Excellent customer service Absolutely delicious, fresh, well seasoned and cooked meats and salad and hummus/baba ghanoush. This place is legit, a great family owned operation, do yourself a favor and come here soon and often! Portion sizes and prices were fantastic, excellent value. I will definitely be back soon, thank you very much for a scrumptious meal!!

Everything was fresh and delicious. Meat platters were so good. Mint lemonade was refreshing. The appetizer sampler is a must order. BYOB and they have a back patio area for hookah which is a great hang out spot.

Very tasty food! Had to circle the block to find parking but felt it was worth while. Fast service & quiet inside. We had the mixed platter for two & it was honestly enough for almost 3-4 people! Impressed with the amount you get for the price. Although everything was delicious, there was no sauce for anything except for some hot sauce. We did not like our pita bread grilled. It was rock hard. I would return but I'd have to ask for sauce or just order hummus.

I had been planning to come here for months when planning our trip out for my nieces wedding. Let me tell you. They did not disappoint! I got the sample platter with Baba Ghannoush, Lebne, and Hummus. It was so delicious! The best Baba Ghannoush I've ever had! The falafel was so perfect as well! I also got the fresh mint lemonade and it was so refreshing. Everything I tasted was heavenly!!! The service was wonderful as well. The restaurant itself was nice and cool too. Don't sleep on this one!

ordered the mix grilled platter and the tomato pan, everything was cooked well. Wish they had better pita but other than that would definitely recommend.

Best middle eastern food in Hudson County! Kebabs, shawarma, kufta, and steaks are on point! Rice flavorful and perfect compliment! Their hummus is AMMMMAZING!! literally smooth and buttery! Labne and babaganoush are heavenly compliments to these house made pita bread seasoned and full of herbs and onions! My absolute best is a special plate they occasionally make called Maklouba, which is flipped pot of rice eggplant potatoes and lamb!!! Don't miss out on this culinary gem!

Mint lemonade definitely recommend getting this!

New owners for real this time, not just changing names and still selling the crappy food they were serving, the food now is very very good, 100% better then the previous owners, they have a new menu with more items, I ordered the chicken shish kabob with brown Turkish rice, the chicken was seasoned just right and tender, very tasty, the Turkish brown was rice was delicious, it was the first time I tried it and loved it, also ordered some humus on the side, it was very fresh and creamy, can't give a bad review or complain, service was very good, definitely going back again, hopefully everything stays the same. Oh for desert I recommend the Kunefe, very delicious!

Ordered the skirt steak which was very dry and the vegetables that came with it did not taste right. The meat quality was also poor.

Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

It was good for maybe the first 3 or 4, so perhaps better ordered for larger groups. Shepherd Salad (APP, 4/5) - Fresh, bright(as in vinegar), and herbaceous, we added feta cheese to it and it was perfect balance to our entree. Kofte Kebab (MAIN, 4/5) - Not too dry with packed flavor of all the herbs & beef, I really enjoyed my dish. Went great with all the other accouterments such as slightly cinged wedge of tomato and onion slices, all frolicking on a bed of warm rice that had a nice bite. Adana Kebap (MAIN, 4/5) - My colleague had this one, and I tried a piece. It was juicy and had no hint of gaminess which is always a plus for lamb. 3. Service (3/5) - This being a mom & pop store, I think they're short on staff. Usually they're all in the back cooking, so you do need to be a bit patient to flag someone down. But I'm sure they're more attentive during busy hours. (We went during weekday) Overall, Hakki Baba is a solid turkish mom & pop shop that delivers on great authentic flavor at a reasonable price. We started with the Eggplant in Sauce (Shakshuka), which was full of tomato and garlic umami, and just a small bit of capsaicin to get the senses tingling. The Fresh Green Beans, a last-minute add-on, were the perfect healthy and refreshing veggie dish to satisfy on a boiling hot evening. From there, we gorged on perfectly cooked Iskender Kebab, but it was my Ali Nazik (roasted smoked eggplant puree with yoghurt and tender lamb meat, served with fresh bread) that stole the show. If you want meat and potatoes but with an exotic twist--well, this beats steak and mashed potatoes anyday. My only gripe was that they were out of both the Manti and the Aubergine Kebab--my first two picks--when we were there. But I decided to forgive them after my first bite of Ali Nazik. The decor inside feels homey, nostalgic, and thoughtful. They weren't busy at all on a Sunday around 1:30pm so we were seated right away. We started with 1pc Lahmacun which is often called Turkish pizza. It's minced beef, tomatoes, onions, and spices on fresh flatbread. Their flatbread and even the complimentary bread we received before this was to die for! Some of the best bread I've ever had at a Middle Eastern restaurant. It was warm, fresh, and airy. The Lahmacun had delicious flavor and paired well with the vegetables it's served with. 1pc is plenty to share among 2 people. It was now time for the Mixed Grill which was presented beautifully! All the meat was outstanding, tender, juicy, smoky, you name it. I honestly didn't have a favorite because they were all delicious. I love that it's served with both rice and salad with the salad being on both sides of the plate making it even easier to share. This was easily sharable among 2 people and could even stretch out to 3 people if you order other appetizers. We ended with the Finn Sütlac which is a Turkish-style baked rice pudding. It was creamy and lightly sweet but the rice grains were still whole and slightly undercooked which I didn't particularly enjoy. I'm used to them being softer and even smaller in size. Beyti Kebab is easily a 4.5/5; some of the best Turkish food I've had across NY/NJ. Highly recommend!

I had my cocktail come in a teapot that was smoking, sooooo fun! Staff is great and they treat you with respect, and like they're having fun. They can explain anything on the menu in detail, which you might need if you haven't read the menu before showing up. It is not the most intuitive menu, and the portions are sized unexpectedly.
