I was greeted, seen on time and had a great experience overall. The doctor has a good sense of humor and a helpful staff behind him. Did not feel ripped off or shamed for not being to the dentist in years. I was referred and also recommend this place. 10/10

I was honestly embarrassed to tell them how long it had been since his last dental visit, but when I did, they were incredibly understanding. There was no judgment, no lectures, and no guilt--just kindness, compassion, and a focus on helping my son get the care he needed. From the start, they were patient and understanding of my son's anxiety and special needs. They took the time to earn his trust and moved at his pace. They explained everything before doing it, checked in with him often, and reassured him whenever he was nervous. What impressed me most was their communication and follow-through. They thoroughly explained the treatment plan, helped coordinate care with another dentist for a root canal, and kept us informed every step of the way. I never felt like we were navigating this alone. If you're a parent of a child with anxiety, special needs, or dental fears, I can't recommend this office enough. They treated my son with patience, respect, and genuine compassion. After years of avoiding dental care because of fear and anxiety, this was the first experience that made both of us feel understood and supported.

The place is always clean and has really cool extras like a video game area, photo booth and beautiful fish tank. Highly recommend!

Ronni did an awesome job getting both my girls seen, X-rays and cleaned by the time I had to leave. She was professional, courteous and seamlessly handled the situation! Thanks to her I didn't need to reschedule and everything was accomplished by the time I needed to leave. Thanks you Ronni and Dr. Jon!!

He practiced brushing the lion's teeth and then got his teeth brushed. It was nice for him to have the visual of the lions teeth before and the doctor looking in the lions mouth first before his mouth. The doctor was great and patient. My husband came in late and the doctor re-explained everything to him (I was not expecting this at all!). They sent a card in the mail which was a cute touch afterwards. The child gets to pick a toy from the treasure box when they are finished. Office is SO clean and staff is friendly. I found them at the RMV farmers market and I am so glad that I made an appointment. It is important to practice & familiarize kids with going to the dentist and the staff was soooo good about this. Next appointment is already booked!

Dr. Erica did suggest she wrap it up as certain procedures once started must be completed but of course i suggested we knock it all out as more was completed than not & it is expensive (i have MediCal). that day i wished i had listened to her but now i am glad it's all taken care of. i want to commend the staff for being so warm, encouraging & their hard work in general. all the staff i encountered as well as my daughter were so sweet & did their best to make us both comfortable. about halfway through my girl did fall asleep (she obviously needed it, that is a LOT of work to have done in one day) & they made sure to give her blankets & plenty of time to rest before finishing up. personally i have severe dental anxiety & wish i had done more research as to what was being done, how & why. i put my trust in their expertise. the recovery was actually much faster than i anticipated. my daughter was feeling better that night & the next day quite quickly. i did give her some ibuprofen the first two days as needed. i especially wanted to thank Sandy at the front who put a lot of effort into checking dates for a potential appointment switch. she also continued to respond to my questions via text late into the evening (about 4:45pm!) to get me the doctors note for school & a summary of our visit emailed. thank you so much Sandy! you are a gem & deserve recognition for your genuineness & efforts. thank you to all the staff for your hard work & empathetic support as this was a difficult day for my daughter & myself. at the end of the visit they gave her tokens to use at the big prize machine & gave her a sweet little gift for her bravery. honestly i'm so proud of my girl. & i wish my dentist was like this! i'd go here if i could.. why aren't things as cool for adults? lame.

I originally went to this practice after my previous dentist of 40 years retired. It was close and…read morefairly new looking. On my first visit, I should have turned around after I went to the men's bathroom and found it was also being used as a storeroom for supplies, ala Mar-a-Lago--MY mistake #1. When I mentioned the sanitary implications, the scheduler said it was just temporary storage for an upcoming humanitarian trip. To describe this assembly line office is difficult. Everybody has a task, and the treatment rooms are open concept, just low pony walls separating treatment areas with no doors. You can literally hear four different conversations going on at once; if you want privacy, this isn't your place. This is a large practice composed of merry-go-round 1099 dentists--never saw the same one twice in over 10 years. The great hygienist I saw was the only reason I kept going back, since I have good teeth and only had one cavity in 60 years. The pressure to upsell with fluoride treatments, shorter cleaning intervals, deep cleaning, and sometimes concerning observations about gum and bone issues (which turned out to be nothing) were just part of the upsell routine. Dealing with this by saying no, was worse than dealing with the F&I closer at a car dealer. I had one twenty year old crown that was examined by the dentist on duty and told there was hidden decay under it that should be dealt with. After the dentist poked around under the cap, I got home and noticed it affected the bite. Afraid I was going to have it come off, I reluctantly scheduled to have it replaced by the examining dentist--MY mistake #2. I had to pay ahead of time to have the appointment scheduled, and showed up in a room next to others where multiple caps were being done at the same time by one dentist. Hearing the uncomfortable sounds from adjacent rooms made me realize somebody was having major issues! Unfortunately, I was the low guy on the treatment totem pole, I was waiting uncomfortably supine more than being worked on. My tooth was hurriedly ground down A LOT and my delay was supposedly linked to the cap being "printed" and cured. After the procedure was done, the dentist said the root was close and that "we'll have to monitor it", MY mistake #3. Fast forward after weeks of dull pain in my lower jaw, which would not subside; the pain becoming acutely worse. I emailed the office and got the equivalent of a "take two aspirin" recommendation, after being told it might be a bite misalignment, supposedly a common post treatment problem. I then called the office requesting a "head" dentist appointment. Since he only works Fridays, I would have to wait the week. The pain got so bad, I got a referral from one of my doctors to his personal dentist, who saw me within the hour and immediately set me up with an endodontist for an emergency root canal, all within four hours! If the owner of Ladera can't be bothered to take care of one of his long time patients in pain, how do you think you'll fare as a newbie? After I called to cancel my Friday appointment after I told them I had an emergency root canal, they offered not even an apology or refund of the botched cavity/crown job! Learn from my mistakes and go elsewhere. No matter who your general dentist is, if you need a root canal, this is a procedure where you want a specialist. An Endodontist requires an extra two years of specialized training above a general DDS, with the specialized training, equipment, and staff who do these procedures all day.
