Person working here was a real jerk. We went to lunch with out 90 year old aunt who uses a walker. On the way home she asked to stop at this business to make a purchase. Turns out her credit card expired 5 days ago and the clerk or owner wouldn't even try it. He lashed out at her embarrassing g her greatly. She was confused because 1/2 hour earlier she successfully paid for something else with the same credit card. I immediately gave him MY credit card and then he demanded very rudely to see my ID. Honestly I felt like he thought we were Bonnie and Clyde :) Anyway he's a jerk so I don't recommend this business unless you prefer rude treatment by stores to whom you are trying to give business. read more

Bought a product here which stopped working in a week. Contacted the manufacturer and learned that the product was counterfeit. Brought back to this shop and they refused refund until I threatened to go to FTC and police. Then the owner said ok, just go away. Do not buy brand name products here. read more

I bought what I thought was an authentic snoop dog Gpro 2.0 vape but when I got home it wasn't even the same vape from the window it was a counterfeit fake one. I used it 1 time then tried To return it I bought it this Monday and it's now Friday and they said they would do no such thing and I'm screwed out on 60 dollars for a counterfeit vape when I thought. Told: bait and switch for a counterfeit fake vape that is broken from 3bdays I am currently filing reports with the BBB, FTC and any other fraud and counterfeit agency until they are Either closed or replace and fix the issues at hand read more

The only smoke shop in the Los Osos Valley area (to my knowledge). The cost for a piece is a little pricey, but there are a lot on discount for about $15 bucks. Make sure to ask the person working for help, and they'll gladly assist you to whatever you're looking for. Wide selection of cigarettes, hookahs, tobacco, pieces, and any weed paraphernalia that you need. There are also random stuff that pertain to sports teams in here, like Chargers/Raiders/49er mugs, tee shirts, and memorabilia. Good stuff. read more

Entering this charming smoke shop you are given great selections, great prices and excellent costumer service on all of your smoke and tobacco products. This smoke shop must have new ownership for my experience in this shop was much different from the reviews I've read. When I came in here to purchase an e-ciggarette, I was delighted with the large selections of flavors and accessories they carry and the cashier was more than helpful in helping me choose one. Good selection for a hole in the wall smoke shop!

I have had multiple bad experiences with Laguna Smokes. I finally decided to support another local business and post a review here. I cannot speak on the quality/prices of tobacco since I choose to vape, not smoke. I went in to buy a vaporizer. I had priced it out online and knew just what I wanted and how much it cost. The item in store I wanted was $20 more than it was listed online. I asked the employee (super nice guy) if they matched prices, since I could easily spend my money elsewhere. He called the owner ("Mr. Lee") who offered me $5 off the store price, still $15 too expensive. After a 15 minute back-and-forth between Mr. Lee and myself via his employee on the phone, I finally caved and decided to just buy the damn thing and get on with my life. It broke in about a week. Guess what, they do not do refunds or exchanges. Of course not. I had similar experiences like this before I finally decided to wise up. BOTTOM LINE: Overpriced products, terrible customer service, rude and greedy management. Get your smokes and cigars from somewhere else. read more

Rudest business I have ever experienced in my life. I have been buying the same cigarettes from Laguna smokes for about a year as I live very close by. Today I went in and and the guy took a very long time looking at my ID then in front of other costumers in line he proceeds to tell me "you stole from my store, we have a video" of course I immediately demand to see the video as this is complete bull sh*t. The man pulls up a video of me standing next to his shelfs as my friends points at something in the glass wearing a jacket and then turning around towards the register. Needless to say I stormed out after being wrongfully accused and humiliated in front of costumers. I will not be giving them any of my business and will be recommending the same to anyone I know. Alright, first off, I'd like everyone to know that there are much better places in San Luis Obispo than Laguna smokes. And if you are interested in anything other than cigars or pipes (anyyyything)- then this is your place. If you are classy and want quality cigars or pipes or at least someone knowledgeable in that area- leave this place and don't show them your wallet. This place is run by an Armenian guy. I might add that I was jiffed a $2 when we both knew it as well (but i was afraid to argue). I think judging by the store front size and space in the back, its a front for something. The employees don't care, they are very sketchy and they know nothing about the products they sell. I saw a review about an older lady working there? Well that just fuels the flames. Always get a sweet old lady to brighten things up. lol. Okay lets get on to the review here. So here's the full review. Small smoke shop, great for **college kids**. Many glass instruments and substances. The small time guy at the counter really does not know jack about cigars nor pipes. In fact, I was told by him that by smoking a pipe I will not come in contact with nicotine. What??? So I moved on to the cigars. For a wealthy business exec, he recommends a CAO X2. I look at Cigar aficionado's reviews and this cigar is not even on the 2010 list... (when I last went there in December 2011). Not only that, but I paid $12 for it when it sells for around $8 elsewhere!! I take the bus back to return the cigar, only this time there is a really mean Armenian guy at the counter eying me head to toe. I'm Persian, so we know all about Armenians and their scrupulous shady dealings in the Jewelry business. Many are thugs and my encounter convinced me more so. I tell the previous guy at the counter that I would like to return this unused cigar that I bought 1 hr ago. Its clearly un opened and in its case. He looks to the owner and asks if we can return it. The Armenian says "you should buy something else". As if that was a suggestion. I say, no thank you I'd like a refund. He said "we don't do refunds." He obviously wanted the money to stay in his shop. Beaten I say okay I'll have a CAO Gold cigar and replace it with the CAO X2 you sold me. He gets it for me and we exchange the cigars. I am about to leave when I see the sticker says $6.79. I turn around and say, you owe me some money. This cigar is cheaper than the one I paid for. He look opens the register and give me $3. So I paid for a $12 cigar and returned it for a $7 one and get $3 back. Not the $5 that I deserve. I looked at him when I counted and I just saw a really mean look that expressed, "don't push it buddy." So with that death glare I left the shop, never to return there again. Oh and that small time guy that works there is a real scummy guy. He talked about cheating on his gf for one of the girls that walked into the smoke shop who he kept flirting with to no avail. And he kept badmouthing Jaffa? Cafe and tried to promote "his own" family business. Place is crap, front for something illegal, overpriced cigars, poor knowledge.... just stay away if you don't want trouble from this place. If you're a cigarette smoker or come for substances, I guess this is an okay place. (I've seen the guy give discounts to older, steady people) but other than that, try some place like "The Tobacco Sanctuary" in downtown slo. It'll be well worth the trip. :/ read more

Nice selection of accessaries. I was able to find those hard to find gifts, stocking stuffers for x-mas, for my man and my uncles. Like cool lighters (collectables), wallets, shot glasses, and beanies! Didnt have drive everywhere, wasting gas and time. You know what I mean :) read more
