I walked out of that office an hour and a half later having paid almost $200, and all I had to show for it was a broken spirit and a treatment plan that totaled almost $10k. I remember thinking "What just happened?" And the more I thought about it, the angrier I felt--like I'd been the victim of a scam. A friend suggested I visit Dr. Manos for a second opinion. I made an appointment and showed up; they cleaned my teeth. No problem! Then Dr. Manos did an exam and asked if he could take X-rays. I did have a few problems, but in no way were they the epidemic of biblical proportion that the other office had made them out to be. In fact, the other place said I was on the verge of gum disease; Dr. Manos said my gums looked great. Fast forward eight or so years later, and my teeth and gums are still fine. The bottom line is that Dr. Manos is the kind of doctor who's in dentistry for the right reasons: He cares about people and wants to help improve their quality of life. He takes great care to make sure you have no pain, and he takes pride in his work.
