Ok we went to this restaurant after making reservations recently as soooo much hoopla was being made. I remember reading somewhere that the "the wait is over"....Seriously , the wait for what mediocre food that you get better in Jackson Heights or Coney Island avenue? Are you kidding me??? I don't want to sound harsh but after being seated promptly everything went down hill....Our waiter was MIA as we waited about 20 mins until someone approached us...that is because we grabbed the attention of another employee. Mind you this all happened in the presence of the owners or managers that were constantly walking up and down the restaurant but not once realized our wait. When we finally got our order in, it took about 40mins for the food too touch our table....with our waiter telling us the restaurant was busy....mind you aside from us they have 4 more tables that already were done eating. The food...fish and chips, gol gappa (stale), charga that had no spice, keema was decent ( you can sense Shaan masala) , and we also got a dish that was cooked in a handi...seriously I was looking meat but got all bones....Even though we voiced our concern not once did a supervisor or manager apologize or make things better. We don't want freebies just good service and communication. Yelp has them listed as professionals but I was confused with that one.....I wish them the best of luck and hope this honest review will help them improve....(fyi---get rid of the guy host....too much arrogance). read more

Place was nice but i dont see myself going there ever again ...my first and last time ..reasons being i never received my full order we waited for the main dish (chicken kharai) and never received it so we cancelled the order. we then asked for it to go and they said it wasn't possible . We had chapli kababs and malai boti only it tasted good. The aloo papri chaat is too sweet didnt like that.The Ras Malai is like eating a mattress foam! The place is pricey they deduct their own service fee in the receipt. Given that we didnt even get all the food that we ordered i don't understand why we paid a service fee. My family and I came here on a busy Sunday night, the restaurant did their best to accommodate us. They didn't turn us away and was super nice. It was overwhelmingly busy but they were attentive to everyone, including the people waiting. We waited about 30-40mins and it was totally worth it. We ordered the Chicken Karahi, chicken makhni, biryani, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious! Our server was DylAn he was super nice and attentive. Definitely coming back here! Highly recommend going to Lahore Restaurant! It is the perfect place to go with family and friends. The staff is very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Atmosphere is wonderful (great decor, great music) and the food was 10/10. I tried the samosa chat and lahori fish as appetizers followed by white chicken karhai with garlic and chilli naans and the chicken botis. Their mint and mango mojitos were also delicious! Such delicious authentic Pakistani food, close to home. My parents are hard to please and they genuinely enjoyed the whole experience of dining here. The decor and atmosphere inside is very nice and the service was great. The owners and servers both were very polite and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were so tasty. I'm giving 2-stars only because when I ordered from here back in November 2021 the food was pretty good. I ordered Dhal and it tasted like paste. And it stank. I ordered lamb kebabs and they stank too, and were chewy and dull and tasteless. I ordered the lamb chops and it was the same deal - an awful stench, a chewy foul taste, with an aftertaste that was scented of ammonia, combined with a most decidedly unpleasant sensation as I swallowed. I ordered the fish appetizer and I've had better fish at McDonalds. I got french fries with one of my appetizers and they were stiff cold and tasteless. I ordered Garlic Naan bread and that was dull, tasteless and cold too. I'd give this experience one star, but, to be fair, when I did takeout here back in November, 2021, it was a pleasant experience and the food was tasty. I don't know what happened, but as of now I won't go back and I don't recommend it at all. read more

We just recently came from Lahore. My mom, sister and I all felt the good vibes and positive energy here. The space is so cozy and comfortable, with the relaxed seating and artwork. The attention to detail is apparent with a gol-gappay charpai! SO CUTE. The service is exceptional, and the chicken makhni hand as well as the sesame naan were out of this world! Lahore Restaurant...where do I begin! Well for starters, I've been there a few times. My parents were even present at the grand-opening for the restaurant. So now you all will understand that my family and I are regulars here and we try to support local Pakistani restaurants. I was there a week ago and immediately after leaving, I decided to make reservations for my father's birthday dinner at Lahore Restaurant for my entire family. I spoke to Daniyal on the phone on 11/21/21 and he confirmed my reservation for a party of 6 and he also suggested that we get the table closest to the window as it can accommodate a large party easily by connecting two tables. I agreed and we had the reservation all set for today 11/27/21 at 6pm for the larger table near the front entrance. Yesterday, I called again to reconfirm and spoke to one of the girls. I just wanted to make sure everything will go smoothly since it was my father's birthday dinner. We arrived 5-10 minutes early and immediately I noticed that the table we had reserved with Daniyal a week in advance, was occupied by another party. Still no worries, I figured we'll sit at another location that can accommodate a large party. Then I get escorted to a small table near the bathrooms. The table was for a party of 4 and the girl said that's our table. Mind you, there was 6 of us including my sister-in-law who's pregnant and wouldn't have been comfortable or been able to fit at a table of 4. So I kindly explained to the girl that there's some sort of mistake because there's no way 6 of us will fit at a table for 4 and that we were reserved for the table near the entrance that'll accommodate all of us. The girl instead said that's not her fault and that we had to sit there because that's what they had available. Well then I spoke to the owner himself and even explained that you cannot seat a party of 6 at a table of 4. Especially when I made the reservations a week in advance with his brother, Daniyal! He tried to bring up another small table to attach to the table there already but again, why should my family have to sit near the bathroom and deal with all this when we had reservations a week in advance and the person who confirmed the reservations was the owners own brother? I especially didn't like the girl trying to act as if it was somehow our fault that they gave our table away to another large party. After this experience, neither I or anyone in my family will be going here again. I feel like now that they have a steady stream of customers, they don't care for providing the service. Christine had been my server the day I made the reservations and she was there today trying to tell the other girl and the owner that I did make the reservations for that table in the front but the other girl didn't care to listen to her. That's the whole point of reservations....so when a large party comes in, you already have a heads-ups and accommodate them. But here you as a restaurant failed terribly in customer service and then holding up to the reservation system. I'm highly disappointed because my family and I decided to leave. I would never give my business to anyone who treats loyal customers like this when they have reservations well in advance! Very unprofessional! read more

A complete joke. First and last "dine in" restaurant that actually charges for basic water. And that's after asking for it almost 3/4 times.. you will definitely need a lot of it as they will give you "reheated" food as confirmed by the servers!!! I was told to order in advance because it was a busy Saturday evening, even though once again there entire online reservation system was down and when I called in to make a reservation, they said it's all walk in only for the day. As soon as I was seated, they brought everything out together, all appetizers and All main entrees even though they couldn't even fit 50% of the plates on the table.LOL. This is all before we were even served basic water!!! They ended up talking half the dishes back and a few minutes later, brought it back out only to tell us everything was reheated and the naans were completely dry/flaky as they couldn't care about us at all. We were told specially to hurry up and eat and they had other reservations coming in BUT most other tables were there way before us and were given full freedom to sit and do as they like.
