We were disappointed in food in Venice until we came to this gem of a restaurant. Ambiance, food, service is beyond expectations. Highly recommended. Only wish I had discovered this sooner. It's spacious, the staff is attentive and extremely welcoming. The menu is a fusion of neuvo Italian. Staff speak multiple languages including French. They were happy to make minor changes to a dish for me without hesitation. It's cozy for small groups and also large enough to accommodate larger groups. They also have live jazz on some nights. Highly recommended.

We were excited to try out a place with jazz music for dinner which is the next door to our hotel. Upon arrival we were met by a lady who assured us that their place is the best in the area. She was trying to be nice and gave us a table without a reservation even though the place wasn't full and tables were available. The waiter approached pretty fast and took our order because we were ready. As it turned out house wine wasn't available because as i was told they are organic and stuff. I decided to try red wine by the glass which was not bad even though the first glass had a fluff residue on the bottom after the wine was gone. We asked for a water and it was provided (not bottled but microfiltered at the premises as i was informed) We waited for our order for about 75 minutes. That's loooong especially if you are hungry. But we were trying to enjoy music and waited patiently. The food was good, not awesome though: mushroom Risotto was warm, rabbit stew was lacking rabbit, pasta with tomato/basil sauce was ok. The most unpleasant experience happened at when i asked for a check: there were charges for cover €3 per person (at a sit down place), for music €3 per person and €4 for water. That same lady who met us at the door argued with me when i asked that the cover charge is the law in Italy and that i can google it if i don't believe her. At that point i just asked for a change so that we could leave. I was pretty surprised when the change was €20 short. She explained that by the fact that she asked her assistant to give me change and he made a mistake. Really? Seriously? The night was ruined... Why didn't we go to a place across the canal? P.s. Interior looked nice, atmosphere was relaxing and they have wifi (but you need to ask for a password)

A combination of a thunderstorm and an early dinner meant the place was empty, but Marco and other staff welcomed us warmly all the same. We had the antipasti Parmigiana Di Melanzane (fried eggplant with cheese) and enjoyed the mains Pasta Al Forno (baked pasta with beef and peas), Pasta Con Le Polpette E Salsa Di Pomodoro (spaghetti with meatballs - not pictured), and Turbante Di Pesce Spada "A Beccafico" (baked swordfish). These were also with the Casa Rosso wine and Birra Siciliana beer both blonde and red. All food was superb. The fried eggplant was flavorful and fresh, and the bread was crispy and savory. The baked pasta was rich, the spaghetti and meatballs were nostalgic, and the swordfish was delectable. Safe to say we all cleared our plates easily. We wish nothing but the very best for Marco and his restaurant. This food was some of the best we had on our two week stay throughout Italy. The atmosphere, staff, and of course the amazing food made for a great experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced homestyle Sicilian meal.

The waiter is very friendly and invite us to have lunch, and menu price look reasonable so let's go for it. We ordered clam and mussels. So amazing and yummy, especially the soup! I really want to finish all of it. The scallop spaghetti is also very yummy. I love this place. Good vibe, friendly service, and most important is the food quality. 5 stars for sure. For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
