I love the zen of this place. The store has much to offer from hand made jewlery, to groceries, hand made clothing, drinks and food. I bought a beautiful hand made dress here and an iced coffee. The coffee is a must try, it is organic and delicious, no cream or sugar needed. First sip and I can tell that it is great coffee. The customer service here was well, the workers were all very kind and fast with serving. If anyone is driving by here I definitely recommend checking it out because it has unique items and great coffee. read more

A fine end-of-the-road the road little grocery that needs to put prices on its items and check its staffing. I had nothing but a hundred to pay for my salad and beer. The middle aged Latino guy handed me back my change as a single pile. I started fan it out, and just as I saw it was 20 bucks short... lo and behold he was there ready with the other 20. So the guy likely tried to scam me, and at the very least needs to start counting change, as everybody else does at cash point of sale. read more

The food is vastly overpriced but ok. Store is funky. Selection not great. The main reason for the bad review is the HORRIBLE customer service! I was "greeted" by a woman (owner?) with a scowl who asked, "what do you want?" In a tone which indicated I was bothering her. The only other word she said to me was "$5" as she shoved my food at me. No "thank you," or "have a good day", or even a "don't let the door hit you on your way out." She's been rude on previous visits too, so this wasn't a random thing. Very tasty deli food! I go to the Lagunitas Grocery more and more, and I have really liked everything I have ordered from the deli. The breakfast burritos are great and really hit the spot. Other favorites of mine are the pesto pasta, thai/orchid noodles, Spanish rice, grilled eggplant and grilled salmon. YUM! We stopped in this deli/grocery on a whirlwind trip to find my friend's missing brother. The first time we stopped in the place smelled SO AMAZING from whatever they were cooking that we made a mental note to come back when we were hungry and didn't just need supplies. I usually stop in here if I am going hiking out in Lagunitas or visiting friends. I haven't had much from the deli side but when it comes to things like drinks be it beer, water, soda, etc. and snacks like chips, candy, etc. it is a bit expensive. I understand that this is a country store and there is not much else around, but I am just being honest. Expect to pay a bit more. A bottle of water that may cost you $1 will probably cost you $2+. So not a huge difference but more expensive. Staff is friendly but since it is a small place it can sometimes take them a minute to get to you. And if you plan on sitting outside, get ready for a spandex party. Seems to be a road bike hot spot. read more

The drinks we ordered from the cafe were disgusting. Service was very poor, the older woman who made our drinks was extremely rude. I ordered a Chai and it was lukewarm and appalling. Gave me a stomach ache after a few sips. My sister in law got a vanilla latte and it was burnt. Grocery store was cute, had some odds and ends but very expensive. Didn't purchase any food, but the menu looked extensive. Disappointed with the overall service and quality of this place. Don't go here for the cafe, use as a last resort! I make a point of stopping on my way to the coast just to see what specials the deli is offering. The sandwiches are less expensive here than the places I frequent in the East Bay or in Point Reyes. We stopped in and had some delicious tacos, a while back. We will likely return soon. read more

I adore this local gem! The folks are fantastic, and they have a lot of goodies at great prices. Tons of gift ideas and toys that are not horribly marked up, yummy sandwiches and deli foods, a nice areas to sit inside and out. When we relocated to this area from Mendo we were pleasantly surprised to find they carried our favorite diaper wipes by Naty, and also incense matches. Deli food is good and prices reasonable, in the Deli. But, prices are really high on everything else, including sodas. It's rare to see any prices posted and you will only see the total paid on your receipt, without any itemization. They charge an extra .50cents if your purchase is under $10 or you use a card. If they post this anywhere, it is hard to find. I became sick two or three times after eating some deli items. I think due to the items being left out too long or the refrigeration not at the temp it should be. Overall the deli food is good and many items are like home made. Some of their counter staff are not very friendly. You're lucky to get a hello (and never a smile) even if they've waited on you many times and recognize you. But, the service is pretty quick. read more

This is a real country deli and store. The food is great and you can find almost anything you need in a pinch from cat food to Crisco . We particularly love the roasted turkey available for sandwiches. There are many other homemade options available. Nice people too. read more

My sweetie and I and my daughter often do down to the Lagunitas Deli for a breakfast croissant (you HAVE to try it) and coffee. They always have gluten free treats and locally made desserts, and you can sit at the bright oilcloth covered tables and have your coffee and watch the Valley's cast of characters troop in and out. Their milk shakes are second to none, as are the homemade soups and the sandwiches. Mara and Hana always give you a great welcome and have time to chat. We love our deli! read more

Good fresh lunch everyday! The deli section is made fresh to go. Highly recommend to stop by for lunch if you're on the way to point Reyes.

For great take home lunches and dinner, my favorite is Lagunitas Groceries and Deli. The deli counter has everything, from sandwiches and salads to home cooking AND some really nice, very sweet employees who are very accomodating. At this grocery and deli, you can grab your essentials, your coffee, your milk, your eggs, etc., AND get breakfast/lunch/dinner to go, from people who always have a smile on their face and live to please. T Some of the things they offer are amazing lasagna, portobello pizzas (pizza toppings and sauce on a portobello instead of a crust), grilled vegetables, potato/pasta/egg/tabouleh/bean salads, grilled salmon, tofu burgers, meatballs, grilled steaks with onions on top. There's always at least one hearty crockpot soup or stew, the best ones I think are their pork and vegetable stew or their chicken tortilla soup. The sign outside says they have chili, and they have amazing chili, either vegetarian or meat chilis; I like to get half veggie and half meat chili, mixed together, which they'll do for the same price as a large, and then you get the multiple beans and lots of veggies from the veggie one along with the heartiness of the meat chili. No false advertising there, they have great chili. Also, they always have chicken breasts in a variety of ways: grilled with teriyaki sauce and green onions, breaded and pan fried, or baked with an herb and spice rub. Another thing that they ALWAYS have, despite the season, is organic fruit salad. Somehow these guys always have fresh berries, pineapple, melon, grapes in their fruit salad, nothing out of a can, just a very tasty combination. Along with lunch and dinner stuff, they also have breakfast everyday. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, bakery items (listed below), along with espresso drinks. They have amazing B.E.L.T. (bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato) bagels everyday until noon, and you can get cheese as well if you want to have a completely glutinous breakfast (great hangover remedy!). In fact, their bagel sandwiches are usually something that I have when I eat bread, which is very rarely. They offer a great selection of baked good that come from this bakery in Berkeley. Right now they have heart shaped shortbread cookies that have been half dipped in chocolate in honor of Valentines Day (only 99 cents for a cookie!). They also always have coffee cake, scones, muffins, cake, and cheese cake. All of the food that's offered here to go (or in house, there are tables) are packaged in eco-friendly take out ware, which is perfect if you're grabbing something to take with you while hiking in Samuel P. Taylor Park, spending the day at one of the beaches, or going to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Great for taking on a day trip, taking home, or having a quick meal when you're busy and in the area. Totally love this place, eat here many times each week, and think everyone should try this place at some point. :-) read more
