Feels small! Can see it being crowded with long lines during peak times. Was not a super fan of being right by the bathroom, but when I had to use it, it was clean and there was a change table over the toilet, airplane style but full size. Also not a super fan of sharing a table - was seated at a table for 6 where 2 people take one side and 2 people take the other side. When my friend arrived, we were able to switch to a table for 2 without a problem because it was kind of in a high traffic spot where she was afraid of blocking the way. I'd honestly recommend just switching to smaller tables that can be pushed together or pulled apart instead of doing the communal seating thing. Food was good. Had the braised beef benny, and my friend had the banh mi. The salad dressing was nice. She couldn't finish her potatoes and took them home to air fry them so they could be crispier. She had the hibiscus iced tea which she said was missing a little something. Not sure if the cane sugar she added did anything. I ordered an orange juice while waiting for her to arrive. Felt like the glass could have been a little bigger but then again, the prices of everything are going up. Don't know that I'd put this on my must-see list for Toronto but I can see it being a local favourite since the staff are really friendly. Tight spaces and a big staircase upstairs so probably not wheelchair-friendly.
Visiting a friend in Toronto and I said let's go have a nice breakfast. Looked up yelp. This place popped up. My buddy - no there is always a huge line. Who waits in line to pay for food? he said. I said, for good food, I can travel to Paris. So we went. We asked for a party of 6 and they said 15 minutes. We hopped in the line, because of the number 6, people behind us sat before us and we waited and waited and wondered what the point of line was. The one less star is for this process. Once we were at the table the show started Good service. Good good food and good coffee The breakfast pudding was innovative and so good. I loved the eggs Benedict
Super cozy spot perfect to catch up with some friends. Reasonable (Toronto) prices and good portion sizes. Flavour palette is clean, fresh and bright; reflecting the energy of the service. Place is very popular so prepare to wait a little bit. Went on a Sunday at 12 and waited around 25 min. A little rough in the winter, but I would imagine its lovely in warmer weather. I like to try different dishes, and I found that getting a breakfast plate + a dessert to split between 2 was perfect. Personally tried the Huevos Migas, Pulled Pork Benny and Bread Pudding; all lovely but the pulled pork was my favorite, being the more flavourful of the three.
We had Serena as our server today and I've been here a bunch of times hands down my fav server here. Super interesting conversation and so kind. The food as always is through the roof good! I highly recommend any of the Bennys but also a hidden gem... THE BREAD PUDDING WAS TO DIE FOR! Don't miss the best eggs Benny either they're the best in the city.
Been here a few times before, got there around 11:45 and waited about 30 minutes for a table for 3, as expected with most spots. Service was alright...a little slow and I'm pretty sure she forgot one of the dishes we ordered until I reminded her 5 mins after getting our mains. Had the Moroccan scramble, breakfast sandwich, huevos migas and a side potatoes- recommend all of these. Good portion size, ended up taking some of the potatoes home. Pretty standard price for Toronto brunch. Nice restaurant inside, we sat at a communal style table with another party at the opposite end. Didn't mind it.
Came here for brunch on Saturday morning, the wait was around the corner and we ended up in line for about an hour. Once we got in the entire has this cute clean vibe, lots of greenery and a cute wood panelling inside. We all got a variety of dishes, I got the huevos dish, we also got the egg sandwich and the veggie Benedict. Everyone loved each of their meals, We all thought the eggs were missing some salt but everything else in the dishes was on point. Felt the coffee was a little overpriced but you get unlimited refills Giving it 4 stars because of the wait otherwise it's a 5 for the food and vibe
Weekday breakfast. It wasn't too busy since I came super early. And it's a weekday. The server was super nice and the atmosphere was calm since it wasn't tooo chaotic busy. Not much of a wait time. I do recommend this place. However it's normally mad busy on weekends and holidays.
Great brunch! Prices have gone up since one of the menu photos I saw on here so I took an updated picture. I got the B.A.B. Benny (bacon, avocado, brie) eggs benedict and wow they were generous with a hunk of brie. I thought the combination was great, and felt very full quickly bc of the amount of fat and portions. The home fries were also great with their ketchup. The wait to get seated took a long time bc of how popular this place is. I probably wouldn't come back again due to the wait but I think it's worth going for your first time if you get there early. I got there a little after 10am on a Sunday and waited nearly 45 mins to an hour to be seated for a table for 2.
Came here for a wholesome breakfast with my friends Monday morning. We were seated immediately upstairs in their beautiful dining area. I was so excited to try their eggs benedict because my friend who loves eggs benedict said this place had his favourite - and that's say something. I got the salmon benny which came with two perfectly poached eggs with an orangey runny yolk on top of almost red house cured salmon with delicious hollandaise, home fries, and salad with a delicious dressing. It was so delicious and filling. The hype is real! I also shared the bread pudding with my friends and this was the first time I tried this dessert. We got the banana chocolate and it came out with a large loaf with some caramel? topping, fresh fruit, and other delicious sauces. Paired with maple syrup, this dessert was the cherry on top! For a drink, I got the honey ginger tea start my morning and it warmed my insides. It was a bit too sweet for my liking but I enjoyed it overall. Didn't catch our server's name but he was bubbly and very friendly. I would love to return again.
We were in the area and couldn't decide where to eat when we stumbled upon this place. It's situated within a residential area. We got there around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and waited under an hour. It was busy and the line was around the corner. This restaurant has two floors. It's a very narrow. We sat upstairs. We order the London Fog and Chai latte. Both were really good. We also tried the hot apple cider and it was a good choice for fall. My youngest ordered the breakfast sandwich with home fries, the oldest ordered The Club with home fries and my hubby and I both orders the Poached Egg BLT. The food was really good and we really enjoyed the fries. They were so good. The restaurant had a clean neutral palette which felt airy, fresh and inviting. Downstairs had a coffee bar with tables and a table for two by the window. The service was good. Our server was friendly. We would definitely come back and try out more dishes. They open from 830am to 3pm daily.
Hands down my favourite brunch spot - they have the best eggs Benedict ever. The poached eggs are always perfectly golden and runny, and their hollandaise sauce is perfection. I love their house made habanero hot sauce - not too spicy but has a good kick and helps cut through the richness of the hollandaise sauce. My go to is the salmon Benny, but this time we also tried the braised beef Benny which was also very good but was quite meaty and a little too much after a couple of bites. Try to come here on a weekday if you want to avoid the long wait on the weekends
Had an amazing brunch here. Ordered the Benny that was recommended by our server and it was perfect. The poached eggs were remarkable. Split open like butter, and the yolk was just the right amount of runny. I don't know how you have yours, but I like to mix it up a bit with each bite. Sometimes, I'll get some hash browns into a bite with yolk, sometimes a full bite with all the toppings, and so on. Coffee on the side or juice at breakfast somehow feels so awesome. It was a really pleasurable brunch. I enjoyed every bite.

Such a cute little place! Found it on a whim while in Toronto for the day and I am beyond impressed! The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and the food was a 10/10. I got the BLT and it was SO GOOD. I also got a Cortado with maple syrup added and it was -chef's kiss- read more
thought mexican brunch sounds unique, so we got here on Sat around 840ish morning (opened 830). glad no line up and plenty of seat (it was full shortly after we sat down). ordered: 1. braised beef bennies 2. pulled pork bennies. 3. ealr grey latte 4.mocha bennies is bennies...basic bfast. nth can go wrong with it. the pulled pork itself is doesnt taste like the typical mexican pulled pork flavor (maybe bc its already covered with hollandaise sauce). the salad that comes with it is very good. refreshing. readying the palatte for bennies. asked my eating buddy about the braised beef bennies, he said 'not bad. basic bfast. the fries is really good. first time i ever finish fries. earl grey latte is one of the best'. quick and attentive service. nice ambience place (simple small cozy...kinda like ikea style). lately been to brunch places with rustic feel, grandma-feel,modern and bit-upscale feel.....but this one is simple..which is a nice change... overall, good for first try. read more

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Broadview, Lady Marmalade is a cozy brunch spot known for its delicious food. We went at just the right time because the moment we stepped out, we saw a lineup starting to form just outside the restaurant. I ordered their Aperol Spritz to start with followed by their Cochinita Torta (absolutely packed with flavour!) which was a pulled pork sandwich served with house fries (which was very flavourful) and their Classic Breakfast Sandwich, featuring scrambled eggs and avocado on a soft bun, paired with a fresh side salad. The food definitely lived up to the hype, and the service was just as good. It totally makes sense that there was a line up outside! read more

4.5 Wow this place was good! There's almost always a wait time (the space is quite small upstairs), so we had to wait about an hour for table of 3. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our server Matt was great and super personable. The salmon eggs Benny here is famous. I believe they used wild caught salmon as the salmon was a deep red colour and tasted really really good. I also got a grapefruit juice which was nice and tasty. I'm not sure if I can reconcile the long wait time in the future, but the food was quality and preparation was quite good! read more

This cute little brunch spot serves traditional brunch dishes inspired by Mexican cuisine. We stopped by this restaurant on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. We recommend arriving a bit earlier on the weekends as they only take walk ins. We tried: 1. A.M Hash A little bit different from what we expected, this dish hash was home fries paired with pepper, onions and cheese. We added pulled pork which had a little bit of a kick. The dish was super oily and almost soup like, which was a bit unappetizing. 2. Braised Beef Benny A typical eggs benny paired with home fries and a side salad. We enjoyed the poached eggs and found the beef similar to the pulled pork flavour wise. 3. Bread Pudding This dish varies daily with different flavours. We had the chance to try a caramel cinnamon flavour that was paired with fresh fruit, a berry sauce and maple syrup. We found the pudding quite dense and filling. The flavour was good but it was hard to finish. 4. Buttermilk Sweet Waffle We ordered this dish to share, and it was a single waffle paired with a berry and citrus sauce topped off with whip. Nothing special or different. Overall, we found this spot a little bit underwhelming as none of the dishes were something we would go back for. Be ready for a wait! During the time I went, they did not accept reservations so we had to join the waitlist by putting our names down in person. All Day Breakfast & All Day Lunch menu though! However, I absolutely loved the overall experience! Our waiter was the most kind hearted and genuine individual. After mentioning we were first timers, he made sure we were well taken care of by giving us his honest take on some of the food items based on our preferences. A true gem! Loved the decor and ambience of the upstairs setting, it was very airy with high ceilings and greenery. As for the food: - Beef Braised Eggs Benny was a 3/5 for me: the beef was a little dry and there was very little hollandaise sauce. I prefer more sauce on my eggs Benny! The beef itself was tender, but was a little on the saltier side for me - Bread pudding 5/5: One of their daily specials was the citrus bread pudding with strawberry and earl grey sauce. It was absolutely stellar! The flavours complemented each other so well and the bread pudding was so trendy and soft!! Would recommend this place and even come back to try something from their All Day Lunch menu! read more
I need to admit and apologize profusely....I didn't like my first couple of experiences at Lady Marm when it was on Queen. That's basically why we didn't bother checking out the new location on Broadview...until today. We woke up early (naturally) and decided to make our way over...we arrived at about 8:20ish and there was already a line up starting! We got seated right at the window/high chairs...he loves a good morning poutine and I wanted to try the Huervos Migas...when they first arrived, I was worried it wasn't enough for him but he was so full! He added the poached eggs and the braised beef...deeeelish! I loved mine too! The coffee was Pilot so obviously we were excited that it was bottomless. Our waitress was Maya (sp?) and she was wonderful. She came to share some personal details - her love for children, her real estate opinion/knowledge, and her wife was the chef there! She was so pleasant on a dreary Sunday morning. We couldn't admire the new decor and layout of the restaurant enough....they've done a great job on the atmosphere. Yes, the lineup suuuucks (most tables at 8am weretaken up by young families) but at least you lineup indoors along the stairway? Looking forward to going back again soon! We enjoyed an incredible brunch here on our way downtown. We make a habit of checking on Yelp on our way somewhere to see if there are any great spots we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The line wasn't too long, and we were seated within about 20 minutes. Our server was super friendly + attentive. We enjoyed an orange juice mimosa and a grapefruit one (both delicious). I had the poached egg BLT (so good!) and my friend enjoyed the BAB Benedict (and added mango salsa) I'm told it was delicious! + enjoyed the gluten free options. The restaurant is small (and two floors). Very bright + welcoming. Definitely recommend! read more
People have been talking about this place FOREVER. They used to always have lines down the street to have brunch there so I never went because I can't stand lines. Now that they only do take out I was excited to finally get the try it (in the past, take-out was happening some days but not others and I never had any luck). They have so many different kinds of egg benny and I was excited to test it out. I got the Braised beef, horseradish crema & crispy onions eggs benny. It was nice. The beef was kind of dry but the flavours were nice. It came with a good amount of potatoes but they weren't amazing. I think it's a yummy spot with a creative menu but I'm glad I didn't have to line up for it for an hour. read more
First off, this place is beautiful inside. It's full of neutral tones, with greenery hanging from the ceiling. It's so lovely and there's lots of natural lighting. We ordered 2 cappuccinos, which were delicious. The cups are small but they were made very well! We tried out The B.A.B Benny, which was so good! I was sceptical about this order but it turned out to be DELICIOUS. I love the addition of avocado, there was so much flavour with the fillings, the pickled jalapenos, and the cilantro crema. I would order it again. We got it with a side of tomato soup which was absolutely delicious as well! I went pretty early, just after it opened, on a weekday so there was no line up. It started to fill up as we came to the end of our meal so I recommend dropping by early! The waitress was super friendly and accommodating. My only remark is that their bathrooms are located right next to the tables along the wall which are a little weirdly placed. I would also say that the prices are comparable to other nice brunch spots downtown, the eggs benedict range around $17-$19, and the cappuccino was $4 each. However, for the vibes and atmosphere, I would come back again as the food was delicious! read more

We were seated upstairs and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and bright it was inside because we had to wait on the stairwell where I couldn't see anything. The service was moderately friendly (we had one nice server and another one who gave us some attitude for taking our time after we finished eating despite there being no wait anymore). The food itself was very well-presented and tasted really great. I ordered a deconstructed BLT with avocado (I think it was about $22 or so). It came with a small house salad and home fries.They didn't overdo it with the home fries like a lot of other brunch places do and I was left satisfied without feeling overly greasy. I also ordered an iced latte which tasted amazing but sadly it was also the tiniest little cup of latte I've ever had (for $6). My friends ordered a mix of things and all enjoyed their food. I would definitely come back again when I'm not too lazy to make the trek to the area. read more

Went for the 2nd time. Their food is delicious especially their Eggs Benedict. Service is great, too. They now have a system where they will text you notifications from Yelp how long the waiting time would be. Always buy their bottle of hot sauce which they make themselves! read more

Yum yum yum to this brunch spot. I appreciate the many variations of eggs benny here. Personally I ordered the BAB , bacon avocado and brie benny. The combination was interesting and quite tasty. They also brought us what seemed to be house made ketchup and hot sauce, love this special touch. Portions are good. Service was very quick though be expected to wait. They always seem to be busy. OMG THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! The eggs Benny were delicious. I got the cochinita pibil and it was exquisite. Definitely the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. We went for brunch and got there around 9:30 for a party of 4. We waited an hour, only to be told that our entire party needed to be present AFTER we had deliberately asked, and had a table waiting for us the whole time. There needs to be better transparency in the wait protocol. The service was speedy, but were not the warmest due to the strictness of brunch. read more
Best brunch in Toronto I was so excited to try this spot in Riverdale because of the Mexican inspired dishes and was not dissappointed -- this place is tucked away in a small building which they've completely transformed with the interior design. Large sky lights and windows, as well as plants along the walls made for great lighting and overall made the space feel bigger than it actually was! The vibes in this place were so good with relaxing yet lively music and the staff were great as well! The food was definitely the highlight -- everything felt very clean and tasted amazing. The eggs were perfectly cooked with a runny yolk, but the bread pudding was definitely the star of the show. So moist and warm, and the toppings paired very well! The bread pudding as well as the waffle change flavours daily so I would highly recommend asking what it is for the day! Only thing is I would be prepared to wait -- I went at 11 am during peak bunch hours and waited about an hour on the wait list but the time estimate was extremely accurate! I don't get waiting in line for hours to make the Lady's acquaintance, but the 5 minutes to get a table on a bright Saturday morning was definitely worth it. Happy to be years late visiting Marmalade, because we skipped the hype and super long lines phase and went straight to the offering. And she treated us well: - Braised Beef Benny: The beef was tasty, the horseradish crema gave it a nice freshness, the poached eggs properly oozed when cut, and the home fries tasted as home fries should. My main quibble would be with the base bread itself, which was a tad tough and a bit too chewy. - Huevos Migas: A good dish with lots of interesting flavours going on. Would have liked more sausage please. - Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding: If there's a must-go-back dish, this is it. The bread pudding was both soft and dense, and the chocolate banana flavour really shown through. Also, that caramel (?) blob on the top just took this dish over the top. Definitely I'll-have-what-she's-having good! Service was attentive, super friendly, and efficient. Sign-up process to get a table is via Yelp, so really convenient. I get why this place was soooo hyped many years ago (albeit at a different location), and can definitely see us coming back for more. read more
