I went into the store and the customer service was not the best. I just thought maybe because they were talking to each other. But the customer service was not there. The layout of the store was nice clean & very cute. I am a licensed cosmetologist and needed hair quickly & wanted to try their hair. I purchased the sea collection, straight hair, and at the time a wig. The hair on display was not up to par, but I felt maybe its because its display hair. Again purchased it al, proper care and upkeep and the straight hair did great. the curly hair and the wig shed like crazy. Barely with any product, because I understand product really is not necessary. However I would not recommend to a regular client. The hair tangles a lot, sheds a lot, it was very disappointing to say the least. I still do not shop with them due to this. I recently had a client ask me about their hair, and I told them I am unsure now what the quality is It took some time to upload this because I really like to support anyone's business. Very Disappointed - Not Worth the Price I'm a licensed cosmetologist with 9+ years of experience. I purchased two bundles of curly bulk hair from DHair Boutique for $378.88. At first, it looked full--but once prepped, it shed excessively, reducing the bundles to 1/3 of their size. I ran out mid-install and had to improvise. After wetting the hair, it tangled and matted badly, even with proper curl products. I had to refund my client due to the poor quality. I've never worked with hair this bad. I am extremely disappointed with the hair bundles I received from this store. The quality was far below my expectations. Despite paying extra for shipping, my package arrived late, and to make matters worse, the hair was shipped in flimsy plastic bags rather than the nice containers they advertise on Instagram. I ordered 30-inch bundles, but they were thin and skimpy, which was not what I expected given the amount I spent. I purchased D wavy curly hair in April of 2025. For the first week and a half the curls and texture were absolutely beautiful. After that, I noticed the hair looked dry regardless of what I did to it. The only thing that helped the hair was adding water every single hour. I emailed the company and ask them how do I take care of the hair? I listened to their suggestions and nothing worked. I was only able to use it for two sew-ins before I had to throw it away because it never looked lustrous again. It looked dry, dull and very fluffy. The curls were not defined as they originally were. I saw they had a sale I believe around September saying that they did not know when D wavy curly was coming back. I assume maybe I just had bad bundles because it was never out of stock. I have been wearing much cheaper weave over the last 15 years that lasted longer and was more manageable than the D wavy curly hair I purchased from the D Hair Boutique. I went ahead like a dummy, and purchased two more bundles of the D wavy curly hair. I assumed the first two bundles I ordered were just bad. These bundles were MUCH worse than the first two! When I say the same day I had the bundles installed I had to cut pieces out of the sew in out because the hair had become matted and severely tangled. This was ridiculous. I knew then this was NOT an isolated event. They knew they were selling bad bundles. I immediately emailed them and told them the problem. There's no way you can send bundles back once they have been installed so I was stuck with this hair. I informer them that this hair was so matted, tangled and dry that no conditioner leave in or regular could Salvage it. I even sent pictures. The hair looked like a matted bird nest! I was beyond pissed at the fact that they keep selling this expensive unmanageable hair! I figured that they must know that they are selling bad hair because I know I'm not the only one complaining and I live out of state. I believe they give the better hair to influencers, or people that come into the store directly. If you're far away it's harder to complain because you can't just walk into their store. I wasted a lot of money and time with hair that is expensive and cost more than cheaper hair which actually were of better quality. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling this hair. Dhair boutique hair used to be very high quality. It's always been on the expensive side, but the quality was so good I didn't mind paying. Now, I search around and DHair is usually the last resort, when it used to the first. I purchased SEA Natural wave and it was kinda rough. After my install it felt dry and rough so I went back for a wash about 2wks later and it felt a lot better and was very manageable. The stylist said sometimes the hair needs to be really cleansed to get a lot of the residue off it. I really liked it. Anyway the next time I got Raw Malaysian and that's something I'll NEVER buy again. That hair tangled and shed so much. It was awful. Warning NO REFUNDS ALLOWED HERE OR TRADE. Bought 22 inch ear to ear lakefront Brazilian curl wig for $600 for 150% density that looked more like 16 inches at average 100% density. It looked thin. My professional install went well but the wig cap seemed dense and the hair just shed more then any other wig my boyfriend has bought me . The 22 inch is extremely thin and stringy with very rough texture. I have not been able to style the hair because it tangles and sheds. I have been purchasing hair from DHair Boutique since 2020, and I loved their quality at first. This past year all of the hair I've bought was poor quality. The Lao's hair sheds so much and tangles ridiculously. It's impossible to wear this wear either in its natural state or putting heat to it. I tried to put heat on it thinking I'll be able to get my money's worth but it looks even worse. Dry and thin! While flat ironing the hair it was burning off as if it was synthetic, not 100% convinced its 100% raw hair anymore. Same issue with the DWavy after coloring the hair with NO BLEACH the ends were instantly dry and brittle. Hair tangles and sheds just as bad as the Lao's hair. First of all, LOVED, that I was able to go online and schedule a consultation to speak with the stylist prior to making my appt. I'm new to the Dallas area and have been looking for someone local to start doing my sew-ins. I made an appt with Tomeka in the middle of my work day. I work 20 mins away from the shop and prepared myself, and my boss, for me to be gone for 2 hrs (you know how it can be sometimes ;-)) I was pleasantly surprised to see Tomeka waiting in the front when I arrived so I was able to start my consultation on time. She greeted me with a smile and took me to the back to discuss what I was looking for. I've never had the opportunity to sit with the stylist and explain my wants before my appt. They are typically too busy to make one on one time for their customers, but Tomeka prefers a consultation upfront and I think that is so smart. I was able to get her suggestions and recommendations and determine if she could do what I was looking for, although I was already confident because one of the reasons I booked with Tomeka is because I saw a pic of the exact style I wanted. We went to the front to look at the various textures, styles, color and lengths of hair they sell in the shop, and there is ALOT. A very helpful young lady (sorry, I don't remember her name) helped me for 15 mins to find the right hair that we could color and still produce the curl pattern I wanted to achieve. I was able to purchase the hair immediately and was provided a discount (Thank you, Jesus!) and booked my appt with Tomeka for June 7th. I enjoyed the professionalism and courtesy of everyone at the shop. The different hair you can purchase is impressive and you have the added bonus of getting the buy-in from your stylist on the hair you're purchasing for the style you want. I've seen a review indicating Tomeka has been rude. While I can't speak to the customer's experience, I can say that I expected an attitude because as we know, most good stylists tend to have one, but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by Tomeka's positive demeanor and would recommend her to anyone looking for a weave stylist in Dallas. read more
