My most memorable meal at Lacey's is the chicken salad sandwich. Very flavorful and filling. The quick and friendly service was appreciated too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one thing I was surprised and disappointed with was how dirty the restroom was. It wasn't messy but grimy you know the type of dirty that has built up over a long period of time[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]They say if the bathroom isn't clean the kitchen most likely isn't either. It would only take a good bleaching once a week to really make a difference[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Horrible!!!! We ate there as part of all inclusive hunt on the property of the owners of Lacey's, which is another story that was worst than the food at this place. For a great country style restaurant this is a place to stop. Staff is so friendly and attentive. I ordered the fried chicken lunch special which came with 2-3 sides. The sides were really good but what stood out was the chicken and the friendly service. Sides were mashed potatoes and white gravy plus corn and Lima beans. I heard someone else commenting on the chicken. They told them it is both fried and baked. It was barely crispy on the outside and the meat was very tender. Comfort food! I was very impressed by their chicken quesadilla - tasty and filling. No sweet tea? Bummer. Cute ambiance; friendly, welcoming and efficient service, and very reasonable prices. Given they are the only full-service, full-line restaurant in town, it's a nice place for a nice meal. But... but... but... why only two stars? Loud. Very loud. The local "hangers on", the old guys taking up tables who won't be moved from their seats without crowbars and a front-end loader, are *deaf*. All of them. They shout at each other in normal conversation, which seems to never end. What's sad is these guys don't process that they are damaging the business to some degree by making it their clubhouse. We like the food, the setting, and the service, but we depart with our ears ringing after every visit. read more

Your friendly neighborhood diner! We came to this small town for service on our truck and got a few hours to kill, this place weren't on Yelp nor Google Map, if it weren't for the local we wouldn't be able to find it. It's a no frills straight from your mama's kitchen kind of diner and we loved it! The moment we walked in even the guests from the table greeted us. The one hostess was extremely warm and friendly and apparently knows every guest except us. I got the "hungry women's breakfast" and husband got the "hungry men's breakfast", basically the same thing - eggs, meat, hash brown, toast, biscuit and gravy - just different portion. We loved it and the price was very reasonable. Pretty sure we won't be in this town again but if we did would definitely come back! read more

Great food and service but very slow! Small and not a lot of room and the locals just sit and yak lol making it hard to get a table!

What a nice little diner. We came here for breakfast and it was great! The service was great our waitress was so nice, friendly, and energetic. My only complaint is that the menu says "waffles" but you only get a waffle, I was expecting at least two and ended up eating off my grandma's plate. Other than that I can't complain. If I ever come back to Memphis I will come back here. read more

We had the burgers and fries; they were really good. Service was fast and friendly. But none of that mattered after a trip to the absolutely FILTHY BATHROOM. It had obviously not been cleaned in days (and days and days). And it wasn't just the sh*t-encrusted toilet or the grimy, disgusting sink - the baseboards were deep in dirt and the floor was equally gross. You know that old adage about "if you're curious about the cleanliness of the kitchen check out the bathroom - if the owners keep the bathroom clean the probably keep the kitchen clean." read more
