the woman that I was sorry for the miscommunication, she berated me, called me an idiot, told me that she owned both pizzerias (which is not true according to the Halfmoon pizzeria) and was planning on calling the Halfmoon pizzeria to tell them to not make my pizza. I told her I already paid for that pizza, she then said she was going to "piss and spit" in my pizza, and then hung up. This woman is a disgusting display of the opposite of good customer service. This used to be a really good place to get pizza. We ordered today, bc we hadn't had it in a couple months. The cheese was falling off the crust, all you could taste was bland tomato sauce. The wings were burned, and there was no sauce at the bottom, just grease. We talked to the owner, he was accepting of feedback, but then we were called back by the guy who made the pizza, who proceeded to argue the pizza was perfect. We've been ordering from here for a few years. First time having a bad experience today. Called today after the 2 pizzas we ordered (same kind we get all the time) were not safe for consumption! Both pizzas had an odd sour taste and an odd smell! I certainly wasn't going to have my family eat it. I called and spoke with the owner who was extremely rude! My family tends to order from Labellas then from other pizza joints. Today I ordered Two 12 cut cheese pizzas, an order of jalapeño poppers, 2 orders of Mozzarella sticks, and a 2 liter of soda. When the pizza arrived, they had sent us two WHITE pizzas and only 1 order of mozzarella sticks (the rest of the order was right). I paid with my credit card and when I pay with my card I don't leave a tip, and when the driver saw that he had the balls to ask me if I was leaving him a tip! I called to complain about the pizzas and the missing order of mozzarella sticks, and they tried saying we ordered white pizzas and only one order of sticks. They sent up the corrected pizzas and another order of mozzarella sticks. They tried charging us for the second order of mozzarella sticks! When the driver called the lady on the phone said we would pay for the second order of mozzarella sticks when we never said we would. They didn't give us a menu either, so I don't even know if they charged me for two orders of them or not. My family has ordered from this Labellas countless times, but after this incident we will no longer do any business with them read more

I was there several weeks ago and she was nasty to a delivery guy, really screaming at him and acting like a crazy person.
