Ox Deli is a Korean-owned deli that offers all-day breakfast and lunch options, with some specials that are posted as well. We came here to try them out for breakfast, ordering: +the French Toast platter - came with a choice of meat, opting for bacon; the French Toast was good, totaling 2 slices of bread; bacon was cooked well; wished this came with a side of potatoes or something +a Steak & Cheese - with onions and mayo; this was filling, but the ingredients could have been properly cooked through, as the meat was still lukewarm, and the cheese was not melted properly; also, some of the meat had a subtle mildew-like odor/taste to it +and, a Bulgogi plate - just came with rice; wished they had some kimchi that came as a side; the bulgogi was more on the sweeter end, and it had both an abundance of mushrooms and onions; this also served more on the lukewarm end and could have been grilled or reheated properly; rice was cooked perfectly Staff were friendly, and there are a handful of seating inside. The place seems popular with the locals for a breakfast pickup and such. Wonderful little old school restaurant for working people. I felt happy here for some reason. The Korean boss and staff were delightful. If I were retired I would stick around and hang out with those sweet ladies for breakfast. Oh and the Desayuno plate - 8 bucks - legit Latino breakfast w cotija on the beans and crema for the plátanos. Buttered bread. Yeah it's solid. We need more places like this. read more

Growing up and having eaten steak and cheese sandwiches from Korean delis, this place is truly a gem! It's clean, the service is always so nice, and orders are always on time. I've had to place many pickup orders for work meetings very early in the morning as well and they always got everything right. The shop is located off of Sterling Rd., to the left of Wawa. Parking is usually plentiful too. They have a noticable sign for the business, so it's hard to miss! read more

Located a few doors down from Safelite where I was getting my windshield replaced. I ordered a sandwich and read my book here while waiting for my car. Plenty of seats and quiet. They have a fridge stocked with sodas, waters, juices, milk, etc. They also offer breakfast and bulgogi with rice. read more

Two and a half stars. Despite several warnings by a coworker about having had poor experiences here, the Yelper in me couldn't stay away forever. I was a little alarmed to see an ambulance in the parking lot as I pulled in, then realized that they were picking up a heart attack at an establishment at the end of the complex. Only two people chowing down while I was there, which was pretty good for half an hour before they closed at 5 pm. The smiling Korean lady was working alone, answering calls and prepping food as needed. Interior is simple, a few tables with seating if you're not on the go, a rack of chips, fairly stocked fridge section of drinks. Wasn't feeling the Kettle Chips that day, but I nabbed the most basic flavor of aloe vera water that they had; I don't need the juice to be flavored otherwise. I fully intended to get a sandwich until I saw that they had a bulgogi special. I figured that would be the best way to avoid the bad stories I'd heard, and gladly watched her make it in front of me. The few strands of caramelized onions complemented the bulgogi less than the scattering of sesame seeds. The beef had been marinated a tad too long, and the quality of the meat itself was nothing to write home about, but the semi-sticky rice was aces though... and any ABC who eats out will tell you that there is such a thing as bad white rice. Next time I'll work up the bravery to try one of the subs. read more

Had a late lunch here the other day - about 2:00 pm-ish. Since it was after the lunch rush - I was the only one in the place. Your typical Deli offerings - breakfast foods (egg sandwiches with all the meat variants - including Scrapple!), hot and cold deli sandwiches and subs, a few vegeterian selections, salads, Chili, french fries, onion rings, egg rolls, cakes, cookies, muffins, fruits, etc. I ordered the "Deli Special," a sub with ham, bologna, salami, and pepperoni, cheeses (not sure what kind of cheese was in the sub tho) - plus all the normal sub toppings - oil and vinegar, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers. I also grabbed a couple bags of chips - as I could not decide on one - I grabbed a bag of the Dirty brand - Jalapeno Heat potato chips and a bag of the Route 11 Mama Zuma's Habanero potato chips, and a bottle of water. Sub was tasty - solid, decent. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. Just not an outstanding sub- I think it was the type of sub roll they used - nothing wrong with it - it was a softer sub bread then I prefer, I like the crispier, chewier french style sub breads. They close at 5:00 pm on weekdays and at 3:00 pm on Saturdays - so no dinner options here. Still, I would come back here again! read more

I can't be close by in the area and not stop here! The Royal Steak and Cheese is pretty phenomenal!! The deli has plenty of seating. Parking can be a little tight but well worth it! A short order grill dominates the open kitchen, and the menu at this small "mom and pop" style eatery. With covid restrictions in place, food is served on disposable styrofoam plates and with plastic utensils. Food quality is good - the golden omelette is a moderate size portion, with a full selection of ingredients - no skimping, everything nicely balanced. The home fries were tasty and well seasoned. Menu options for "traditional American" style, as well as Central American style breakfasts. I think next time I will start to explore the options. read more

A great little deli seeming to be Korean owned. Everything is made to order, you can call ahead as it can get busy. Pretty popular with workers in the area. Something for everyone for sure. The grilled chicken special was amazing, the chicken was marinated so well. Fries are pretty decent, I like that they at least put salt on them (most delis don't). Went back again for breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. Got a BEC croissant, bacon was perfectly crispy, and a side of home fries. Potatoes were very well seasoned. Prices are pretty average for a deli though I do suspect the drinks and snacks are priced above average as they quickly make your total jump. I spend about $35 for two sandwiches, two drinks and chips. read more

Very inexpensive and fantastic sums up Ox Deli very well. They have every sandwich that you would find in other delis but the price is much lower. The service there is very friendly and the Korean owner always has a smile on her face. The breakfast is great and they will make a egg white omelette if you request it. My favorite is the western omelette or the bologna and egg sandwich, it sounds disgusting but it isn't. Don't knock it till you try it! My favorite sandwich is the chicken special, which is a marinated chicken sub with provolone, avocado, bacon, and some other deliciousness on it. They also have bulgogi as a special which is surprisingly good for a deli. You can't go wrong, don't be turned off by the location because the food is very good! read more

I was getting a new windshield and had an hour to kill, so I thought I would have lunch next door at the Ox Deli. They had a big menu selection, semi decent prices, or that is what I thought. I ordered the Roast beef / ham sub for $6.65. They asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato, and Mayo. I answered yes. When the sub came up there was one thin slice of Ham, thin slice of Roast Beef, an equally thin slice of tomato and very little lettuce, but it did have an average piece of provolone cheese cut in half. I think there was a thin sheen of Mayo, but it was hard to tell. I asked if it came with chips or a drink and was told no. So with a bag of chips and a diet soda the total was almost $10. While the large 8" bun was fresh, the sandwich just didn't taste like anything but bread. I told the manager on duty that the sandwich for that price should have more meat and she just glared at me. I told her that Subway's 6" for $6 had four times the meat and again she just glared at me. I won't be back. Next time I have a windshield or muffler replaced, I will walk one block east to the Subway down the street. At Subway, I can get black olives, spinach, and many other yummy condiments and sauce at extra no cost. the table was sticky, and the Hispanic staff were laughing and joking in Spanish very loudly. I'm all for a good time, but it was a little distracting. I run large trips and BBQ's for our Ski Club and know exactly how much each meal costs right down to each slice of cheese, hot dog, bread, etc. I don't mind a business making a profit on a good sandwich, but seriously, there was maybe .90 cents of product on a $6.65 sub. read more

Typical warehouse strip mall type location with a twist. Parking spaces are labeled per establishment. This is not your typical Italian deli. Instead, think of high quality 'American' food. Ordered the Chicken sandwich special w/ bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato (told them to hold the mayo). They also substituted some french fries in lieu of chips. Found the sandwich to be fresh and chicken marinated. Really good quality sandwich for under 8$ before tax. Barely ended up finishing it. Ordered it to go but they do have a small area where you can eat inside. While waiting for my meal, noticed a Korean option and a few Spanish options. This review is based mostly on the food, which frankly is what matters most when it comes to a deli. I ordered the steak and cheese, which was on special, and they were happy to substitute chips for fries. The sandwich came out very quickly, and was absolutely delicious. It was well composed and did not become soggy at all at any point during the eating process. The ambiance and decor may not blow anyone away, but it should be pretty obvious when you pull up what to expect. The food was delicious and the employees were kind in a sincere, genuine kind of way (meaning, not over-the-top or phony). Great deli with great prices! Their special western omelet was fantastic- Gooey cheese inside with hearty fillings. I really enjoyed their turkey burger as well. This listing may not sound so popular but Ive tried many turkey burgers and they can be pretty dry but this one was juicy and flavorful! It's not a typical Italian deli...it's a typical Korean deli. Not sure how the "high quality American food" ranking was attained. It is an ordinary small deli with a short menu. The food was ok but nothing special and not any different than any one of the other zillions of Korean delis around. It looks run-down and not terribly clean. A new coat of paint and a little cleaning would make a big difference. Also, the person who waited on me was so busy chatting with everyone else behind the counter, I wanted to wave my hand in front of their face to make sure they knew they were actually waiting on someone. read more

Out of the many strip mall delis I've sampled around the Sterling area, this is one of the weaker ones. Pretty standard American deli fair, with a few Korean options as well. I got the club sandwich with fries, which was just ok. There are many better options around here in the same price range. I would recommend seeking out Uptown Deli instead. read more

Horrible place! Register lady needs to fired! Ordered a tuna sandwich and it had bacon in it. After informing her I don't eat pork she proceeded to remove the bacon from the sandwich with her fingers and was extremely annoyed. Informed me I should have known bacon was in the sandwich even though it was not listed on the menu. I left the place cancelling my order. If you want this business to be successful, I would definitely train the staff on proper costumer service ! read more

I really love this place. It didn't look too inviting from the outside but I often pass by it so I walked in one day out of curiosity. It's small but very clean and people were very friendly. The food is great. I didn't try that many and always end up getting the same things because I like them a lot. Try Stake and Cheese, Rubin, and Tuna melt. They are big and hearty. I also get half fries and half onion rings. The onion rings are never soggy but always crispy. Very satisfying meal every time. read more
