Called to make an order to-go, and the lady on the phone could not understand my order. My reception isn't always perfect so I calmly repeated my order a few times, in a slower variation each time. I'm assuming the lady got upset and gave up, hanging the phone up on my while I was mid-sentence. I called back immediately thinking it was a dropped call, and no one picked up the phone after MANY rings. Finally, the phone was answered by a man this time, who understood my order fine and got me set up. Cool! I was a little thrown off with getting hung up on, but it was no biggie (I know how things are with COVID, and i'm generally a compassionate person, hence this being the first time i'm writing a negative review). I'm not sure if they record their own calls or not, but if they do, then it will prove my case. When I arrived to get the food, I gave a warm greeting and was met with angry/judgmental stares from the two people working there (and they let me stand in line in an empty deli without asking me if I needed help for a good 4 minutes). They didn't speak a word other than repeating my order to me to clarify I was picking it up. Whatever, it was not ideal customer service but I wasn't going to get in my feelings about it. When I finally sat down in my car to eat my food, I must say it was one of the worst variants of this food item that I have ever had in my life. And it's a simple one, which puzzled me on how it tasted so foul. There was a protruding odor coming from the food item that just didn't smell right. When I took a bite, it was extremely disgusting and I had to spit it out. Ever since then, i've been thinking about the possibility of my food being tampered with (since this is a small deli and not some big chain establishment) and I really really hope it wasn't the case, but there's just no reason for a food item like that to be as disgusting as it was. I am giving 2 stars because I don't have it in my heart to give this small deli 1 star, especially during a pandemic. They were not busy at the time, so there's really no excuse as to why I was treated so poorly. I was a first-time customer, and will never be stepping foot in there ever again. The food taste/smell will remain a mystery I presume, as nobody would ever admit to such a thing even if they did do it. read more

The food was ok, I had a Philly cheesesteak. The thing that bothered me was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floor was dirty, there were cobwebs in the corners, and a hodgepodge furniture and out of order appliances. The staff was nice and the food came out pretty quickly. This place has amazing prices for breakfast! You can get a whole breakfast-eggs, bacon, potatoes and bread- for less than $5. I like to think of the breakfast as homestyle, in other words, no frills and simple food. My favorite is the 2 egg bacon omelette with cheddar. I have eaten their lunch as well and it's mostly sandwiches which I have no complaints. Once again, it's no frills eating at a great price. Very friendly and never a long wait when I order. They are Korean owned and you just have to get use to the ladies accent at times. I tend to order the western breakfast burrito and always satisfying. I noticed others ordering that often too. Wednesday's is bulgogi lunch special day. Haven't ordered but my coworker does now and then and smells great! I have ordered different sandwiches and never had a bad meal. It's location is convenient when I forget to bring my lunch and you can call in your order. They do deliver it over $10.00, and I believe you can order online too though I have not. Cousin ordered us a huge breakfast set up to go with over-easy eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and bread w sausage gravy. DELICIOUSSSSSSSS. I can't get over these pancakes! It doesn't need butter just some syrup and I can devour 10 of these! Over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausage&sausage gravy was good. I love how the bacon was crispy but still had a chewy bite. My cousin has had their chicken noodle soup before and she loves it! I can't wait to try other things from here! read more

About what you would expect from a deli. Food is pretty good as far as subs go. I have yet to try anything else yet. I will also add that the place looks a bit outdated. Fast, convenient, super friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Great place to meet up with friends and coworkers for breakfast or lunch. I can get my steps in - within walking distance of office - and walk off a big juicy steak and cheese. Food is always served hot and with a smile. Check out their weekly specials. After an overnight job, I was STARVING and on my way to my regular day job. I was coming from the opposite side of Chantilly than normal & thought it was the perfect time to try Lafayette Deli. I've had this place on my radar for quite a while, thanks to Jodi C., just haven't had a good opportunity to go check it out. I have to be at work by 7am so it is usually hard to find a good breakfast place on my way (other than fast food chains). Lafayette Deli opens at 6:30am and was already serving up a few breakfast dishes when I arrived at 6:37. Nice!! I decided on the bacon & cheese 3-egg omelet, which comes with toast and home fries. When he rang me up, I was surprised... only $5.08! Keep in mind that there are no prices listed on their menu boards inside the restaurant. About 7 minutes later when my food was ready, I snuck a peek and was impressed with the portion size for the price! I took my food on the road with me so I could make it to work on time. After getting settled, I started in on my delicious looking meal. The food traveled well. The omelet itself was cooked perfectly. A "picky" note is that instead of incorporating the cheese into the omelet, they slap a slice inside the bacon omelet after it's been cooking for a while and folded it in half - and this time they waited a tad too late to add it in, in order to completely melt. Not a big deal though... just my OCD in full effect. I put that omelet between toast and ate it right up! I must say, I'm a fan of their home fries. They were seasoned perfectly and included onions (although I could stand a few more onion pieces in mine). The potatoes were lightly cooked. It was good, but I think next time I visit this establishment I'll get them to fry 'em up for a few extra minutes to indulge my preferences. All-in-all, the food was not bad, the place was clean (although in a very random, business type of building suite), and the employees/owners were friendly. I'll definitely be back at some point to try out lunch - probably a gyro. I work near the Lafayette Deli, my office orders from there a lot, and I do mean a lot! Let me start by saying THEY DELIVER BREAKFAST! At least once a week we order in the morning, I am a fan of the omelets and my boss loves the hotcakes platter. The home fries are a little on the soggy side, but I tend to like them that way, perhaps it is because we order delivery and they have a chance to steam themselves in the little styrafoam box. The turkey club is my absolutle favorite thing here. I perfer mine on rye, and let me tell you, it is deli perfection. The french fries here are pretty awesome as well. On the days I opt for the lighter side, I go for the orange chicken salad. Don't be fooled by the menu though, it says it's served on spinach, but its not. I would LOVE if it was, but its plain old iceberg lettuce. You're not going to get a 5 star culinary masterpiece here, but if you want a pretty good sandwich this is a nice alternative to Piasianos. read more

I ordered the cheeseburger with fries - no drink - to go. There was so much mayo that the burger (from frozen) just slid off the bun. Too nasty for words! I took one bite and threw in trash. Never again! BTW, this gross burger cost $10 - how can they charge gourmet prices when they are serving up such rubbish? I am so disappointed! We LOVE the DEli! Delivering babies one block over leaves us ravished! These super friendly people are open (even in a snow storm!) and always willing to deliver our food with happy smiles.
