By 12:30, every table was occupied. What? Great reputation! We were seated at a small but nice window table right away. Immediately, we received a pot of tea. We placed our order since I had to be home by 1:30. Turned out we were served quickly considering how busy the kitchen must have been. Our Hot and Sour Soups came within 7-10 min. followed by our lunch choices. Hot and Sour Soup was outstanding. My go to anytime it is on menu, so I compliment from experience. It had a flavorful base that was perfectly sweet and sour. The tofu was sliced small, and the mushrooms had a pleasant texture and taste. Delicious! Sesame Chicken was with a sweet and tangy sauce that hit all the right notes. It was made with nice size chunks of white meat. Broccoli was not over cooked. Pork with Garlic Sauce was a great choice. Tender strips of pork covered in a good sauce that was perfect on the rice. We each took a portion of our lunch home so we would have "room" for ice cream. Homemade Ice Cream! Two scoops for each of us: Too delicious to share plus a real treat! *Green Tea/Matcha was deep in color and the flavor--superb. *Red Bean was sweeter, and my taste buds enjoyed every spoonful. Enjoyable lunch at a restaurant where you can count on food being well prepared plus get experienced service. A true GEM.

For dim sum dining, this is the place to go in the Capital Region. For those of you who don't know,…read moredim sum is comprised of small plates of food perfect for sharing. It is mostly eaten for brunch and or lunch. I ordered many small plates but the ones that stood out most were the pork soup dumplings, crab and pork soup dumplings, seafood shumai (a traditional small cup shaped steamed dumpling) the wontons in spicy chili oil, and shrimp dumplings. Additionally I also enjoyed their General Tso's shrimp and Peking Duck. Service here is on point and the waitstaff is attentive. They checked on our table a number of times and the pot of hot tea and iced water with lime wedges did not go unnoticed. Also the ambiance here is nice and the interior space is well maintained and inviting. I highly recommend eating here as the food is authentic and delicious. An exceptional dining experience awaits you!

My husband ordered his chicken mild and he stated it was perfect, the best he has ever had. Their mu-shu shrimp is packed with shrimp and flavorful cabbage and Chinese vegetables. My portion was enough for 2 to 3 people so I had it for dinner and two lunches as well. The restaurant is very clean and they provide exceptional customer service. He gets sesame tofu, I get sesame chicken, and we split a thing of cold sesame noodles. The tofu and chicken are incredibly crispy and flavorful every time. The rice is always perfectly cooked, the broccoli is always perfect. The cold sesame noodles come in one of those big deli containers with lots of green onion on top. We have ordered delivery from them multiple times and the food always comes hot, fresh, and delicious. Can't recommend this place enough! They're open on Mondays, you can order through their website and pay cash on delivery (that is rare these days). Our favorite!

The food was delicious. We picked a bunch of appetizers and an entree to share. The crab rangoons were off (too much crunch, not enough cream cheese) but everything else was great. We were given hot tea, water, crunchy noodles and dipping sauces to start. The lunch menu had a variety of choices, including vegan. I ordered a starter of Char Sui. For main entree platters, my mom ordered the pan fried tofu dish while I ordered the cod filet with Thai eggplant. I paid for a different side, thin rice noodles, since I didn't want the rice that came with the platter. Finished our meal with a pistachio layer cake and hand dripped coffee. Everything was enjoyable; well balanced and deliciously seasoned. A wonderful variety of Asian flavors in more traditional dishes. It is ornate, and brought me emotionally back in time. The service is more like the 70s and 80s, before food service became a rush for quick turnover. If you are looking for a spot where you can relax and not feel rushed, enjoy unique interior decor, and flavorful distinctive cuisine come here for lunch!

I was so disappointed in the Sesame Chicken, my go to order. I was hungry, but after trying several pieces, I had to toss it out. No leftovers to eat tomorrow. The "chicken" pieces consisted of over fried hard to chew skin around a small piece of thigh meat. Mostly gnarly chicken skin. The only thing good was the flavor of the sticky sauce with sesame seeds. I know where to get delicious Sesame Chicken with White Meat. China King and Mr. Wasabi in Schenectady are two of those places. The good-- My husband's Chicken with Broccoli in a white sauce was very good. My daughter enjoyed the same dish with a darker soy based sauce. The children liked the Edamame, Dumplings, and noodles. The mediocre-- The order of Chicken Fried Rice was not greasy but rather bland. It needed more seasoning. The Chicken Mai Fun lacked flavor and was bland. Pluses: Portions are generous. Everything was ready on time. Packed nicely. Efficient and nice staff. Kids liked the dozen or so Fortune Cookies that were included.

Our last order was General Tso's Chicken and Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables platters. The platters included pork fried rice, an egg roll and a generous portion of the main entree. The egg rolls were a little burnt but ok otherwise, nothing special. The shrimp and vegetables were good and tasted fresh. General Tso's was enjoyed by my son. Our biggest disappointment was an order of Crab Rangoon. Very little filling and very greasy and tasting of oil. The food was hot when it arrived. 31/2 stars rounded up to 4.

In the background on the TV was the Food Network. Our waitress was very polite and gave us time to order. I started with the Szechuan dumplings which turned out to be steamed dumplings in a spicy peanut saucy. They were very soft, almost to the point of mushy, and the meatball inside was chewy. I had never heard of them before and really enjoyed them, though I didn't find them spicy. My wife disagreed on that point, and didn't care for them. For my son, we ordered "chicken fingers". They were larger pieces of battered deep fried chicken (think sweet and sour chicken) and cooked so long as to be hard and greasy. He didn't want to eat them, and after one bit I completely agreed. They were terrible. Very little meat, very hard coating, very oily. Yuck. We threw nearly all of it away. My wife ordered sushi, and during the ordering process there was some confusion as to what fish came with it and whether there was an upcharge or not. She ended up with a standard sushi order and didn't enjoy it all that much. It might have been sitting around a bit too long. I ordered the General Tso chicken and was very disappointed. There was lots of chicken and it wasn't fried as hard as the chicken fingers, but I didn't like the sauce. It was loaded with minced ginger, shallots, and garlic which gave it a much different taste than anywhere else I have had this dish. As I looked at it more, it hit me... I have bought this bottled sauce before from the supermarket. I think it is "Iron Kitchen" brand, and I used to have some in my fridge (when I bought it, I discovered it didn't taste good either so it sat in my fridge for ages). Yangs didn't make their sauce from scratch, and it was gloopy and thick. he picture of this dish on the online menu doesn't match what you get. Do they always use this sauce? I dunno, but it was one of the worst versions I have ever eaten. After dropping off our food, the waitress disappeared and was clearly busy with other tables. She never checked on us to see how we were doing, and it took a while for someone else to refill our drinks. They did a tremendous amount of takeout while we were there. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal. We won't be back.

She didn't want the large portion, she's little and she doesn't eat a lot. So they forced us to buy the larger portion. That's a poor money grab in my opinion. Other than that little bit it's overall ok. They should delete the age limit for children.
