AVERAGE at best. Although this place is clean, and friendly. I've thought about coming here multiple times and finally tried it today. I will say the potion and pricing is right, and the egg rolls arent authentic style but are good. The biggest problem is the rice and stir fry sauce is bland. I never ever give a food review if I don't like it I simply just don't go back but the food we just ordered at the Lucky House is so bad my wife right now is in the bathroom doing God knows what sick to her stomach from the crap that she f****** ate from this place I ordered the poo poo platter and it tasted like well I guess if I knew what 20-year-old oil tasted like it probably taste like that each piece of food had no individual taste it was just soggy and nasty it was so bad that I would even feed it to my dog the chicken wings well I guess if you like your chicken wings with feathers on them than they were good but they were just disgusting the rice disgusting the boneless ribs disgusting if you read this review and you order from them you cannot blame them for wasting 40 50 60 bucks because I've read the other reviews and the ones that say they're five star are probably relatives because this place is f****** disgusting. Based on the food that I got them from them I can't even give a review because I close the place down if I had the ability the food is beyond disgusting. I forgot regular place is closed on Monday, so I tried here. Clean, no issue there. Come in and ask for order. Beef LoMein and same type rice combo. No Veges as asked. First issue: egg roll was at best luke warm. Was taken and packaged right away so I assumed it was a left over. I like hot, fresh so major garbage Second: LoMein was chopped. I guess their way but that's not LoMein noodles. Kind of gross to me this way. Last was the taste was real bland overall, even with duck sauce which 1 pack overwhelmed the whole thing. I would recommend going elsewhere if possible. read more

The portions are small for the price (and compared to the other Chinese food places I've eaten). For example the crab meat rangoons were about the size of Hershey's kisses. And I got less than half of a bag of crunchy noodles. On the other hand the food was absolutely delicious, so it is a crying shame that the portions are so skimpy. read more

Their sesame and general Sao chicken is to die for! They're pretty quick and are always super friendly. They're the only place I've ordered from in the past few years and it'll be hard to find another place that makes the food as good as they do. read more

Messed up my order. I ordered General Tso chicken combo with beef lo mein. And they send it with beef fried rice. And then argue with me on the phone about it. And made me pay a extra $2 for them to correct their own screw up. Which was not right. How are you going to make a customer pay a extra $2 for you to correct your mistake. We order from Lucky House every once in a while and they are always so quick! They are very friendly and they have the BEST crab rangoon!!!! yummmmmmo! My only concern is, last time we ordered, my boyfriend got chicken and broccoli and when he tasted the chicken it was extremely fishy...Which was obviously a let down from their superb food prior to this instance. We called back and told them, because his dish was inedible and frankly really gross tasting. We're not sure if the chicken was old, or if it was mixed with a seafood dish in the wok or what, but we were definitely disappointed. They were happy to come bring us another dish in replacement, but by that time he wasn't even hungry for it..... Regardless of what happened we will be going back, just hope they were able to figure out why it tasted like fish! He probably wont get chicken and broccoli again though! read more

Apparently, this is either a transparent extension of, or a silent buy-out of Fortune Star, a popular delivery Chinese restaurant among RPI students. I called the Fortune Star number and got this place. I ordered because they had the same fare, and I figured it would be comparable. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to find out.... I called and placed a delivery order at 5:30pm, which, I admit, is a busy time, especially on a rainy evening. But I was told it would take about an hour and I was willing to wait. At 1.5 hours, I called to check up on things. The person on the phone immediately associated my phone number with the delivery address and assured me my order was on its way, they were busy. I conceded and waited some more. At 2.0 hours, I was given the same assurances. At 2.5 hours, long past starving, I called again, and was given the same song and dance. I pushed back and stressed how long I had waited. All I got was, "It's on its way." When I asked whether my order was actually in a car on its way here (a 20 minute trek), I was told no. At that point, I cancelled my order. I don't know if this was a poorly executed opening weekend, or if this is indicative of how service will be in the future, but I'm never going to risk my entire evening (and hunger!) again to find out. read more

Just ok. The food is nothing to be excited about and the employees are rude. We were over charged and told it would be credited back to us within a few days. Called back a week later when it hadn't been returned and were told that it wasn't going to happen. I'll never order from here again. read more

Two stars for effort...but I can not recommend the food. I ordered chicken broccoli. The broccoli was fine (although large and stalky) the sauce OK but the chicken was the texture of blubber and tasteless. The chicken bore no resemblance to even canned chicken. It had a slimey texture and appearance. I gave it to the dog. The egg rolls are very small. The wontons in the wonton soup are good, but the broth flavor is weak. The crispy noodles you get for free were thick and tasteless- more the texture of a hard cracker than a crispy treat. The restaurant itself has a depressing atmosphere- no ambiance whatsoever. read more

Absolutely the BEST Chinese in Cohoes! Great prices-they load you up. The dishes are loaded to the gils with meat and fixins-unlike alot of places that are all sauce and nothing else. Super fast delivery. Try the General Tso's!!!! read more
