My fiancée purchased a beautiful wedding dress from this establishment with the understanding from the sales rep that the dress could be let out if necessary. We were ensured of this. When she took the dress to be adjusted, they said the dress could NOT be altered. Off-the-rack ones could be so much cheaper too, and unique! Too bad I'm too small for those selection. Lace and Grace WAS great. They were sweet initially and let me try on a bunch of dresses, and because my wedding is so soon, let me buy one off the rack. Who isn't great is the woman they recommend to butcher your $2000+ dress and have zero remorse for doing so making it unwearable, and virtually a big pile of unusable fabric, Nasya Barnette. With 10 days until my wedding officially did not have a dress to wear to it. Never an apology, blamed me for why it was wrong, and didn't ever give a professional opinion on how to fix it. Happily took $350 from me and let me leave nearly in tears. I took it to another seamstress and the look of horror in her eyes and words that left her mouth made me cry more. Exact words were 'terrible job'. I don't recommend this place just because of the seamstress they recommended and the horrible job and lack of professionalism she doesn't hold. UPDATE!: They refuse to answer my calls or call me back, the shop and Nasya. The other seamstress could not fix my dress so I had to scramble to find one by my wedding. I went to Lace and Grace earlier today for my first appointment wedding dress shopping. Megan assisted us and was amazing! There was a great selection of dresses, both on and off the rack. There was a wide variety of pricing, so everyone could find something they like there. The dress I picked was off the rack and below my budget so I was very happy with saying yes to my dress! Megan made me feel comfortable and confident while trying on the various gowns. She chatted with me about my life and engagement which put me at ease. As someone who is a pretty nervous person and doesn't like undressing in front of others, this helped me feel very comfortable. DON'T DO IT Lace and Grace Bridal in Leander IS Not what they say they are. Just to get you up to speed ; I recommend that you look up the google reviews and yelp reviews on this business. Our story started DEC 29-23 - We had an appointment at Lace and grace Bridal with Lacey Schutz ( owner) The appointment was great. She recommended sizing and customization. Collected a deposit and provided a receipt. It all changed once we walked out the door. We were told that a custom ordered dress would take 3 months. So --- end of march-beginning of April dress would be ready to try on. No follow up , no shipping update, no tracking number --- unanswered calls. We were contacted to make payment in February, processed 2/3/24 We were not contacted until final payment May for final payment - and still no communication regarding delivery. Final Payment 5/3/24 was made and miraculously the dress was " shipped" .On 6/4/24 I sent an email to Kasey because she was not answering phone calls or returning them. Reply to my email provided a tracking number. We then set an appointment for 6/22/2024. The reveal was Horrible- this dress did not fit at all. The sizing was grossly off and the store manager that assisted with the appointment could not zip it up. She went on to say that it could altered and all would be ok. We have consulted with a seasoned seamstress and dress maker and have found that Kasey did not size my daughter correctly and her recommendations were severely wrong. I'm now in the process of requesting a refund for this gown. We trusted Kasey to measure , recommend and guide us in this purchase. She falsely represented her business and did not deliver the service that we paid for. I have been collecting evidence to prove that this business owner is wrong and needs to refund our purchase. I have not been able to speak with her- she will not call me or my daughter. I have email and text communication only. On another note - Kasey Schultz has another shop in Frankenmuth , Michigan. There was a local new interview to announce the grand opening Jan 4th. ABC 12 news. The reviews for that store are also poor. I would like to prevent other brides/ families from becoming victims in the poor establishment. In closing, A little analogy- A customer goes to the car dealership- orders a customed automobile. I would give 0 stars if I could. I bought an "off the rack" dress here and I was told at purchase that my dress would "only need a hem and the zipper fixed so alterations may be around $80". I took it to my seamstress and she said they never should have sold the dress in the condition it was in. The boning in the bodice was folded inside and had to be removed, the zipper came completely off when she zipped it to get measurements, and she had to wash and steam it 3 times just to get all of the makeup/deodorant off of it. I paid $1100 in alterations just to make my $1850 "off the rack" dress wearable. This place is a fraud and a scam-they will do and say anything for a sale and then you're on your own to deal with the mess. The sooner we get this place shut down, the better. read more

This bridal boutique has given me multiple issue. I do not recommend going to this store if you are a minority or plus size. They will be extremely rude and unhelpful. I will never be back. All of there products were stained, ripped or missing gems/beads. Very low quality. The first being that I had trouble even going in to the store since they closed early every time I tried to go. The second being after I scheduled the appointment for accessories the attendant was very condescending to my mother and I. First she began to state that crystal headpieces were super expensive like in the thousands of dollars then she stated that all of there selection was way better than David's bridal; since there products were cheaper made and of low quality. One of the best bridal boutiques. Brianna is new and did a wonderful job being so helpful finding a dress and is super sweet. Originally I was looking for a long sleeve but there was not very many but ended up finding something better. We walked in without an appointment hoping we'd be able to find something on my short trip to Texas. We got there as soon as they opened and luckily someone had canceled their appointment so we had enough time being the only one in store trying on dresses. I picked out about 9 dresses and circled back around to this beautiful lace long train dress. If I had enough time they have a girl who does alterations but my wedding was less then two weeks and it wouldn't of work so I took it back home to alter it. All these dresses were beautiful and they're more on the 1000 and up end. All the dresses I tried Brianna and my stepmom helped me in and out of them. They lied to me over the phone about what kind of dresses they kept in stock, they also lied about the prices (they said majority were under $1,800). Every dress I picked up was both filthy and over $2000. When I showed up for my appointment I had to wait 40 minutes after my appointment's start time before I was even acknowledged by the associate "assigned" to me. Jennifer, the store manager immediately got me checked in and explained the store layout so I could start picking dresses to try on. I recommend this place to my sister because IN THE PAST, this place has been the go to for brides. Let me tell you, boy do I regret recommending this place to her. We had a "fine" experience picking out her dress, but it definitely was not something I imagined for her! The girl at the end asked for a tip like it was a restaurant, and it really just left a bad taste in our mouth because it's based on dress price... like I'm sorry but 15-20% of a $2000 dress is downright absurd. Then became the nightmare of her physical dress. She waited an extra 3 MONTHS for her dress with empty promises and white lie after white lie. One day it's the factory, the next day the store is broken into, oh wait the AC is broken... like what an absolute train wreck. Being a bride is stressful enough without dealing with this! Update: picked up my bridesmaid dress. I guess the girls working are not very great with measurements... or calculations. I'm a davids bridal size 18 bridesmaid.. All day long. They said the designer ran very small and encouraged me to order a size 24 based on my measurements... um... it's so huge I fit both my (plus size) arms and my entire body in the dress and there's still room in the waist line. Currently having a terrible experience. My original consultation appointment for trying on dresses and ordering was great, but since then it has been terrible. I am giving one star because I have to give something. I'm slightly bummed I wasted time here. The stylist, Abbie, asked my size (10-12) but then pulled all dresses that were size 6, so they were way too small. The fabric of the dresses feels very cheap, very Shein made in China vibes. When I tried on the size 6 dresses, she simply said if this was your size it would fit better, she then asked me to get dressed and look for other dresses on my own. I felt uncomfortable and the experience was lack luster. This place is not size inclusive and has very poor customer service. I honestly don't know how this place has 4.5 stars on Google. read more

My best friend and I went to Lace & Grace this weekend to search for her wedding dress. We had such a great time! We were greeted at the door by Jennifer. She said she is the new manager and she showed us around the store and explained each section of the dresses to us. I was especially impressed with the store because they had dress sizes for EVERY bride! I'm a plus sized girl and I was so impressed that they have dresses from size 2 to 24. I really appreciate that they are so inclusive! She asked us to select about 6 dresses to try on. Jennifer introduced us to Kylie, our personal stylist. Kylie helped my best friend in and out of many dresses. We had so much fun with her! My BFF fell in love with the very first dress she had tried on so she put it back on after trying all the other dresses. It was absolutely perfect for her so she said YES TO THE DRESS!!! We asked if they had a sparkly veil that she could try on with it and they brought the perfect veil! They were running a special for the holiday weekend and every wedding dress was $200 off. How great is that?! My BFF got her dream wedding dress for a bargain price! Amazing!! They served us celebratory champagne while we paid for the dress and the veil. It was absolutely perfect!! They even gave her a little goodie bag. I recently bought my own wedding dress in a different state. I wished I'd known about this store and I would have bought it here! 10 out of 10! Initially, shopping at Lace and Grace was great. I found the dress of my dreams and ordered it at the beginning of February knowing that it would be ready in 3 to 5 months for my wedding in late October. However, following the purchase, I can't describe a more worse experience. Not only has there been no communication from them, but after their email in late August saying that they were closing down, I have gotten not a single email or form of contact from any of them about when my dress will arrive or how to get my money back. It has now been one month since they closed down, and yet still there has been nothing. Now they have disconnected their website and email and there is no way to even reach out to them. I am out $2000 and without a dress for my wedding day, just weeks away. Even if they are too open up again, I would never recommend someone to shop here. Beyond horrible communication, and they are essentially stealing from vulnerable brides just excited for their big day. Short Review: - Dresses are made in China - Dishonest management - Nightmare timeline - Dress disappeared Long Version: I wanted to like Lace and Grace Bridal. Shopping for a wedding dress should be the fun part of wedding planning. They had beautiful dresses and the employee helping me look was professional. I found a dress that I liked and they told me that they could do alterations in production. They even gave me $500 off if I purchased the dress that day which put a lot of pressure on me to make a decision in one hour. (Future brides, please understand that EVERY bridal boutique takes money off so don't just take the price off the rack. I didn't realize this at first. This is a trick that I learned when everything went wrong and I had to find a last minute dress by looking at other boutiques.) When I was in the process of purchasing the dress at Lace and Grace, I explained my timeline clearly. I was leaving Austin on March 15th. There were only two months left. The owner of the store said that was not a problem at all. She absolutely guaranteed that if I purchased the dress, it would be ready before I left for Colorado. I trusted her and made the mistake of taking her word. There was no communication at all. But I didn't think much of it. On the week the dress should have been ready, I started calling and leaving voice messages. They ghosted me. Finally, two days after the dress had been guaranteed ready, I got the owner on the phone. She told me that the delivery guy had "lost the package." I thought it was mysterious that there was no shipping number (at least not one that they shared with me) or no signature required from the delivery guy on such an expensive purchase. I had spent $1200 on the dress. At that point, I requested a refund. The manager said "we will talk about it next week. Just give me a few more days to find the lost package and I will get back with you." I stayed in Austin longer than I had planned just to wait for the dress.  The owner never called back. Finally, when I was in the middle of moving the next week, I was able to get her on the phone again. She told me that the dress was permanently lost but that she had ordered a new one from the factory that would be ready no later than April 15th. At this point, I would no longer be in the state. I asked for a refund again. I had never authorized her to reorder the dress and she didn't talk with me beforehand like she had promised. She refused to give me a refund and was very rude over the phone. I explained to her that I would be living in Colorado and had no ability to get back to Austin for the dress. She had no sense of compassion, and explained that there was absolutely no refund even though Lace and Grace had broken their delivery promises to me. Instead of contesting the purchase with my credit card company, I decided to give Lace and Grace another chance. Once again, that was a mistake. April 15th came and went and they never called me or delivered my dress. Finally, my stepmom called and asked about the dress on my behalf. When they heard my name, they put her on hold and dropped the call. I think they had blocked my cell number too because they wouldn't answer my calls. Finally, she was able to talk to an employee. They explained that the dress was not ready on the due date and that it was stuck in Shanghai, China. They finally issued a refund. My stepmom requested a call from the manager. She wanted to understand why they had refused a refund in the first place and why there had been absolutely no communication on the two failed deadlines. The representative said that the manager would call back but she never did. I had to buy a dress off the rack in Denver at the end of April. It was not the dress I wanted but I had to make it work for my July wedding so I could have enough time for proper alterations and bridal pictures. Working with Lace and Grace was an absolute nightmare. No bride should have to go through this. I hope that this review warns future brides from a similar situation and I hope that it is a reminder to Lace and Grace that customer service matters. My fiance said yes to her dress in January (and of course the staff asked for a tip at checkout) probably from all the champagne they are pushed to serve customers, probably themselves too. Anyway, there is no communication. She has been brought to tears multiple times with the lack of communication and worry that this shop has cause her. This is supposed to be a fun and joyful experience, however, getting your money taken, or should I say stolen, with no word on when the dress is even going to show up is absurd. Broken promises, no response to emails and straight to voicemail calls is a horrible way to run a business where someone's best day of their life is on the line. It's pretty comical that this can be considered a business. I've had better business at a garage sale lemonade stand run by a couple 5 year olds. I would NOT recommend lace and grace, I got my dress from there and it was probably the worse experience out of all my planning and vendor stuff. I was so incredibly stressed, i ordered my dress 9/25 it didnt arrive until 6 months later and the dress was delayed by like 3 months with zero communication, i had to continue to follow up and see what was going on , paid close to 3k for the dress, custom sizing, and sleeves to be added. When I arrived to pick my dress up no sleeves (no one even called me before hand to let me know that they were missing also delays were blamed on the sleeves?), the dress was huge (I paid a large amount extra for custom sizing and ended up still paying $800 in alterations my seamstress was convinced they just gave me a random sized dress), the owner was so non chalant and just blamed everyone else taking no accountability, they compensated me $30 for the sleeves which is a drop in the bucket considering overall how much I paid. If I can encourage anyone who will listen not to make the mistake I did and go with them for their dress I will 100%.
