I went in to get acrylic nails on New Year's eve. She told me to pick a color and sit down. Once I sat down she started with me but it was really rushed they looked sloppy and we're not cut properly. Moved to Monrovia a few months ago and needed a new nail spot. Found this based on good reviews, and they weren't kidding! The ladies are friendly, fast, but very good. Prices are average, maybe even a bit cheaper than most places around here. Not too much room to wait, but it seems like most people make appointments. They did an okay job. A little rough with the treatment and not enough pampering. And they had all the good nail polish locked up, so I had to choose mediocre brands. So I have been coming here since August now and I love it! My full sets last so much longer than any other places that I have tried and I even take my 3 year old in with me for a mani-pedi. They treat her like the princess that she believes she is! The worst! I had a needed a fill and a pedicure, the women started right away... Because it was empty in there. I've never had a more painful experience. My nails felt like they were being burned off and the end result was thick nail polish and sore hands. Cost me $40 and I had to get it redone at Urbane down the street the next day! I have been going here every two weeks for a year. I go because of the color selection. However, the staff is so busy they cut corners and argue with each other. I asked for my same color, v815, and they pulled out a yellow. She reassured me that I was wrong, but I promised that I knew my color. Finally, I found the color, and they said I was too picky and that they had other customers who were in line ahead of me by this point. So I left, but she wanted me to pay for half of the service. read more

So I came back since my mom refuses to go anywhere else since this place is so close to home. Julie is very sweet. So are all the other ladies. They are very accommodating to my mom and her needs so it's really nice to see that! The services have gotten better since the last time I came. I broke a nail before coming in to get my gel done for my birthday so I asked them if they could fix it they said sure of course, usually when this happens the nail shops that I've been to put the little nail glue and little miracle powder that comes out of this little shaker(I have no idea what it's actually call) plus the put a very thin coat of acrylic on my nail for extra protection! This is usually free of charge. When they did my nail the did the glue and miracle powder which left a huge bump on my nail because the glue and powder was not applied very nicely or evenly. So I just let her keep going doing her thing thinking she would do the acrylic later(this place has done this for me before) but she was getting ready to put the top coat of gel on and I was like umm excuse me I would like a very thin coat of acrylic to even my nail out because there's a huge lump... and she was insisting that no I shouldn't or whatever but I was like ummm no you guys have done this for me before and it works out very well. Anyways whatever I get it done blah blah then I'm ready to pay and my mom got a silk wrap and pedicure. The displayed price is $27 but for some reason she charged me $32 lol what??? And then she charged me for the acrylic on ONE nail which was literally so thin. The old owner and all other nails shops have never charged me for this before. My friends and I had a wonderful experience here last weekend- got our Christmas toes done! They can do any art work you show them. The samples in the salon just don't do them any justice. Show them a picture off your phone of what you want. You may have to ask for a little top coat and the polish selection could be better, but that did not affect our experience and the prices were so reasonable. read more

After searching on yelp, i decided to give this place a try. It's relatively inexpensive and the rating are great. I called before going in to make sure there was no line and no appointment was necessary.A spa pedicure is only $17. When I arrived I was prompted to pick a nail color and was seated right away. They are a lot of choices but I picked a bright orange color by OPI. Lena was great, she was very attentive, offered me magazine to read and made small talks with me when I am bored from reading the magazine. She really spent her time trimming my nail and making sure the color came out perfect, she even added extra glitter just bc I said I like them shining. Called in on Saturday for gel manicure and regular pedicure, the lady said they were not busy i can just come in. Came in and was crowded, waited for around 20 minutes. I told the lady i only have 1 hour cos i have another appointment, she said bot to worry she can do it in 45 minutes. Remember, it was gel manicure and a pedicure and only one person did it, i knew she wont make it so i texted my next appointment and told her i'll be 10-15 minutes late. She hurried but try to be thorough, i did not complain or blame her about it because I told her she only have 1 hour. The result was..eehh, she only put 2 coating, i usually had 3. But she bragged about it, she said if i go to another place for sure they can do it, but wont be as perfect as hers. Yes, she said perfect! The thing is, I requested for the same color for my finger nails and my toe nails (hot pink) , i showed her which gel color i want and ask if she has the same color for my toe (regular nail polish), she said yes, of course. She did my feet first, then my hands, she did it in one hour five minutes, by the time it was done, i really have to go cos my next appointment was in 5 minutes. When she's done and charged me for $35, she asked me: same color, right? Match, right? I looked at it and my hands were hot pink and my feet was bright orange :( i really really have to go, so i just smiled. The lady was nice and did the best she could, only a bit color blind. *sighh read more
