    Duck ragu

Absolutely perfecto! Wonderful food and staff. I'm very picky with food and so happy I tried new things. Loved the house red wine. Loved the duck ragu, osso bucco veal, langositno pasta, beef cheeks ohhhh the the mashed potatoes all were amazing. The restaurant was busy at 2pm but was able to get a picture of the restaurant after the 3 groups of people left.

This was far and away the best meal we had when visiting Venice. We enjoyed it so much that our kids (and I) insisted that we go back the next night to have our final Venice dinner at this restaurant. Our very picky eater preteen son tried a bite of my duck ragu on our first visit that he talked about getting his own order for the next 24 hours. He also loved the tiramisu. My wife ordered the pacchetti and I ordered the duck ragu both nights. Our plain eating daughter was happily served a special request of pasta with butter. The apple cake was delicious but the millefauille was the hidden dessert star as I am not normally a fan of peaches, but it was spectacular. The service was great. Waitstaff interacted well with kids and even signed the bottle cap for my daughter as a memento. Regina Sconta means Hidden Queen. Don't let this queen hide from you whenever you're in Venice.

An outstanding experience in the heart of Venice! This is an absolute Gem in Venice located minutes from the grand canal! We had such a wonderful experience that left us wanting more. This establishment is located off the main streets and in a beautiful location. The minute you walk in you feel welcomed into a warm and comfortable environment. The restaurant was immaculate and well maintained. The restrooms were clean and comfortable. We began our evening with an appetizer of some delicate and beautiful tomato's accompanied with Burratina cheese dressed with basil sauce! Absolutely fantastic! We asked our server for a suggested wine. He recommended a bottle of wine for our table, to which he suggested an elegant balanced wine that paired perfectly with our appetizer and our three entrees! One guest enjoyed the spaghetti and cuttlefish with black squid ink sauce - let's just say this was such an unexpected and wonderful surprise. This dish was beautiful, rich in a very simple way and outstanding. Another guest enjoyed the spaghetti Venetian style. Please do not hesitate to order this dish. What is better than a Venetian style dish in Venice? The dish was lively in flavor and boasted many amazing flavors. The final guest ordered the tagliolino duck ragu that was exceptional! The duck was tender, flavorful and just perfection. Each guest finish their entree! We decided to extend our enjoyment and order a dessert to share. We tried the Apple cake and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious! We would Highly recommend you finding a time to go visit this location. The staff were outstanding helping us feel comfortable, and friendly. We felt our service to be a five star+ experience! Grazie Mille!!! We will Definitely return!

Venice hospitality at its best! Our group of 6 came to dinner at the suggestion of the hotel concierge. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. Everyone loved their entrees and wine suggested by the waiter. We were told to be sure to get the tiramisu and it was beautifully presented and delicious. We had one of each of the desserts all were exceptional. What a beautiful dinner in Venice. Not at all the tourist spot. I think we were the only Americans in the restaurant which is always a good sign. The manager was funny and warm, and we absolutely loved our experience here. My only suggestion is to dress in layers because the restaurant was extremely warm inside.

This is not the appetizer I described, these are the home made ravioli, with truffle on top.

This place is worth the fullest 5 stars I've ever given! Interestingly it's so hidden, that we almost thought we had the wrong address, yet it was just representative of the preciousness of the place. The food was soo good, that the appetizer I ordered made me smile in a weird way. The flavors were so well balanced and and in harmony with each other, that my face went out of control, and felt happy. I believe anyone who likes food and looks for something refined and worth paying a little more, should definitely reserve a table at Regina Sconta. Service was welcoming, relaxed and highly professional, I have only compliments for how we've been served. The ambience is rather elegant, small and historic, with a touch that, for my personal taste, was the icing on the cake: they use colorful Murano glasses to serve you water! Enjoy some pictures of the dishes we ordered (just some ..we forgot to take other pics), my advice is to order their carpaccio with truffle and tuna sauce as appetizer.

A restaurant so amazing that our family unanimously decided that we had to eat there twice and end our adventure on a high note! Thank you @regina_sconta for the delicious Venetian dishes and your warm hospitality. We felt so welcomed and look forward to dining with you again! Please visit them if you are in Venice!

If we could give 10 stars we would! The food was incredible and the experience off the charts! We were looking to immerse ourselves in the culture and the food of the region and we could not have been happier. Giovanni and his family were so welcoming and they introduced us to great food and wine. Between the four of us, we had spaghetti with clam sauce, pasta with truffles, Branzini fish, and lasagna with Bolognese sauce. We topped it off with the best tiramisu we have ever eaten! We highly recommend Regina Sconta! You will be glad you went!

We loved this hidden restaurant outside the tourist area. The environment make you feel private, quiet and relax. The food is just amazing. The seafood dishes like the carpaccio and the pasta are well made and flavorful. The tiramisu is very good too. We really enjoyed a great lunch here.

I would like to say firstly that this restaurant's specialty is seafood (which I didn't gather from their website) and my husband is allergic to seafood. We weren't able to view their menu online in advance due to the seasonal nature of their dishes, so we unfortunately arrived very hungry but had an extremely limited number of options to choose from. I ended up ordering 2 starters - the burrata and the wagyu carpaccio (which was actually cooked, like a rare sliced roast beef). The burrata was nothing special, and the burrata has clearly been kept in the fridge. That maybe sounds overly critical, but it indicates the cheese wasn't fresh, and the best flavors are hidden when not served room temperature. The beef was good with a TON of shaved truffles on top, but it wasn't anything special. The waitress was extremely kind to offer to make my husband other dishes not on the menu that he would be able to eat. He went with a carbonara, which was so-so, but I feel bad faulting this dish because it wasn't one of their regular options. Overall, the food was nothing special, but the service and off-menu dish bumped my review up a star.

No matter the venues you've tried this will be your best meal in Venice. Hidden away off a side street, you'll find one of the city's best kept secrets. A refreshing break from €4 aperol spritz by the canal, every dish at Regina Sconta is drawn from Italian classics and prepared to perfection. There was not a bite that did not reflect the passion poured into perfecting Venetian fare for the modern pallet. Service was personal, swift and professional. Light jazz in a contemporary atmosphere. Not a morsel left on a single plate. Appetizer: 1. Wagyu beef carpaccio (10/10) Primi: 1. Tortellini with Robiola cheese (10/10) Secondi: 1. Sous-vide Italian veal (10/10) 2. Grilled beef (10/10) 3. Croaker fish fillet (10/10) Dessert: 1. Panna Cotta with chocolate/caramel (10/10) 2. Tiramisu (10/10) 3. Milfoli with Lemon cream (10/10)

A combination of a thunderstorm and an early dinner meant the place was empty, but Marco and other staff welcomed us warmly all the same. We had the antipasti Parmigiana Di Melanzane (fried eggplant with cheese) and enjoyed the mains Pasta Al Forno (baked pasta with beef and peas), Pasta Con Le Polpette E Salsa Di Pomodoro (spaghetti with meatballs - not pictured), and Turbante Di Pesce Spada "A Beccafico" (baked swordfish). These were also with the Casa Rosso wine and Birra Siciliana beer both blonde and red. All food was superb. The fried eggplant was flavorful and fresh, and the bread was crispy and savory. The baked pasta was rich, the spaghetti and meatballs were nostalgic, and the swordfish was delectable. Safe to say we all cleared our plates easily. We wish nothing but the very best for Marco and his restaurant. This food was some of the best we had on our two week stay throughout Italy. The atmosphere, staff, and of course the amazing food made for a great experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced homestyle Sicilian meal.

For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
