So disappointed :/. My sister and I wanted to treat ourselves to a "nicer" pedicure as our Christmas presents to each other, but we ended up just wasting a lot of money at lacquer. It was 2x the price of a regular pedicure and 1/2 the quality. I got a signature pedicure, but all she did was take my gel off and put new gel on... there was no massage or any part of the service that made it special or "signature". I've been trying to file my nails to get them straight because when I left they were honestly all crooked :/. My girlfriends and I went to this place for a bachelorette get together. I decided to do the hot stone pedicure. The girl was nice, the place was very clean but I was charged an extra 20$ for gel that I wasn't aware of. My bill came out to 85$ for a pedicure and the massage lasted 2-3 min. For a pedicure that expensive I expect the massage to be top of the line. When I asked the gal why it was so short, she explained that because they had to take gel off my toes in the beginning, she didn't have enough time to do the full massage. Everyone we interacted with was very professional and nice. My coworker and I were sat right next to each other and had our services start at the same time. Stopped in mid day on a Sunday for a quick mani. I was definitely put off by the prices for the mani/pedi combo, so I opted for just the mani. They were able to take me as a walk in with very little wait, which was great. This was the first place I've ever been that doesn't do a nail soak first, and I was a little taken aback by not seeing clean utensils brought out - I mean, they probably were, I just didn't actually see them come out of a package, or solution, or autoclave, but. . . faith. Despite that, the manicure was just fine. Not the most comfortable or luxurious mani I've ever had, but a solid mani, in a lovely, serene setting - certainly got the job done. The girl next to me got some wild nail art done which I was desperately trying to get a peek of without climbing into her lap, but I had hard time seeing what it was. Very nice looking salon and very clean. When I was getting my nails done I noticed they didn't use a base coat which I thought was a little strange but since this was my first visit here I thought maybe this is part of their process. When I took my nail polish off a week later I noticed that the color had soaked into my nails and stained them. It's been about 2 weeks since and my nails are still stained. Would definitely not return - I paid a lot of money to have my nails ruined. This has never happened to me at any other salon I've been to. read more

This review is a few months late, but I just wanted to say we had a good experience at LACQUER with my cousin's bridal party the day before her wedding. The booking process was easy, though we did wait a bit upon arrival due to another bridal party ahead of us. They initially said the wait was in order for us to all be seated together, but we ended up being split into different areas of the salon anyway. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly and everything seemed clean. The quality of our mani pedis was good. I would return to this establishment! read more

Dreadful. Don't waste your time finding parking. It's worse than doing it yourself at home. First they booked a simple pedi wrong so I couldn't get French like I wanted. I looked at colors but I wanted something understated so I decided to leave and go somewhere else. Then they told my I had to pay for a regular pedi even if I didn't get anything at all. I guess they take a credit card to hold a reservation so they can hold you hostage when they can't give you want you want. They scheduled me with some girl who was too new to do gels or any pattern (so no French). I gave up and pick a stereotypical red. She actually thought I would wear pink. I'm not a pink sort of girl but she seemed to think some washed out ugly pink was some sort of neutral. Then she proceeded to paint about 80% of my nail so they looked two weeks grown out the moment she was done. When I asked her to fix it, she fixed my big toes and left the rest. It looks complete stupid. I left it for a few days because I had an event to go to and it has irritated me every single time I have looked at it. I'm taking it off myself less than a week later and I'm never going back to them. Never. Never. Never. read more

While visiting from out of town, I found this place on Yelp & decided to give it a try since it was just a short walk from my hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Lacquer - there is a very clean & soothing atmosphere. Since the pedicure tools are all separately sealed & autoclave sterilized, it is much more sanitary than those other jacuzzi spa places. They are environmentally concious & provide organic products, plus my technician gave great recommendations for local places to visit. Wish I lived closer so I could become a regular! read more

By far the best nail salon I've been to world wide (spanning several continents and major cities I have lived in and visited!). It is high end, clean, spacious, have a great assortment of colors and the nails technicians are not only super friendly but really good at their job! Sure you're paying a premium but this isn't your average salon - I didn't feel rushed and my manicure and pedicure were faultless. We arrived 10 minutes early to our appointment with only one customer getting services. Upon walking in the front receptionist was chatting with a person and never acknowledged us. We stood there for 5 minutes and decided to just go pick out colors. We selected Gel polish and went up to the front. I had to interrupt their conversation to check in (turns out that was a friend of hers and stayed for the entire time we were there). She was rude and was bothered that we asked for water. I told her we found colors and wanted to upgrade to gel. The receptionist responded there was not enough time to do this. So we re-selected and waited in the lobby until someone came out of the back about 6:05. The manicure was ok but my client that was with me had a poor file with uneven color. They finished in about 15 minutes and we sat there for 20 minutes waiting on drying. I was not sure why we waited 15 minutes when there was no one getting services and how we didn't have time to get gel polish when we were early and sat there with no one in there for 20 minutes after. Overall the front receptionist set a tone for poor customer service and left us with a bad taste. read more

Lacquer is AMAZING! Clean, Chic, Colors Top all Others, Nail Techs are Fabulous! My favorites are Marz for Pedi and Marta for Mani, yet my four daughters each have other favorites for each. The owner is fantastic! Alex is an office Mgr (I think) and he kills me with his NeimanMarcus wear on Target prices - I love checking out his hair & wardrobe AND he is so helpful and NICE! I was late for my appointment! I called, let them know it was due to traffic and I would be there soon. I was told that all services might not be available, to which I agreed. I had booked a combo service, gel mani, regular pedicure. To save time, I offered to just have the gel mani done, but was told that was not possible. So, this is what I received: a great pedicure and a removal ONLY of my gel. I was told after removal of the gel, they would buff the nails, so they would look okay. She did nothing after removing the gel and disappeared with no explanation. The other person finished my pedicure in time to get to her next appointment. My nails looked awful. Only the front desk person offered I could buy something to help. She also managed to get another shaming in, because I was late. Just be advised! I hope your experiences are better. read more

Such a great experience and I will definitely come to Lacquer any time I need my nails done in Austin. The salon could not be a more relaxing and serene place to have a mani/pedi. I took my now sister in law to have her nails done for her wedding and we were quickly offered a glass of wine or water and seated in the most comfortable chairs! It was such a pleasure to have our toes and nails worked on at the same time, so the services went quickly in case we had somewhere to be, but we were able to sit and relax for quite a while (we knew it would probably be the last opportunity to relax before the wedding festivities kicked off). My sister in law had some really cool nail art done that she obsessed over all weekend. The polish selection was wonderful and all nail polish brands that helped the experience to feel extra indulgent. The customer service did not stop once we left the salon! There was a bit of parking confusion and Carla was attentive and quick to respond and help resolve any misunderstandings. When I called to book appointment, they acted as if they were extremely busy and would only be able to fit me in for an express manicure. This was fine with me so I went ahead and scheduled it. I arrived early to be respective of their time since they were "so busy". When I walked in, there were multiple employees standing around doing nothing. I then had to wait 20 minutes before an extremely rude nail technician came out for my appointment. She rushed through the entire thing as if I was inconveniencing her. I tried to make conversation with her but was only met with curtness and condescension. I eventually gave up and sat in silence. When she finished after about 10 minutes, which is half the amount of time I waited despite scheduling an appointment beforehand, she told me that if I saw bubbles it was because of the spray and would go away after wiped. This was a lie because multiple nails have air bubbles despite "wiping" my nails. Not only were there air bubbles but the polish isn't even covering the entirety of my nail. If I wanted this terrible of a manicure, I would have my 3 year old niece give me one and it would have been better. The front desk asked if they could fix anything, but I would not want to be subject to more rudeness. Don't waste your money or time here. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Charged my card twice for the full amount and the money WAS removed from my bank account, yet they claimed it had not gone through and I needed alternate form of payment.
