Have to say I am a little disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite NY pizza places, but something obviously changed. First tried it thirteen years ago when I moved here. Was just across the street from my apartment. I was sold. So fresh, abundant toppings and perfect crust. I used to order it weekly. Not so much when I moved down town. But would get it so often. Always ordered the supreme or meat lovers and was never disappointed. In fact ordered the night before I left about a year and half ago, and still great. Something changed. You can even tell from the photos. Veggies were wilted, old, or worse was a pie sitting under a heat lamp and since I ordered close to closing they might have just recirculated it. It was delivered in 30 minutes, no warmer box, and pie was less than warm and crust hard, like reheated. None of the toppings were like before. Don't get me wrong. Pizza was not bad. Not great, but not bad. Just not the NY style pizza I remember, and disappointed with my first NY pie since being away for a while. My only guess is the family that owned it and truly cared, sold it and the new owners are more about profits and cheap ingredients. Only my 2nd day back and a sad day. read more

SaraBella Pizza is a great place for takeout pizza and wings. I'm from out of town but I've made 3 trips to Albany in the last year. SaraBella has been consistently good each time I've been there. I especially like being able to select all flats or drums (I like the flats). And I like being able to select the crispy level on the wings. I think I'll go with extra crispy next time. The people working there were friendly and I think it's a family owned small business. So that's always a plus. They might get busy with orders on a Saturday night but they do their best to get your food to you ASAP. read more

The ONLY real NY Italian style pizzeria in the immediate Wolf Road area, and a damn good one! Got two different slices to go. They nail the dough, crisp and still nicely chewy and a real NY slice - not like the "spongey Upstate pizza" (my term!) that too many places serve in our area. This was really good, maybe even great pizza. When my job brings me up to the Wolf Road area, it is this place (plus All In The Family Pizza just a few miles away), as about the only places to get really good NY pizza in this part of the Capital Region. Great pizza! Great Salad. friendly attentive and respectful. We were visiting from out of town and staying at a hotel near the airport. They helped with a food allergy, took our order quickly and we picked up a veggie pizza and Chef's salad. Fresh, hot, ready on time, the crust was just right, sauce and cheese was balanced and spicy. We were visiting Albany and decided to check out SaraBella. My wife's name is Sara and our cats name is Bella. We had the wings and the arancini as appetizers and enjoyed chicken parmigiana pizza. We had a cannoli and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was different than what we are used to, but still tasty. We really enjoyed the cannoli. Would definitely recommend. I have passed SaraBella a million times. Across from my old high school, on my way home from work, its been there my whole life so I figured it should be good, right? We ordered a plain cheese pizza. it looked good visually, the crust was pretty good. The sauce was not very good, others say it just tastes like dried herbs, yeah, that is accurate. Ordered a big game special. The pizza was ok. Had hardly any sauce on it and the sauce that was on it had no taste maybe because it was so little. The wings had hardly any sauce on it at all and the sauce that was there was all sitting at the bottom. We got 30 wings and there was like no sauce. I am visiting the Albany area and wanted to search for a place to have dinner that wasn't at my hotel. I came across this nice little Italian establishment with excellent food and service. Upon entering I was greeted by a very nice cashier she gave me ample time to browse the menu and I decided on a small chef salad and a small pizza with everything. My salad came out first which was a nice touch and the pizza was followed thereafter. The salad was ample and delicious and the pizza was hot and also delicious. It seems this place does mostly delivery and although I decided to eat in I would definitely recommend here for a nice Pizza and a salad. I will definitely come back thank you for a nice experience. I called to order a pizza that I saw online. All the other $20 pizzas were 12 inches but it did not list for the cauliflower pizza. Bought a pizza but turns out it is a personal pizza? They never asked what size I wanted and for that price of $20 I'd assume it would be at least a regular sized pizza but barely fills one person. Especially since on the website it lists their 12 inch pizza as around 20. The pizza itself is also mediocre and there's nothing great about it. I thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed shells with meatballs--it is enough for two meals for me--especially when I have to have a slice of the pizza as well. ;) I like thin crust--the crust is a little thicker but well made. (If you prefer, They do make a pizza with an even thicker crust) Again, great sauce and I loved the thinly cut sausage. The place is small but we always get take out. I've been here a couple of times now and I'm always left feeling unsatisfied. When I crave a pizza, I want it to hit the spot. When I order from here, I don't get that feeling. Mainly because there is little flavor. The ingredients they use taste cheap and sometimes even stale. I ordered A margarita pizza and got unripe tomatoes over shredded mozzarella instead of fresh REAL mozzarella. It was some cheap American interpretation of a margarita pizza. And No basil either. The toppings were plentiful and tasty, but the crust again had no salt or flavor whatsoever and the sauce tasted like nothing except dried herbs. Picked up a large cheese pizza, spaghetti and meatballs (dinner) with salad. Thankfully I checked for the salad dressing in the parking lot before driving away because they forgot to include it.
