Although I was satisfied with my initial results of my first Frontal sew-in, it will soon be taken out. A week after the weave being installed it soon began lifting. This was to be expected honestly. But what I didn't expect was for my braids to be braided so tight that it has caused hair loss around my edges. Now this is not my first sew in or braided hairstyle, so I understand that you may have a headache for a few days after the style has been done. I am also aware that you may experience those "braid bumps" in the nape area, but NEVER have I had anything to this degree. So please it you decide to come to this salon make sure you insist that they don't braid you hair too tight. read more

This is my first time having my hair done in over 10 years at a salon. I researched so many salons, I was appalled to say the least by the prices! I had never worn a sew in, I purchase the hair I messed that up! The original beautician that I thought would hv been great failed. Just when I was about through with it all, I come across Salon lace me! 3 days before Christmas. Later that afternoon I spoke with a lady at the salon, I don't remember her name, she was warm and welcoming answering all my questions! I booked a appointmen, amazingly on Christmas Eve at 4:45! It was my first time here and I got the $50 silver/partial sew in. It is secure and comfortable--not too tight. Any questions I had were answered and adjustments were made to customize the look to meet my needs. My hair blends very well because of it! I've tried this salon a total of 4 times. I've had 2 bad experiences. My first time here was amazing and Devlyn did my hair perfectly. It wasn't 2 tight and she got almost all 4 of my bundles in. When I wanted a new sew in she no longer worked there so I tried someone else. It was horrible. Im natural and came with my hair in 4 sections damp as I'd deep conditioned it. The Male stylist didn't know how to blow dry natural hair and just took a brush and the dryer and went to work not using small sections nor any sections at all. (I learned from that and started coming with my hair blowed out and in 4 plaits so that they wouldn't pull out my hair.) When he started to do my hair, My braids and sewin in was so tight that my scalp in the back was breaking and bleeding. I went back a week later and the mistake was fixed by taking the very tight braids that were ripping my hair from my scalp, allowing my head to heal and getting it done over for free a month later. The owners sister did the fix and it was great and lasted almost 3 months. I went again 2 weeks ago and again had to use another stylist named Danielle. This was the worst one of them all. First off i don't get why they still use this outdated braid pattern where the braids go around the head when we all know doing braids straight back provides less tension and allows for more places to lay tracks. Her 2nd mistake was that she tried to get away with sewing 2 bundles out of the 3 in my head. An 18 and 20 inch bundle. There were big gaps where there were no tracks at all and the look was thin and dead looking. She had an attitude when I told her i wanted all my hair sewed in. I told her i don't walk around with 2 bundles sewed in as I normally where 20 22 24 24. I bought 3 because I used 16 18 20 this time. She had to remove the 2nd bundle she sewed in and reput it in and then she sewed most of the 3rd bundle. There are still big gaps where there is no hair in the back and in the back and around my edges she sewed it so tight that i have bumps and hair loss around the edges in the back and front on one side. This time i didn't even bother with asking for a redo nor contacting the shop. I feel like I'm just over it and I'll be spending my money elsewhere. Sometimes you have to pay more for quality work. Im no longer willing to risk my beautiful natural hair to just anyone. I spend lots of time and effort growing my natural hair and taking really good care of it in between maintenance styles. I can actually do my own sewins if I had more free time and didn't always have my nails done. read more

Completely unprofessional! And from the owner Lacy/ Jeri! I asked her a simple question my hair just out of confusion. Wasn't rude in my demeanor, but she yelled at me to turn around in my chair and not ask her any questions. Continued to yell and say I shouldn't question her in front of the whole salon. Clearly she doesn't have home training and is not professional. My hair did turn out nice, but I will not be going there just because of the unprofessional alone. read more
